We visit CM restaurants often and were so excited to try Cento. The ambiance was great, and the appetizers were excellent. Unfortunately, the entrées missed the mark--my Lemon Chicken was very gamey with no lemon flavor, and the Halibut was overcooked. Let me be brief: go to Cento. You will not regret it. I took a client couple to Cento (everyone's first time there), and had an exceptional experience. The service was top-notch - my clients arrived before me and the staff was welcoming and accommodating to the point that my clients thought I was a regular. Our server was wonderful and looked great in his velvet coat and bow tie, and his recommendations were spot on. The food was incredible. At our server's suggestion, we ordered the whipped ricotta with a couple of meatballs on the side, and created a bite out of the toasted bread, meatball and ricotta. This is a must-try. The Caesar salad is prepared table side and is fresh, light and delicious. The special was rabbit agnolotti (a dish from Italy's Piedmont region). The rabbit was braised perfectly and the dish was seasoned well. This was a well-curated experience. We'll be back soon! read more

I had the pleasure of dining at Cento last night with a group of girlfriends. I think a good experience at a restaurant is the perfect balance of the right place, the right people, the right staff and the right food. We brought the right people and Cento brought the rest! We had a table in the corner of the patio, which is beautiful. Our service was fantastic (thank you Thomas & Raymar!) and the food could not have been better. We had a selection of appetizers and entrees. Favorites included the truffled salsify, the artichoke hearts, and all of the entrees - bolognese, risotto, filet, sea bass and chicken saltimbocca. I've seen this place slowly get built over the last ~1.5 years living in German Village and what a beautiful addition! Stopped in yesterday for dinner on a Sunday evening during the first week. Was blown away by the ambiance, food and service. I know people give CMR restaurants a hard time for being too commercial at times. This felt opposite. It was transportive, and took us to some of our favorite dining experiences in Italy and France. The outdoor courtyard/patio is idyllic, and features an outdoor bar and good amount of seating. The menu is on the pricier side - but I felt the food quality and experience warranted every bit of it. First off - they bread service is housemade focaccia and garlic bread that were both delicious. You know the food is going to be good when the complimentary bread is that thoughtful. We started with prosciutto and melon which lad layers of salty and sweet and savory. I didn't want this dish to end, and considered running it back 1-2 more times as dinner. The octopus is carpaccio style (very thin slices), but is sous vide. So many incredible flavors in this dish too. The oil and pistachio and olive... so much goodness in each bite. For our "mains", my husband and I shared the risotto, a table side caesar, and a scarpinocc (mini heavenly ravioli pillows). The risotto has a truffle oil but then features chanterelle mushrooms. The table side caesar is fresh and delicious and you can add anchovies. I don't say no to anchovies! The scarpinocc were mini ravioli filled with taleggio, but had some zest with balsamic, and I think lemon too. Only critique is that service took a while... but of course it is still the first week. We would have ordered dessert but it had already been two hours. We were relaxing and enjoy ourselves but needed to get home for something so skipped dessert this time. They looked heavenly though. 2 glasses of wine, two apps, two pastas and a caesar came out to $172. So definitely more of an occasion spot, but if it's anything like what we experienced, you will have an amazing and magical meal. John and Haley were both incredible and so kind! read more

