I picked up my suburban yesterday from factory collision which had rear end damage and I have to say I am over the moon with the outstanding body work that the guys in the shop have done ! On December 12, 2020 my brand new Jaguar F-Pace SVR was unfortunately involved in a multi-car accident in Boston. I immediately had it towed to Factory since they have done phenomenal work on previous cars and projects of mine. They went absolutely above and beyond in many aspects this time. To start, my insurance company (MAPFRE Commerce) was giving me and FCR a VERY hard time from the very beginning of the claim process. They even tried to total loss the vehicle when there was nowhere near enough damage. They were trying to pull a fast one on me, the consumer who pays an enormous amount each year for insurance. FCR did not let this slide and immediately had my back. They kept in touch with MAPFRE daily via email and phone, and forced them to come back with a supervisor. Ultimately, FCR had my best interest at heart more than my own insurance company. They reversed their flawed decision and proceeded with the repair. FCR was able to find the exact parts needed for my SVR from the UK, coordinated the repairs and sent the car to the Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Boston for electronic resets. All-in-all, my car looks even BETTER than new. What accident? The team over at Factory Collision & Restoration in Weymouth are hands down the BEST body and paint shop in the area. Factory Collision Restoration is the answer to your prayers. 5 stars in not enough to thanks them for the amazing accountable and reliable people they are. After a long exhausting and miserable year, we ended our battle against the biggest insurance company (Commerce/Mapfre). A minor accident that turned into a nightmare took us an entire year to be resolved. But, Thanks to Jeff and Nick we won the case. 12/18/20 we had a minor accident, took our truck to a Ford Facility to have it repair. Our insurance denied our claim alleging that we had to follow the protocol and have our truck repair on their list of preferred shops only. Unaware of state laws, we were forced into the insurance rules. That was when things got very ugly. The body shop on their list promised to have the job done with perfection. That was just a promise, the body shop not only did not honor that, but caused double of the damage. The initial appraised cost of 4,800 dollars because of the insurance misguidance ended up costed them almost 19,000, plus lawyer's fees. Their preferred shop was unqualified for the job. They not just lack on improper equipment and tools but also, not enough knowledge on mechanical and technology that are on vehicles now a days. The shop had the insurance inspector trying to release our truck with deplorable conditions several times. The Truck was sent to a couple of other facilities for calibration, for analyses and so on. Nothing ever passed. Looking for an independent appraisal to inspect the unacceptable job the body shop had done, with that insurance approval, we ended up finding Factory Collision. They were a god sed to us. Not only they review the case but also educated us about the unlawful way the insurance had been arbitrary to us. The insurance tried to tarnish their credentials with no lucky. They are the most honorable and respectable people. They are willing to help you regardless of if they have your business or not. I brought my car here on a recommendation....they are very nice friendly family owned place. Everything started off good...I was confident this place would do an exceptional job..... The look of the paint they did is great but the door makes alot of noise upon closing now....also under my floor mat is a huge smear of black paint that no one had the decency to tell me about....and to boot they had my car for one month.....I had to pay three days rental out of pocket because the shop didn't have an order invoice too prove the date the correct part was ordered....so insurance wouldn't cover it!! read more

Just had my 2003 Subaru Baja repaired here. Front end damage from a fender bender. Its a family run business and they do not fool around. They don't use fake parts from China and they don't fix a car any other way than the manufacturer's standards. They also don't give in to insurance companies when they push for cheap repair. They are the best I've ever worked with. I don't understand, when insurance is paying for a repair, why would you want anyone but the best professionals you can find do the job. Had this company do some work to a car I had that was hit from 2 different collisions. After 3 weeks I called and asked what the delays were, and the woman told me the car was "going in for paint today". I called 4 days later and got the same line. Again a few days later I got the same line. Finally went down the next week and told them just to give me my car back unfinished as the insurance company who was paying for the rental kept breathing down my neck asking why my car wasn't back