What a wonderful body shop this is!! I would give them more stars if possible and will be sure to recommend everyone I know to this shop! They are very easy to work with, take care of all of the insurance stuff, went above and beyond with the work on my car plus a bit extra! They made a bad situation (crashing my car) into not such a bad situation! Also gave me a Honda Civic loaner car for the whole time I did not have my car which helped me able to get to and from my college classes and work free of charge! Since I had a car accident just over 24 hours ago, my phone has been flooded with messages from collision shops, chiropractors, and agencies offering to "help" me (and help themselves to the insurance money, since the other party was cited in the accident). I got a text message from Central Collision straight-up offering not quality service, not great repairs, but a promotion to either pay my deductible, get me "up to" $500 cash back, or give me a 10" tablet (they didn't say the brand.. probably a cheap-ass one). WHAT. THE. HELL. Look, dudes. When someone has been in a car accident the day before, the LAST thing they want is to get flooded with a bunch of phone spam from people trying to take advantage of their misfortune. I will never, ever use Central Collision because they're opportunistic and rude to subscribe to such a practice; I can't even imagine that they would, in turn, take amazing care of my car--they can't even wait an appropriate amount of time before contacting me after I've been in an accident! The person who answered said she was the manager and after I asked about their policy, just hung up on me. Every customer interaction is a plus or a minus for a business. There is no such thing as a neutral event. This was definitely a negative. ---------------------------------- My response to the company reply... ---------------------------------- If I was a customer and I asked you to text me, you are absolutely correct that would never be an issue, but what you are doing is spamming people you want to be your customers and that's just a bad approach in my opinion. Great experience here! My daughter, an OSU student was in an accident and hours from home- we handled everything by phone through Central Collision and everyone we dealt with was kind, helpful and communicated well- they gave her a loaner car which allowed her to get to classes and work while her car was being checked and they are located very close to campus! Unfortunately, I cannot give a review on the quality of the repair as her car was considered a total loss by our insurance company and no repairs were completed. Central Collision is the best body shop that I have been to, bar none. Their office staff are friendly and helpful, their technicians are fully qualified and do terrific work, and they go over and above the standard that I expected. The first time I came to Central Collision, I had been involved in an at-fault accident for which I was required to pay a $500 deductible. Central Collision quickly did an accurate estimate and ensured me that not only would they cover my deductible in full, but they would get my car back to me, completely repaired, in much less time than I had anticipated. During the repair process, their office staff kept me informed, and made sure that I knew that I was appreciated as a customer. During my most recent visit, I was involved in a non-fault accident and again chose to come to Central Collision because of my great previous experience. I was wowed again. The service was top-notch; of the same caliber as I would expect from the dealership, their staff was as friendly as ever, and they provided me a very nice loner vehicle for the time that mine was being repaired. At the conclusion of the repairs, they wrote me a check as well for a percentage of the repair cost as an appreciative gesture. Central Collision is, by far, the best body shop that I have been to and I eagerly suggest them to anyone in need of service. Just before Halloween, my wife was involved in a pretty nasty crash. Front end of her brand new Kia Sorento was all banged up. Central Collision was referred to us by a friend so we went to check them out. Don't judge a book by its cover; CC is small and doesn't really pack the curb appeal, but once you get in the door you're welcomed by real people. In the genuine sense. They explained the process and told us the estimated time for completion looked to be 3-4 weeks. Plus, they would cover the deductible! They even hooked us up with a rental free of charge. About a week later, the battery on the rental started to give and while my wife was at work, CC came out and swapped the car with a new rental - also free. Although the 3-4 week timeline came and went, they kept us up to speed on the issues. Most of which, they were on the receiving end of problems from the manufacture. Yes, we wanted our vehicle... but not willing to rush the job when it was the seat belt and airbag that was causing the issues. In the meantime, the holidays were coming up. Instead of us having to utilize our smaller vehicle to travel - with a spaceship of a car-seat to force in the backseat - CC rented us an Enterprise vehicle for the inconvenience. The day we returned, our baby was back. Looking the same way it looked when it was driven off the lot. I write this 'book' of a review for two reasons: One because fake reviews are short and we benefited from a true referral, as I would like to give you. And two, because unlike many corporation companies, the customer is left feeling that they truly matter. Even though they received a good amount of money from our accident, it's easy to work people