My family of 5 had a fabulous experience here. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and our server (Alex) was with us immediately. She was amazing and added even more to our experience. 3 of us shared a bottle of cab franc while the others indulged in a Hugo spritz which was spot on. We shared squash blossoms, garlic bread and whipped risotto before enjoying a Caesar salad. For entrees we had branzino, filet, shrimp risotto, fettuccini and clams and a crab and pasta dish. All were incredible! For dessert we shared tiramisu and enjoyed every bite. You get bread brought to the table first and it tasted so fresh and homemade. We got the table side Caesar salad to start and it was delicious. The croutons were so soft but had a nice crunch. For entrees we both got the rigatoni alla vodka, it was full of flavor, creamy and the pasta was cooked to perfection. Arguably the best dining experience I've had in Columbus - this new Cameron Mitchell restaurant lived up to the hype! The ambiance is warm & inviting and the service was excellent. As a group of four we tried the Beets (which were delicious and perfectly paired with goat cheese and pistachios), Whipped Ricotta (VERY truffley and served with delicious sourdough bread), Raviolo, Rigatoni Alla Vodka pasta (just a little bit spicy), and Scarpinocc pasta (a little gamey). The wine list was extensive, but we opted for their cocktails which all had an Italian flare! What was most impressive was the attention to detail. Really appreciate the complimentary bread and cheese at the beginning of the meal and shortbread cookies at the end of the meal. We were encouraged to order everything at once, which was fantastic as our server was able to time everything up perfectly. 11/10 - seriously go here! read more

I got the SCARPINOCC pasta with chicken as an add on. The chicken was a $14 add on which isn't great.... The dish itself was really good but I didn't get enough pasta. The servers were very attentive though. We all got desserts to share. I think the panna cotta dish and the lemon tort were my favorite!! We had an amazing experience here celebrating my husbands birthday! The team warmly welcomed us from the moment we walked through the door, and made our experience memorable. Bread service and fresh cheese was yummy. Stacy helped us pick a bottle of wine, it was perfect. We started with arancini, which was to die for, 10/10 must have. The artichokes were fine. My husbands bolognese was the star! It was meaty, savory and delicious! Would definitely order again. I ordered the shrimp rigatoni, which was okay, nothing to write home about. I've been here 2 times in the past month and had a very nice experience both times. Start off, the service is fantastic. Very friendly and wait staff is very attentive. You essentially have 2 servers for the table that help each other. There was continuous filling of water, checking on drinks, changing out of silverware. They are also very knowledgeable about the menu and made some great suggestions. The manhattan has mocha cherries which were delicious! The dirty martini made with basil infused cocchi which was a nice twist. We had the burrata, beef carpaccio, tuna and Caesar salad for starters. Burrata was very good. Beef carpaccio sliced to perfection. Tuna was tasty ( wish it was a bit bigger portion). We prefer the scarpinocc and rigatoni pastas for the table along with a side of meatballs. The pastas cooked to perfection. The scarpinocc was better than the rigatoni. Three large meatballs were served on the side in a tomato sauce. So tender, and delicious! I had the pork chop. Double bone in. Cooked amazingly. Tender and moist. The Cipollini Agrodolce was a bit on the heavy side, the dish could probably do without so much of it, but one of the best pork chops I've had. On my second visit I had the chicken. Not great. Fairly dry and bland. Others at the table had the veal parm which they said was really good. A huge portion of veal with bone in. The 3 at the table couldn't finish it and had to box the rest of it for home. For dessert had the torte, gelato and lemoncello tart. The torte was average. Gelato was great. The tart was the best dessert I tried. Overall a really nice 2 evenings. Ambience and service are top notch. Appetizers are very good, though on the smaller side as for portion size. Pasta is really good. I will say It is fairly pricey so probably a nice place for a special occasion. read more

Had this place back when it opened and absolutely loved everything about it. I went back last week and everything was still great but I was extremely disappointed that they are now charging $8 for the bread basket that used to be free and they became much more stingy with the Parmesan cheese. I understand the place is going for a more "high end feel" but when you spend $200 on a dinner for 2 and they change you extra for little things it feels like they're being cheap with you on things and feels the opposite of classy. Would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for this greedy change. read more

