This place just came up as recommended wen I was searching for a repair facility. Fortunately for…read moreme, unfortunately for my kid, I knew all about these wanna-be mechanics from a few years back. Long story short - their head mechanic didn't know how to check oil properly on her Nissan crossover? (name escapes me) Three times in the shop and they tell her the oil is over full. I go in, act dumb and ask if they could show me how to check the oil since I got blamed for it anyway "your dad is over filling it" Stooge pulls dip stick and proclaims "see overfill again by twice" Me - "flip that dip stick over" Dude had no words because the other side had NOTHING on it because they drained 5 quarts the day before because "it was overfilled" I promptly asked the gentleman "if you toss a stick in a bucket of oil, is it possible to only get oil on one side of said stick?" Note: these cars/engines have an oil drain back hole directly above the dip stick which covers it with oil several inches up the stick, on one side. Even a moron knows to wipe the stick and reinstall to check and look at both sides. A not-so-certified village idiot should know these cars are best checked after they have sat awhile, regardless this poor village idiot was happy to run out 5 minutes after we arrived and check it without ever having a towel in mind. Way to go imbecile. Needless to say, it never left the place and the motor was hammering because they told her to run it and I want putting oil in it again for them to blame me for overfilling. A few days later we stopped in and find in an attempt to get the warranty co to pay for a motor, they blew it up. The one lucky actually told us what they were doing. Obviously totally oblivious to the fact he was saying they were trying to commit insurance fraud. Good luck if you go here or if, like my kid, AutoMax sends you here because their shop is backed up. These geniuses will fix your vehicle right up like Dewey, Cheatum & Howe, attorneys at law would fix you up on legal issues. Well, that statement isn't fair. The 3 stooges deserve more credit than that when it comes to being lawyers.

When customer reached out they told them to bring car to them and it would cost an additional $2000 to fix the leak. Now, in 3 months you never noticed a major leak! This shop is trying to take as much money from people as possible! You did not fix the car you caused more problems and tried to charge for it! You should be ashamed of yourself! I would NEVER recommend your shop to anyone! What I will do is warn everyone of your shop! Today I took my car to another and guess what it not going to take $2000 to fix it!

Heffner Automotive came through & the entire bill was less than the car rental. Being on the road & working in the pipeline industry we've come to expect the worst case scenario from auto repair to fast food. Unfortunately it comes with the territory. With my nonexistent mechanical…read morebackground (thank you, Google and YouTube), I diagnosed the issue as bad wheel sensors, which would have cost me around $500 to replace. Before I could even start, the clutch went out. Using my "expert investigative skills," I assumed it was the master or slave cylinder. After a sleepless night trying to figure it out, I decided it was time to leave the repairs to an expert. My son's wrestling coach recommended Wiltech, which is only about 15 minutes from my house. I called a few other shops first, but they all said they couldn't even look at the Jeep for 4-5 days. Wiltech, however, told me to tow it in the same day. I wasn't expecting them to get to it immediately, but later that Monday they called to let me know that both of my diagnoses were wrong (heartbreaking, LOL). They also told me they could have it done by midweek, or at the latest by the end of the week. By Friday, everything was completed and ready to go. The customer service was excellent, the price was more than fair, they kept me informed, and they finished the repairs exactly when they said they would. Moving forward, I'll be taking all of my vehicles to Wiltech Automotive. Thank you for the outstanding service!

The last time I had a brake job done there was an issue with the dust shield scraping. Brought it back in and they remedied the situation. My only complaint is that they took off my out of state front vanity plate to pass inspection. That was not necessary, as I asked a State police man if that was an issue and he said no, because Pa does not have front license plate. So, I just put it back on. They had some staffing issues due to COVID-19, which screwed things up a bit because I had to take off of work twice for an inspection. That ticked me off a bit. The shop owner said he tried calling me, but I had no missed calls, so....? Oh well, they're right around the corner and convenient. Hubby was going to order the taillight from a dealer to the tune of $60. Me, being the tightwad that I am insisted we search junkyards first. Our other son suggested Tri-Town and I'm thankful that he did! While Tri-Town does not pull the parts for you (you do it yourself - bring your own tools) they "probably" would for a fee however I didn't confirm this. Thankfully the "grounds" are pretty organized. Honda's in one row, Chevy's in another, and so forth. We had no problem finding the 1996 part we needed to the tune of only $15!!! While there we also grabbed the mirror he needed as well. Both parts came in at only $35, much less than the dealer price for just the one! As a female it is hard to get excited about a junkyard but I've been to many in my day and this one is like no other. Most of the cars here weren't wrecked (had blown engines, etc) and were late models. The grounds weren't overgrown and the cars were arranged in a way that not only was it easy to find what you needed, but also easy to navigate around the vehicles. I didn't see any "critters" or webs but it could be because it's still cold. There was a port a potty in the "yard". They also had wagons you could borrow to carry your loot. Since it snowed last week the grounds were muddy and I was glad I removed my heels beforehand. Regardless of the weather I would strongly encourage proper footwear when visiting. The young owners just took over the property in June 2017 and were still making improvements. They also buy cars. I'm not sure what their payout would be but it's nice to known if you have a hoopty with a blown engine or transmission laying around. Definitely worth a visit for interior parts, moldings, seats, lights, bumpers, and the like.
