I do not recommend this medical spa for any services. Over the last few weeks, I have watched my…read moreface go from beautiful to deformed due to improper injection techniques and not diluting my Hyperdilute Radiesse enough. The provider stated they used a 1:2 ratio in my neck when it should be 1:4, which is why I have lumps all over it. I found out just how many calcified lumps I had when I had to get a CT scan with contrast and found out the hard way they show up on a scan, unbelievable (I could have let the doctor know before they did it if I had known, but I had to get a second scan to rule anything out). My primary provider does a 1:4, and it is on almost all information that a 1:4 ratio is the way to do the treatment properly (For treating neck laxity, a higher dilution (like 1:4) is often preferred as it allows for more even distribution of the product across the area). But they did a 1:2, so I have a lumpy neck now (not very attractive). For the under-eye filler, which I was reassured Rachel knew how to perform better than anyone (her words), both eyes looked different. The right side had an odd sack of filler under the right eye, and the left side stayed bruised for a very long time and was lumpy and uneven (both sides were not only different; they made my face look horrible, and it aged me). To make matters worse, I had a Hyperdilute Radiesse treatment done under my chin; I now have a heavy pocket filled with calcium (again, because it is not being diluted enough). I gave the provider a chance to refund the under-eye filler (which I paid $900 to dissolve, which she assured me she would take care of when we met, but she did not. So, I paid $1,200 for a treatment that deformed my face and $900 to have it all dissolved so I could look normal again. This means I am $2,100 out of pocket and will need to return to my primary provider to get things looking good again, so yes, more money. Even after meeting with the owner to discuss my issues, which she apologized for and agreed that my treatments were no good, she still only provided me with the last two Hyperdilute Radiesse treatments that I never received. Still, even that was not the right amount (it should have been $1,600, not $1,500). I took time out of my day to meet with the owner on a Saturday, who took pictures of my face and wrote a note to my main provider about how to reduce the LUMPS on my neck from the improper injection technique by Rachel. It pains me to put this on a review, but I have allowed enough time to give this Medical Spa the time to make it right (not to mention my own time). I knew something was wrong, so I emailed on November 8, 2024, at 8:43 a.m. The office staff ignored my first email, so I had to call to explain how bad my face looked. She said to wait another week (which had already been three) to see what happens. Wait another week; I'm sorry. It's my face, for crying out loud. I am beside myself in explaining why they would not do the right thing. Please know you need to be careful here! Avoid this place if you can. They say they can do something but overpromise and underdeliver. What they did to my face was unacceptable, and I had to tell others what happened.

I first came to see Dr. Noddleman just a few months before my wedding. I've suffered with moderate…read moreeczema for most of my lie, but in the months leading up to my wedding, I suffered a major outbreak....all over my body, especially on my face. I was devastated & hysterical at how badly my face had broken out, with just 10 weeks until our wedding! Dr Noodleman, & his amazing staff, put me at ease IMMEDIATELY, promising me that, not only was their primary focus to alleviate my pain & discomfort ASAP, but to have me looking my best well in advance of wedding day. I knew right away that they cared about me as a person, & understood how important it was to me to have clear skin on my wedding day! At this time, I didn't have insurance, & Dr Noodleman made sure whatever prescriptions & treatments he prescribed were something we could easily afford. He & his staff worked tirelessly to try to get me in touch with a pharmaceutical rep who could (hopefully) get me on a trial run of a new FDA drug that would essentially shut down my eczema altogether. He said it was my best option for long term treatment, but he would continue to do everything he could get me past this breakout & through my wedding day. Thanks to Dr Noodleman, & every fabulous office staff member, not only did I get a trial run of the wonder drug (it saved me!) but he has continued to follow up with me to make sure 1) I was feeling confident the week before my wedding 2) that I was able to get the new medication & it was working for me 3) that there was nothing more he or his staff could do for me to make sure I was feeling & looking my best Never have I ever had any type of doctor who I felt was so genuinely invested in my care, my needs & my quality of life. I have continued to see Dr Noodleman since my wedding for all of my skin care needs & will certainly be recommending him & his staff to all of my friends. Thank you Dr Noodleman & staff for truly caring for me & always giving me the best quality of care I have ever experienced!