Cento lived up to the hype, particularly in terms of service. From the beginning to the end of the meal, we had something like 5 different people taking care of our dinner needs, from our excellent main server to the in-house sommelier to a manager who checked on us to a gentleman who set up our Caesar salad to be made tableside. Everyone was equally attentive to all the other tables: it is clear they want you to have an excellent experience in all ways. We ordered one dish from every part of the menu: antipasto, veggies, pasta, mains, and dessert. The beef carpaccio was the best I've ever had; the veal Parmesan carbonara were very rich and well proportioned; we took some home as leftovers. The Caesar salad was excellent and very fresh (especially as we watched it being made next to us). The cocktails were standouts, especially the dirty martini with their house olives that had a hint of spiciness to it. Even the course was interesting and more than the typical simple bread basket at another restaurant. Cento is definitely pricey, but you are pay for the great ambience, and a very personalized experience. Especially recommend for a special occasion, as they will go all out for a birthday or something like that. read more

Cento is an experience from the moment you step onto the sidewalk outside the fence. The walk up to the entrance is absolutely beautiful, and that beauty continues throughout the entire restaurant. Right now it seems like reservations are still out a bit (it only opened August 22nd). We got a reservation for my belated birthday on a Sunday at 5 pm, kind of early for me but I didn't want to push it out another week or two. The dining experience itself was wonderful. We were seated in the back room in a spacious and comfortable curved booth. The wait staff was very attentive and I felt that they worked well together within the section. It seems like there are 2-3 servers in and area and they all work together to help every table. When either person walked by our table they always made sure water was topped off and we had anything else we needed. Having been to Cameron Mitchell Steakhouse before, I was already familiar with shared sides so I (correctly) assumed that the $24 caesar salad was meant to be shared. However, other people may not know this and it might be helpful if the severs explained the menu without being asked. We were told about the dinner specials that night, but the menu itself was never explained. Aside from that, the food was phenomenal. My date and I shared the caesar which was prepared table side and was the perfect amount for two (it serves 2-3 people but I was starving)! The bread prior to that was a flavorful garlic bread and a focaccia with sauce on top. For dinner, I had the branzino which was cooked with a perfectly crispy skin. I do wish the dressing that was added at the table was at least half the amount. It was a little overpowering and for some bites it was the only flavor I tasted. My date had the 8 oz filet, which was SO good. We ended dinner with the tarte for him and tiramisu for myself, both were amazing. The overall experience was wonderful and I can't wait to return to try some of the other menu items like the artichoke and perhaps a pasta. After all, it IS an Italian restaurant! read more

I had heard that this newest Cameron Mitchell Venue was superior, but reservations had been difficult early on due to high demand. I had received a gift card from my son with a reservation to Cento. Our reservation was on a weeknight, the facility is very elegant and as is typical, dimly lit. Our booth was comfortable, and our server was both knowledgeable and attentive. Our party of 4 had been informed that the serving sizes and portions for both appetizers and entrees were "on the smaller side" and that the pricing is on the Higher side. We ordered the meatballs, arancini, and the whipped Ricotta. The appetizers were all terrific with the Meatballs being our collective favorite, followed by Arancini, then Whipped Ricotta. My son and I ordered the Bolognese, my wife ordered the Pasta Alfredo, and his date ordered the Rigatoni. First the Bolognese was overly salted, so much so that it over-powered the marinara sauce (couldn't taste it). The past itself was fresh and delightful, but my son and I were both disappointed. The Rigatoni was great, and my wife's Alfredo was at best average. The presentation is beautiful, but we all felt a little let down, and in fact my wife and I both remarked that our past experiences at Marcella's were much more enjoyable. read more

Unfortunately, the main courses were a 3/10. We all felt the mains were over-salted and nearly inedible. We agreed they must have been accidentally seasoned with salt twice. The rigatoni alla vodka had very little flavor which was surprising for a CM restaurant. The pesto was the saltiest. Our friend had the lasagna and said "something tasted off" but she could not articulate exactly what. Too bad because the place is gorgeous and staff were impeccable. That said, we will not go back. On a side note, comparing Yelp photos of our same dishes, ours were a bit sloppy in comparison to the beautiful presentations others received.
