Horrible expereince. He added the freon before checking if there was a leak. Waste of money. Charged me for the freon which is $100 per lbs. He just kept saying he was trustworthy and trying to help, but does that really mean its the truth? Don't say you have an old AC, He will break yours and try to sell you a new one. Fast reply, free quote on a new install, and all were professional and willing to spend the time to understand my needs and give me a fast price with a promise of a fast timeline. CCA was not the lowest bid, but they were close. There was just a feeling i had this was the place. The owner has a great story of going from handyman to HVAC tech to contractor and then business owner. I have nothing negative to say about the competition, but you can't go wrong with CCA, they quoted on Wednesday and installed Friday. Luis took my call after hours on a Friday evening and came to look at my AC. I had a prior visit from another company from my home warranty on Tuesday where I thought the proper repairs were made, but it broke again only a couple days later after closing time. Luis text me prior to arriving and talked to me about different problems my AC could have. Got it running with no charge and even came again the following day to check if my unit was over-amping or could confirm possible breaker issues, which ended up being the problem. He expressed wanting to help me since my husband had passed away a couple years prior and I admitted I knew absolutely nothing about any of these home systems, but also knew electrical wasn't covered by my home warranty. At the busiest point of the season, he still offered to look for a breaker for me and install it if I needed. Thankfully, I was able to get the correct breaker and replace it with my son's help and our AC is cooling again like a dream. I appreciate Luis for his timeliness, professionalism, understanding and explanation of AC systems and problems. But mostly I appreciate that he is a kind, honest person with good values and that's hard to find these days. Where it would have been easy to charge me a lot of money for his time after-hours, he wouldn't let me pay him at all. I would give him a 20/10 . I would recommend any and all friends and family go through him. If I ever do have another AC issue, I won't even call my home warranty, I'd just call him. I am also committing to calling him each year for maintenance before the busy season, since I know he will do quality work. He listened to my concern and described exactly what needed to be done. My air conditioning unit began to blow out warm air late on a weekend. I called an air conditioning company to come out Monday afternoon to take a look at it. They found the problem and quoted me a price that was really high. I decided to go to Yelp and request a quote from some of the other companies in town. When I requested the quotes it was actually on July 4th so I knew that most companies would be closed. For some reason the responses to my quotes I was not receiving on my phone. The next afternoon I got a call from Luis at Central California Air. He was just checking on me as I had not responded to his post. He offered to come out Wednesday for a free estimate and make sure of the problem. He met me at the house was very nice. He checked out my unit and told me that yes that my condenser was the problem. He quoted me a price that was considerably less than the price I was quoted earlier. He said that he could come the next day and take care of it between 12 and 1. He was there on time told me that he would have the job done within 30 to an hour. He finished in that time frame. Made sure that everything was working properly. I am very impressed with Luis the owner!! Had he not contacted me and followed up I would have spent way more money than I would have had to.