yet. Insurance scammers! Don't not go here!! I had dropped off my vehicle for repairs and was then notified exactly 14 days later that I was required to come into the shop and sign off on the check my insurance company had issued. I was told repairs would be started as soon as my appraiser stopped in to estimate the vehicle. The appraiser came in to do this approximately 2 days after I had originally dropped off my vehicle. No repairs were done to the car as I was told while on a call with the shops estimator as she was requesting for me to come in to sign off on the check before anything could be done. I then questioned why my vehicle had still not been worked on when it has been 2 weeks since I dropped off the car for services and I was told that it would be started on right away. I was never notified, never given any updates as I had requested when I originally dropped off my vehicle. I then requested for a copy of the estimate of the repairs that were to be completed, and this is when I began to receive unfair treatment from office staff. After thoroughly reviewing the work estimate and the items that were listed for potential repairs I requested to have my vehicle released from the shop. It was fairly obvious that they were not very pleased with my decision and refused to release my vehicle under any circumstances. The estimator then stated that they "took the car apart" when she just said a second before that they had not worked on the car yet. When I arrived to the shop no repairs were done as I had expected. I notified the shop of my decision and stated that I would be back in the following day to pick up my vehicle. The estimator for the shop and the owner then worked up some type of bill that charged me for "office administration fees" which included; customer contact (phone calls to discuss the matters), insurance contact and the handling of paperwork, preparing and negotiating supplements, they even charged me a gate fee which I'm guessing was to drive my car in and out of their lot, as well as $75 in storage fees for each day that my car was there, not receiving any services (mind you this was a total of 17 days.) I was unaware of any storage fees to begin with, the only thing stated on paperwork after going through my signed document of " Repair Authorization" was that there would be storage fees beginning each day after 48 hrs. of notice to customer of vehicles completion. The statement of storage fees was never brought to my attention when I originally dropped of my vehicle. If I was aware of these storage fees for the days my car just sat on the lot with no repairs I would not be here stating my case. The work estimates were very dishonest and the customer service was sickening. I refused to have my vehicle repaired by a shop that was extremely disrespectful towards me and inputting work orders that were not necessarily needed. For example: the work estimate quoted mismatched tire brands, change of ABS sensors when no ABS sensor light was on when the car was originally brought in, scanning for codes when there were no codes, they listed missing parts such as TPMS sensors and skinning one side of the car to the rear quarter panel for minor rocker damage in the front. They also claimed the ABS light came on because the "sensor fell out of the hub." After all the emotional distress that this organization has caused me and the unsatisfactory customer service I had received when I went to pick up my vehicle I would never want anyone to go through what I have been through by bringing my services here to a local shop under the circumstances of convenience because this entire situation has been nowhere near convenient. I paid over $2130.00 in fees in order for them to release my vehicle and this was all out of my very own pocket. They were quoting me over $10,000.00 - $13,000.00 in damages "almost at the threshold for a total loss", says the owener and all from two stolen wheels! Unbelievable. I would never recommend this service to anyone because of this company I am still without a vehicle and I lost my piece of mind. read more

My experience with FCR was horrendous. The service was unprofessional from the front desk (was hung up on) and untruthful when it came to repair order estimates. The vehicle had two stolen rims and was left on a milk crate with slight damage to lower rocker. I was estimated close to 9,000$ in repairs, possibly even a total loss. HOW!? The car is a 2013 accord with only 38k miles! This vehicle only needed 2 rims and tires and a lower rocker panel. Instead Frame damage was added to the estimate because of a crushed plastic milk crate? NO WAY. They insisted the car sat too long on the ground with 2 missing wheels..but It never touched the ground! I decided not to get the work done there because we felt we were taken advantage of. Mind you, this whole claim is covered by insurance. We then called and told them we wanted to take the car out for 2nd opinion. The receptionist then had told us the car is all ripped apart and work was already