I had a very small benign cyst removed on my back, the original doctor put in one stitch. When I…read morecame back to have it removed 11 days later (as scheduled by doctor's office), one of the receptionists came in to remove the stitch. The first thing she does after poking around at it for a few minutes (very painful) is ask me if it was one or two stitches. I told her I didn't know, which was true because I wasn't sure, and she continued to pick around and pull at it, then removed it. She told me she thinks that my skin might have grown over one of the other stitches. Great. A few minutes later, she has the second receptionist come in. At this point, I'm still laying on the table with my shirt all the way up my back facing the wall. The second receptionist comes in, does not announce herself as a different person than the first one, does not wash her hands, just puts on gloves and starts poking around at my back again. The pain at this point is so great I nearly faint. She grabs the door and starts talking to the other receptionist and they confirm that neither of them knows what the f**k they are doing or looking at. So they finally have an actual doctor come in, who was NOT the original doctor who did the procedure. This doctor also also unsure of what she was looking at, and because receptionist had already removed the stitch, did not bother to try and confirm with the original doctor how many he put in and just started scraping at my back with a q-tip super painfully to try and see if there's anything in there. Clearly she reopened the wound, and much worse. After confirming there wasn't another stitch, she sent me on my way but I was very concerned at this point that they had re-injured my back and reopened the wound. After viewing it healing afterwards I was worried they completely botched it or infected it and now I'm going to have a huge scar instead of a tiny line like it was originally. It looks super infected and is getting more painful and uncomfortable by the day. I'm being totally gaslit by the office who claims it's healing totally normally. I just want to know why they have not only people untrained enough to not know how many stitches are in someone, removing the stitches, and also why they have nothing written down?? They should know before I enter the room how many stitches the doctor put in me! They shouldn't be asking me. Additionally why no washing hands when removing someone's stitches?? Why gaslight me for days afterwards telling me it looks fine when it's clearly showing signs of infection? Update - it ended up getting super infected, I messaged them multiple times and they told me it was normal healing. Finally days later they realized how bad it was and gave me antibiotics. I am now left with a HUGE SCAR over 1 inch in diameter on my back from what was a completely invisible cyst. I have major distrust of doctors after this experience and will never seek help for anything like this again. I am traumatized from Direct Derm. I wish I had tried to pursue litigation against them.

I typically don't leave reviews but I've had my second appointment with Catherine Biren and…read more.. 1) Twice they hand me a print out for female pattern baldness(?) 2) On the second visit the doctor tells me I can take my own before and after shots when I requested to see the images they had taken. In context I was stating that my hair-line had receded since the last visit; which I don't recall affirmation of, then I wanted to use their reference images to validate my claim. So either it was dismissive, evasive, or both. 3) Dr Biren informed me that finasteride is not FDA approved and treated as "under the table." The implication; IIRC, being that its not really prescribed or approved to address male pattern baldness. Much like how Minoxidil was originally prescribed for high blood pressure - The assertion (or implication?) is that even today these drugs are prescribed "under the table" as they are not intended to address balding at all. I took her word at the time but quick research shows that Finasteride has been FDA approved for male pattern baldness since the 90s. 4) While they brought up potential blood pressure monitoring; as they prescribed Oral Monoxidil in the prior visit, they both did not follow up and seemed to have misplaced the tools needed for blood pressure measurement? I even expressed excitement over getting my blood pressure readings at the time. I was recommended by a Monterey Primary care doctor who did not know what Finasteride was at all. Stated it was another name for Minoxidil. Then recommended this Dermatologist once it became evident that assertion was false. Is this a thing with Monterey doctors? I have already spent hundreds of dollars and been delayed for almost a year (IE Primary doctor - Dermatologist initial - Dermatologist follow up). My initial goal was to; basically, get a prescription for Finasteride and have my health indicators monitored for negative side-effects. Instead I'm told Finasteride == Monoxidil and that Finasteride is not FDA approved. I really don't know what to make of that. Incredibly frustrating. The general attitude I sensed from my visits was; basically, that I should just accept that I am balding. I can respect that sentiment to an extent but then why prescribe Minoxidil and schedule a follow-up? I can see myself being dissuaded from using Finasteride but I do not believe it is acceptable to do so under false basis. Addendum: I also recall not being able to get a cost projection before leaving the practice and scheduling the theoretic follow-up appointment? Even this seems a bit... Unethical?
