So many options on this street, Rossi is one to check out. Quaint restaurant with smaller seating area but impressive menu. This spot is known for the meatballs and pizzas. Guess what? We ordered both! Meatballs, Short Rib Pizza, & Truffle Pizza all hit the spot. The meatballs were huge and the toast points made it a meal on its own. Short Rib Pizza was nice balance of meat and cheesy. The Gouda Creama was so good I wish it was available on the side. Truffle pizzas can be overbearing but due to the balsamic drizzle it helped made it just the right combination. The pizzas can be shared and is the best way to have multiple options. If I get a dessert, it's typically not in the liquid form. But when I saw Pistachio Martini, I would be drinking my dessert. It was rich and creamy but not too heavy. It was so good my friend ordered one after they took a sip of mine! Staff were friendly and offered recommendations. Missed out on the Happy Hour but it looked great. Tip: There is one table literally next to the door so be careful of a cool breeze that can hit you every time the door opens. Fortunately for us, we didn't end up sitting there.

Part of a restaurant group that includes the Press Grill and Club 185, you will see several of the similar menu selections at each location. Each restaurant though has unique features to their individual menus. It is my observation that Rossi is the "fanciest" of the bunch. Press Grill has two locations one in the Short North, which is nearby, and the other Press location is in Grandview Heights. I have posted a menu for your review. My favorite here is a pasta with a Diablo style spiced cream sauce. There's a well appointed bar with a wide variety of spirits available. Apple comfortable seating in the dining area with lighting and ambience that can contribute to the success a more intimate gathering. Standard challenging parking in the Short North, but with some thought and preplanning, you should be OK. If you're not familiar with the area, go online, take a look at some maps and figure out where the garage parking is located. That seems to me to be often the most reliable options.

The Rossi is excellent. Great spot for a date night and you have to try their focaccia bread. The pastas are all amazing and their cocktails are delicious. Definitely worth a visit.

The Salmon Carpaccio is a MUST!! We were debating but it was absolutly amazing and gone in seconds. Chade was our waiter at the bar and his service was amazing as well as his food recommendations. The pizza is one of our favorites now and we will absolutely be back for more.

My first time as Rossi was for happy hour last night. As an Italian who has had my fair share of home cooking, I was pretty impressed with the meatball appetizer. The sauce was so good and had all the flavors you're looking for. I also took advantage of the $6 cocktails and got a mojito and a Paloma. The service was great- I made a reservation earlier that day. Also overall, really cute atmosphere and ambiance, I would love to come here on a date. I only knock off one star because compared to other happy hours..this one is a little pricey and I would love to see more food options.

Service was super fast. Ambiance was great. Food was just okay. Ordered the chicken parm. The chicken was perfect, crispy and tasty. Cheese was light and the spaghetti it sat on was light on marinara. Asked for a side, but it was still bland. Everything needed some salt and a kick in the ass with some crushed red pepper.

Came here as a walk-in with two of my girlfriends Saturday night. Thankfully, we were able to get seated really quickly and greeted by our server within just a few minutes we decided to start off with the house bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. It was absolutely delicious. We also wanted to try a few of the starters so we ordered the fried ravioli and the ciabatta bread. The fried ravioli truly reminded us of pizza rolls so a little nostalgic. They were very flavorful and absolutely loved the bread too. It was nice and crispy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. For the my entree I got the carbonara my friends ordered the rigatoni and the burger. Everyone's food is absolutely amazing and we left completely stuffed. We will definitely be back to try something else on the menu!

Pretty good food overall- cute ambiance with a variety of dishes to choose from. Loved the restaurant week menu as well. Great service and location!

We went for happy hour on a Friday afternoon. Upon entering. We were immediately greeted by the host and entered into a warm and cozy space. I felt like I was in a historic bar in NY or Chicago. High ceilings, gorgeous wood, padded bar seats and bar face so your legs aren't brushing against a hard surface. We sat at the bar where the bartenders and servers were noticeably friendly and attentive. Ultimately, this is one of my favorite happy hour menus in Cbus (half off pizzas, shareable, and $6 cocktails). We decided on a mushroom pizza, which had a nice umami flavor, crispy thin crust, and was pretty large and more than enough for two people to share. The calimari was crispy, nicely seasoned, and came with a unique basil dipping sauce (plus more traditional marinara). Finally, the margarita was a bit weak but still pretty good for $6. Looking forward to enjoying more from their happy hour menu in the future! Highly recommended for a quick bite with friends or a group.

We came here during happy hour and was I was excited to finally visit. Parking is the usual paid street parking. The restaurant is beautiful, the bar is so classy, and I would describe the atmosphere as cool retro jazz. It was a Tuesday evening, very calm and quiet, except for the kitchen noises. Their menu changed slightly, I think they had their pizzas for happy hour previously, but it wasn't this time. However, the OH pizza was delicious, crispy, sweet, spicy, fantastic. I would recommend this pizza, it's very good. We also got the meatballs, bruschetta, and truffle popcorn. I was not expecting the meatballs to be two massive balls, it was good and delicious, just a bit too salty. The popcorn was a bit soggy, but truffle flavor was good. The bruschetta also came on just two slices of bread and covered in tomato and balsamic vinaigrette goodness. The appetizers we got during happy hour ranges from $3-$4. We also got the mini Cosmo and Lemon Drop, and chardonnay to sip and those were good to pair with everything. I preferred the Lemon Drop a bit more, it gave a good sour and sweet balance. Overall, with mini drinks, appetizers, and pizza, the cost was about $53 before tip. It's not too bad when we shared with 3 people. I would come back for their pizza and a couple apps! I really like the atmosphere of the bar and staff was very nice and patient with us. Staff was nice to accommodate us and allowed us to choose somewhere else to sit. I would recommend this place for a casual date, a drink, and a delicious pizza. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the decor of the restaurant. I feel like outside of happy hour, it may be a bit expensive including parking, but it was pretty good during happy hour.