over. It's hard to give a damn. I was visiting my daughter in NY and was side swiped by their local delivery guy. He gave me his phone number and told me to get an estimate. I came back home to Columbus OH and went to Central collision repair to get said estimate. I walked in and saw Carol at the front desk. I let them know my truck was side swiped and I needed an estimate. She asked me what insurance company? I said I did not know she then got incredibly rude and curt telling me they did not want my business. I was taken aback like WTF is going on? I said I am not sure about how to do this so can you tell me what the process is here? She said I needed to go "down the street" and find another body shop. I mean do they ONLY do insurance work? What if I wanted to pay cash for this? I let her know I was going to give her this review for incredibly rude customer service. I am a licensed self employed electrician and deal with folks all the time and I have never been this rude to someone. She acted as if I was trying to somehow scam them in some way of which I have no clue what that would be? I give many a free estimate and get some of those jobs and many I don't and I never let that be bad blood. They may be great folks however so far they were rude and condescending to me when they could have been gracious. read more

I just picked up my car from Central Collision & WOW! What an amazing job! My bumper looks brand new & the customer service is truly excellent. I took my car here last year for an out-of-pocket aesthetic repair & they did a fantastic job so when I was recently involved in a fender bender, I knew exactly where I wanted to take my car. The accident wasn't my fault so I insisted the other driver's insurance use CC for my repairs. Carol took care of the insurance inspection, all the insurance details & payment, offered me a loaner car, & fit the repair time into my hectic schedule. I didn't have to do anything but drop off & pick up my car. I will continue to take my car to CC & you should too :) read more

This was one of the WORST experiences I've had with a repair. The folks were quite nice but the car repair was awful. A truck backed into my car and the entire front right bumper and headlight were damaged and needed to be replaced. When I went to retrieve the car after the repair it was clear that the headlight (still very visibly damaged) was not replaced despite their being a charge for a NEW headlight on the bill. The staff was nice enough about it and fixed it within 24 hours. However, I had to wait an extra 24 hours to have my car back and when I got my car the next day the inside stunk of cigarette smoke and the interior material of my car on the drivers side was full of dirt that I had to spend an hour or so cleaning off the seat and interior door panels. Part of my fabric were permanently damaged and have not looked the same since. Additionally, the repair was done incorrectly and the car (panels) were still coming apart in the front by the headlight. I brought the car back again and they "claimed" to have fixed it again - a week later the pieces they claimed to have correctly put back together once again came apart. I finally got fed up and brought the car to another body shop I know is good - they checked and found that this place had never actually replaced the broken clips meant to hold the panels together) which had been broken in the car accident. instead they were trying to clip the two pieces of the panels back together with the BROKEN clips (repeatedly). I cannot even begin to tell you how truly disgusted I am with the service I received at this place. It's been months since the repair and I try not to leave bad feedback for places as I know things happen, but I am still so upset about this experience that I felt it critical to warn others who might be considering using this auto repair shop - there are clearly serious issues with quality of service and there seem to be attempts to charge for things and parts they don't actually replace (I don't know if this is accidental or intentional, but upsetting none-the-less). I would highly recommend avoiding this place (Update: July 19 - to comment on the below comment by shop, yes, they did try to contact me. They charged a ridiculous amount ($300) for my car being in the lot for less than 2 days and claimed it was in a statement that I signed prior to dropping off my vehicle. Five stars is not nearly enough! First of all, the Bodywork is flawless, now looks like the accident never happened. Second, they handled all the insurance communication and nuisance paperwork, giving me the gift of time. Third, they waived my deductible. Fourth, they had a loaner car for me so I could keep going to work and places I wanted to go. Fifth, on all 3 of the times I went to their shop (estimate, dropping off, and picking up the car) they did not waste my time. I don't think I was there more than 15 minutes for any transaction, even when they were really busy. And Sixth, Carol and all the other workers were friendly, helpful and courteous in all their personal and phone communications. So, yeah, six stars plus! ******* :) read more

Central Collision is a horrible place to take your car for repair, especially the lady manager is the worst person I have ever seen at any business. I dropped my car for repair after an accident. They didn't complete the repair and they added extra stuff to make big bill without discussing the matter. When I came to pick up my car after one month for a silly dent and scratch, only the dent was gone but all the scratches were visible, no car wash and vacuum as promised after repair. Manger won't come to walk thru or explain the repair, won't talk nice but keep shouting, her behavior is so bad that I would advise to refrain from this collision center to avoid all the headache and stress, after an accident. read more

