Every single item I had, all of my belongings, boxes, and so on... every one of my personal effects (some boxes were opened since I had needed some items) was *covered* in a layer of soot. When I reached out to the front desk, an exec wrote back that there was nothing they can do. No cleaning; they won't move my stuff; and no partial refund.

This storage site used to be Central Self Storage. They would occasionally raise my rates by 10-20…read moredollars every 7 months or so. Enter Public Storage. Just a few months after they took ownership they have raised my monthly rate by $200. I kid you not. I am in the process of moving out and it is unfortunate that they did this right as the temperature outside is going up making it a miserable experience. They will give you a nice low rate to start, but don't fall for it. It just seems like this rate hike is all about greed. I feel bad for the front desk workers because they are really nice and this makes their job much more difficult. Do better Public Storage.

I emptied out my unit when I moved out, and yet I'm still getting hammered with a $75 "abandoned…read moregoods fee". And there's no way to get in touch with anyone in the office. This is unacceptable. Why should I pay when I didn't leave items behind?? This is on top of the egregious price hikes (which were the reason of me moving out to begin with). Finally, there are rodent droppings around the facility if you look for them. Not great. They did in fact get into my unit, which wasn't the most pleasant surprise, especially given that I'd even placed down rodent repellent, which wasn't enough to deter them. I wasn't keeping anything besides furniture anyway, no food. Not to mention the black widow waiting for me in the drawer that I had keeping there, as a last little surprise on my hand as I unpacked. Be careful unpacking your items; examine them thoroghly before bringing them into your home. So to conclude: - There's an incorrect fee (and no way to contact them to resolve this) - Beware of price hikes - Their pest control needs work!

Customer service, friendliness and helpfulness. I can't say anything bad about them; nor can I say anything positive. They are adequate. Karcher is exceptional.

It seems fine at the beginning, but read your contract and plan. The unit goes up in price very…read morefrequently. You can start out at a price seems reasonable say $130 before 2 years almost $300. Also plan your move out at the end of the month, no prorating.... Oh except for move in.

I'm not one to write reviews, but for this place, I'm making an exception. The location itself is…read moreclean and has a nice layout. The office manager, Dennis, is kind and helpful. On move-in he took me to my unit and even cleaned out some of the accumulated leaves and dirt. The problem isn't with the location or the people working there, but the corporation running the location. Dennis was very upfront in telling me that that corporate will increase the rent within a few months for no other reason than why not. Additionally, the agreement doesn't protect you from these rate increases so you're stuck with it unless you move out. We were also told that in order to have 24/7 access, it would be an additional $20/month and if, for whatever excuse corporate came up with, they decide you're doing things they don't approve of, they'll revoke the access without notice. And the insurance they provide for your unit is EXPENSIVE! Overall, I was not impressed and ended our lease with them very quickly.