    Great menu. Wonderful Italian food

Great experience. Christmas atmosphere was totally enjoyable and joyous. Great crowd. Sold out. Service was outstanding and food even better

Their visual chart is a…read moregodsend for cocktail explorers, and all of the drinks came out delicious and exactly as described. It's so creative, and the drinks are really the stellar stand out here. However, the atmosphere of those drinks is what gives me pause when thinking about coming back. The limited table situation, tiny cramped space, and loud music means that it doesn't feel particularly relaxing. People are constantly brushing up against you (even at 5PM), and holding a conversation at a normal distance is nearly impossible. NOTE: This place is covered in dust. No shade to the ownership as it doesn't appear to be anywhere near food prep areas (it's on the decor, on/around shelving, all over the faux plants, etc.), but if you're someone who's sensitive to dust, this is probably not a good fit. PROS: -I loooooooove how they've done their drink menu. As someone who is still exploring the potential of cocktails, their nerdy "chart" that places all of their drinks on a sweet/bitter and alcohol-forward/approachable visual chart is SUCH a help. As such, everything I ordered was absolutely amazing for me. I knew exactly what to expect from a drink because of its position on the chart, and it delivered. -Their drinks are really unique. Aqua faba? Fat washed alcohols? Lollipops or toasted marshmallows as garnishes? Super cool. Don't let some of the weirder descriptions creep you out of trying them. -All of their drinks were delicious. Everything I ordered was exactly as described. I often go places where the taste is barely related to its namesake, but they were entirely on-point here. CONS: -I'm not sure if someone called off that night as other reviewers are in love with the service, but our service was really really slow. No real rapport with the staff; just stating the name of a drink as they rushed past and then they were off to try to clean a table or take someone else's order. The drinks they made were great, but this isn't somewhere we'd go if we were in a hurry. -The pictures do not accurately convey how small this place is. Like, it's small. I'd guess less than 1000 square feet. My apartment is bigger by a lot. This isn't necessarily an issue, but it means people pile up quickly as they wait for seating (there's like 4/5 tables and then bar seating). The human walkways are small enough that the bartenders and other guests will brush against you a lot - even while seated. -I get the vibe they were going for here, but with the smaller space, I think a lot of the potential decor options had to "go" in order to fit more humans. It's giving me hardcore The Hearth Room (in Cincinnati) vibes, and I think it could honestly pull it off if it simply had more space. The "relaxed, sophisticated bourbon bar" doesn't quite come through as well when things are so focused on simply fitting in more bodies. -It's loud AF. Like, really, really loud. Between all the people and the blasting pop music, it required leaning into someone's ear in order to speak at normal volumes. We'd regularly have to pause the conversation if something in the music was building to a drop. This is not a place I'd take someone I wasn't very very comfortable with because it really requires being in someone's space to talk. -There's a single all-gender toilet here for everyone in the establishment. It's basically a revolving door of people in and out of it. The door auto-closes, however, so it's really difficult to figure out if it's open or not. There was usually a queue of people waiting in front of the door.

Really in love with its vibes, both indoor dining room with different segments of seatings and outdoor patio tables are amazing. The interior design here is truly unique and artistic. Great for big groups, date night, or even just chilling with friends. Not sure if it's the standard here, but there was never anyone filling our water during the entire dining time after they left 2 bottles of water on the table. Our server is patient and friendly but not on point. They messed up our orders, forgot one order and brought one wrong (we ordered smashed burger but received chicken sandwich). Very surprising that the staff didn't do anything or offer to send in the correct order. The chef of table service for Tomahawk is fun and enjoyable to carry conversations but unfortunately our Tomahawk was overcooked. We loved the presentation for sure though. Their smoked ribs is not "smoked" but boiled and soaked in sauce. The "smoked" part refers to its presentation, but their machine was down, and we were not told, so we basically got the ribs, neither smoked in cooking method nor smoked when it was brought to our table. The donut tree is another one great for eyes and cameras. It comes with little fireworks at the table service. Overall we enjoyed the breeze and atmosphere here. Will come back for relaxation if in town.

Each to-go bottle was equivalent to 2 drinks and came with a bag of chips. Now that's both cute and awesome. Yesterday we came in after moving into the neighborhood and enjoyed the back patio. What a nice place to spend an evening. Spacious yard with plenty of tables and seating. There was a tarot reader last night too so you could sign up to have a reading. We sat with our pup and enjoyed a couple drinks each while decompressing from a busy weekend of unpacking and settling in. Ordered the goodnight sweet prince which was mezcal with chartreuse, lime, Prosecco, pea flower (which I learned is purple ha). I wanted the drink not sweet and the bar must have run out of syrup for me lol. It was perfect without it. More on tart side but that's how I like it. Second drink was a negroni with dry vermouth. Predictable and always a fave for me. I also tasted a barrel aged whiskey just for fun and it's saying a a lot that I could sip it. I normally cannot drink whiskey but this tasted amazing and too easy to drink. Creative and interesting drinks for a good price. They have beer and wine too if you're not into cocktail. And cbd drinks too! They really have it all. I had to ask the bartender if the wine prices were glass or bottle (we are used to $17-$20 glasses in Seattle) and to my very pleasant surprise learned they are bottle prices. I also saw they had $5 negronis during happy hour and that really spoke to me. We will return often.