Carol went above and beyond to make sure I had a good experience. She communicated with me throughout the process. AVOID CENTRAL COLLISION (2934 N. High St., Columbus, OH) AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED!! Dealing with Central Collision transformed me from "body shop customer" to "crime victim." Don't let it happen to you!! A cautionary tale: In October 2016, the insurance company of someone who'd scraped my car guided me to Central Collision, which was not my first choice. They did an adequate job fixing the quite minor damage, though took about twice as long as originally promised. On day 11, when I did finally get it back, the car was filthy inside (from their muddy driveway) and outside (with shop grime and even the estimator's grease pen circles and writing still visible!?). Obviously a slapdash Friday afternoon rush job. Far more disturbingly, though, the car had been thoroughly ransacked with every compartment disheveled and tossed! All sorts of stuff was missing--from some expensive prescription driving glasses (which, yes, I should not have left in the car) and quality sunglasses, to an auto vacuum, a sleeping bag, some tools, an electric razor(!?), and a compete visor organizer with notes, receipts and business cards. They even stole a Guadalupe medallion that was tied to the rearview mirror!! Most of what they took, like the glasses, is of no use to someone else but was a major loss for me. Nonetheless, the stolen items exceeded $500, which I learned as I pursued a police report, is, in Ohio, the lower limit for a 5th degree felony. CENTRAL COLLISION COVER-UP WORSE THAN THE CRIME: Central Collision accepted absolutely no responsibly for the situation--and, in fact, they proceeded in ways that transformed this from the one-time theft by a rouge employee (whom they would track down and hold accountable) into a shop-wide cover-up, which is far worse. First they accused me of lying about what was in the car--a vintage instance of "adding insult to injury"!! Then they blamed Clintonville's ample homeless population(!?) who supposedly specialize in rifling through parked cars, including those in Central Collision's alley-adjacent lot (which would, in any case, make it the shop's fault!). Eventually they produced some photos--that I discovered had actually been taken four days after I'd dropped the car off (i.e., after the stuff was stolen!)--which made them seem like a preplanned prop in a deliberate cover-up, a stonewalling tactic the office manager had used before. Sleazy and outright dishonest... Instead of accepting responsibility for--or even acknowledging--the ransacking of my car while it was in their possession, they took a deny-deny-deny stance that precluded not only financial compensation, but also an honest apology. Rather than a valued customer, I was treated like an easy mark and then, when I complained, like a false accuser and adversary... In other words, instead of acknowledging that things were stolen from my car during the eleven days that was in their possession, and then, per their posted policy, declining financial responsibility for those things (which would be disappointing but honest), the office manager insisted that the theft never happened (which was dishonest and infuriating). She seems to think that by this version of denial and stonewalling, which requires insulting me, Central Collision will look better--which is, of course, exactly wrong. Yes, the cover-up is far worse--more violating and more infuriating--than admitting the crime!! Moreover, their deny-deny-deny policy makes it highly likely that other customers--maybe you!--will be treated in the same egregious way. Terrible and short-sighted business practices... In sum, I've never written any on-line review of anything before; but I had such an awful experience with this body shop that I felt I had to respond. With many other capable shops close by, POSITIVELY DO NOT TRUST YOUR CAR TO CENTRAL COLLISION!!! BECAUSE THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED!!! read more

I have not used this repair company nor would I. I was apart of a car accident and this is one of the companies that called me directly after. While I appreciated them waiting until well after noon to call me unlike some of the other more rude companies, they did something that threw me off and kind of made me feel harassed even more than I did that day. They called me, and left a voicemail. THEN, they TEXTED me. Since when have all these repair companies gone from sending mail, to calling then texting!? I do not want these calls and I most certainly do not want texts. The business practices alone make me question this company, and I found it slightly violating. read more

