Our AC unit wasn't cooling and this week it started warming up so we were in need of someone to come check it out. Hands down one of the best experiences I've had with a repair person. I called on a Friday afternoon and he came out on Saturday. Jay was very communicative. While working on our AC he took video while on the roof and showed me exactly the problem. Our problem was a condenser motor and his prices were VERY reasonable, especially since it was on a weekend. I wish I could give Jay's 10 Stars! I read the reviews of Jay's HVAC and knew right away that he was who I needed asap, as my AC had quit working Tuesday afternoon. I called my regular serviceman and his first appointment was 10 days out. When I found Jay here I reached out to him about 6:30 pm left a message, expecting a call Wednesday morning. To my surprise Jay called right back and graciously fit me in the next day, Thursday. When he arrived he assessed the issue, went on the roof and sent photos of the problem, gave me an estimate which I quickly ran by my grandson's boss who is experienced with HVAC . I asked him what the average cost would be to repair my three issues. His knowledge of pricing ended up being $400 more than Jay's estimate. Of course I told him yes and in about an hour or a little more AC was fixed. Before he left he washed out and did a full maintenance check that normally is $85, he checked the air output at every vent which I had never had done before. He checked my filter. He showed me everything every step of the way. He gave me great advice in so many areas plus a few tips for checking to see if there is good circulation from the filter. He gave a one year full warranty. My invoice was so thorough with more information than I think I will ever need, Jay will definitely be my HVAC Company with annual maintenance and any possible future repairs. Called Jay at about 1pm on a warm day. My tenant said the AC was coming on but the fan was not working. Jay said he'd be there between 3 and 5. WOW!!! Just outstanding! Called Jay Friday after 5 after reading Yelp reviews and see he did weekend calls. AC failed on one of hottest days of the year. He came out Saturday a.m.. Checked in regularly regarding ETA and my schedule. He didn't charge afterhours or weekend rate. Just usual service call. Jay inspected and gave me some bad news. Major component failed. ( ECM module). He started parts shopping and research 1st thing Monday a.m. OEM part alone was $1600 and on backorder. Would have been well over $2000 installed. Jay researched options including with manufacturer's tech rep and found much lower cost alternative.. Noticed my air conditioner making noise. I was so worried because it's been like 112 and I medically need to have air conditioning. I found Jays on yelp and they had great reviews. He was immediately helpful, and made me feel like our service call was top priority, even though I know he probably had tons of other calls lined up. When no technicians were near by, he said he would come out personally and he did! He was upfront with costs including the diagnostic fee, but everything he said was wrong, was correct, we needed a new compressor and thermostat among other things. Our AC stopped working. They came in and diagnosed what was wrong. Other companies wanted to charge us for a whole new system but these guys knew what they were doing, weren't out to scam us or anything, and only needed to replace a specific part in the attic for a portion of the price. I asked other companies if this was something that was possible and they beat around the bush after realizing I spoke with the right people. These guys are genuine and the real deal.