At first I was VERY pleased with Central Collision. They were very easy to work with and stayed in constant communication with me via phone and text! They worked with my insurance company to alleviate any hassle for me and the rental car process went smoothly. They set up the Lyft for me that came to the shop and picked me up and took me to the rental. Then over three weeks passed and I had to call for updates on my car. I know they are busy and ordering parts and painting takes time, but an update would be nice without me having to call and leave messages. Finally my car was ready (after I called again that day and got a response). I went to pick it up and it was sitting with windows cracked down looking very dirty. That's fine, I know it was worked on and they said they would clean it up and it would be ready. My fiancé and I were fine with that and went across the street for a bit while waiting. We came back and one of the workers took us to my car. Immediately my fiancé saw one of the scratches on the damaged side and asked about it, the worker said he wasn't sure and maybe insurance wouldn't have paid for that scratch AFTER my fiancé suggested that was the reason. Again, this happens, but a heads up call would have been nice letting me know ahead of time there was a part that would not be fixed, especially since they give me an update during one of the times I called explaining they had to have my insurance come out and see if they would permit another damage they found to be fixed. I also noticed a scratch still on the front and side handles. Maybe they weren't able to be replaced, but again a detail of that would have been the way to go. Now to the part I'm actually most annoyed with, the cleanliness. Honestly I would MUCH rather had them not even "attempt" to "clean" my car than what they did. It was a very poor and thrown together attempt. The inside dash and radio section and steering wheel have a sticky film all over as if someone just sprayed a cleaner and it sat there. My items in the console have a white grainy film on them. The windows are so streaky I had to pull over once and use the windshield wipers. I know cleaning the car isn't necessarily the most important part, but this rubbed me the wrong way and I feel it isn't great customer service. If my car wasn't 100% ready I would have rather waited one more day and gotten it back how I expected than a lame attempt at what they cleaned. The worker who said he painted the car was just filling in that day for painting and normally doesn't, it was obvious to me judging by the handles and side. The major dents and scratches were fixed, I'm not trying to deny that, but the other little nuances just didn't sit well with me and because of this I would not recommend. I first would like to start off by my first initial visit was good, but as the process went through it got bad, The loaner car they gave us windshield wipers did not work and when we call they told us to just purchase them, also car wouldn't start two days after work and i had to call AAA to come jump the car. Then when the whole process was over as we are driving our newly fixed car home we hear a very loud noise and something underneath the car was not on correctly, so we had to turn around and go back....The lady that answers the phone CAROL i thinks she is the most unprofessional person i have ever met!!!!! I am extremely nice to others and she did not have to same skill. After everything was fixed with the car MY INSURANCE company sent me the check for the rental......I cashed it and sent them their money, long story short they "said they never revived it " So when I tried to reach out to CAROL she was extremely rude and unprofessional said she was sending it to a lawyer (which was not needed) I was so taken back that this company allows their employee to act in such a manner to customers... My experience began with a telephone call from Tyonna at Central Collision. She was aware that my 2010 MazdaSpeed3 had been damaged in a hit and run incident in a local parking lot. She explained a bit about Central Collision and asked if I would consider them as I shopped around for a body shop for my repairs. From a marketing perspective, I was very impressed by the fact that Central Collision proactively sought me out for my business. That was their first step in making me feel like I would be a valued customer. Tyonna's unsolicited telephone call actually helped get Mazda's repair underway the very next day after it was damaged. Tyonna was so customer oriented I couldn't pass up the invitation to check them out online. After doing my homework, I took my car into Central Collision on High Street where I was greeted by a very efficient team of office personnel - Carol and Tyonna. Tyonna and Carol made a wonderful first impression on me. Customer service from, start to finish, is a big pet peeve of mine. In fact, that's why I am writing this review. They were genuinely friendly and their actions emanated their trustworthy characters. In fact, Carol seemed so invested in me that I asked her if this was her family's business. It wasn't but that didn't matter to me. When employees are such advocates and positive ambassadors for their employer's business, their attitudes have a huge impact on the customer's decision-making process. I immediately entrusted my car to the professionals at Central Collision. Carol worked with my insurance company to complete all the required paperwork. She also pre-arranged for a representative from Enterprise to pick me up at Central Collision and drive me back to the Enterprise office to secure my rental car. Alex, at Enterprise, helped me and he did a really good job with hooking me up with a rental. The whole rental car process facilitated by Central Collision with Enterprise couldn't have been more seamless. And now for the most important part of this review - the repairs to my MazdaSpeed3 were done to perfection. One would never know where the damages were prior to repair and they accomplished a perfect paint match for my car's black metallic paint. When my Mazda was turned back over to me it was just as shiny as when it was new. I want to thank Carol, Tyonna, and Ty (the proprietor) for doing such a great job. I'll surely return again if I ever need any bodywork or paint touch ups. Oh, and the insurance deductible was waived by Central Collision as well.