started. To our suprise when we got there the car was not taken apart. Things explained such as an ABS sensor falling out the hub, the structure of the car being damage from sitting on a milk crate too long, mismatched tires, this made me question their integrity. We have now lost all trust with this shop and decided to pull the car from the shop. It costed us 1600$ out of our own pockets. (Outrageous office fees; $250+, outrageous supplement fees; 70$+, time the car was there, work that was supposedly done, moving the vehicle around the shop, checking ABS codes when abs light was not present, the redicoulous fees and list goes on). Coincidentally the day we went to get the car there was another party having issues with them while we were there. I will NEVER do any business with FCR again. The car is fixed today with matching tires, a new lower rocker and 2 new wheels. I DID NOT need a new rear quarter panel or frame repair when it is not damage! The body shop that actually got the work confirmed it. These guys wouldve made a ton of money scamming the insurance company with my car! Not happening! They say its your choice your car...they sure did not want to give us a choice to get a 2nd opinion. -Mistmatched tires on estimate for tires 3x more than oem tires -abs fault codes, abs sensor, abs bracket. The car had no codes when brought there. no abs problems. -I was told abs sensor fell out of hub (impossible) -tpms sensor not on estimate -wheels lugs not on estimate -over 1000$ on paint and material -estimated 8 full working days to finish repair. thats 64hr..really? -replacement of rear quarter when its not damaged -Frame damage? the rocker wasnt even pushed back far enough to touch the structure of the vehicle. -Told me my car was taken apart. Get there and it wasn't. -1600$ to take the car out. for not doing anything to it. absolutely disgusted with the professionalism of this shop. read more

Our lease on our Subaru was up and we had a good sized dent, along with a little rust, that the dealership would have charged us $$$$ to repair. So we called to see if there was any way they could get us in days before we had to return the car. They got us in and when we picked up the car it looked perfect!!! Major relief. I was apprehensive at first however,when i went to their shop was surprised to find a Family-owned business that was impeccable with a growing business. they had just complected an addition a new paint facility with the sate of art equipment. when i went to pick up my car i was pleasantly surprised my front end was like new. The car was washed and the interior was not dusty. It was a pleasure to have my car repaired by a small family business such as their. I took my car in after it was parked on a street and swiped by a passing car while I was at work. The staff I talked to were very friendly, and I decided to take my car there after reading the great reviews here on Yelp. My insurance company cannot make recommendations under Massachusetts law of which body shops that they want to work with, so you as the customer are responsible for finding one. What I didn't realize at the time is that none of the reviews on Yelp were from customers using their car insurance--they were all paying out of pocket. Little did I know the problems that would ensue from that error in my judgment! I brought my car in and it took them FIVE WEEKS to fix my car, a job that should have taken two weeks max. They consistently delayed everything until the last minute--every step they needed to take is required to be done within seven days by state law, and they always waited until the seventh day to complete it. But the worst is that they refused to negotiate with my insurance company on anything, and wanted to charge me over $600, on top of my deductible, because the insurance company thought that they were being unreasonable for some items. (The insurance company also wanted ME to pay the ~$600, so they are not totally blameless in this fiasco). Factory Collision essentially held my car hostage until I paid them, but were kind enough to suggest that I should sue my insurance company for the extra money I would have to pay. They did give me the names of other appraisers when I went in to talk to them about this issue, and the manager of all of the appraisers (he reports to the VP of the insurance company) told me that they regularly pull these maneuvers. Because insurance companies can't suggest a company to use, customers in Massachusetts are screwed if there is a disagreement between the insurance company and body shop. The appraisal manager promised to talk to Factory Collision, but told me that it was a long shot and I'd likely have to pay the money. I don't know what the appraisal manager did, but he was able to get them to knock off $500, and the insurance company was still in the process of negotiating for the last $100 when they decided to just let me pay my deductible instead. I had been in the hospital for a c-section the first week the car was in the shop (and since you can't drive for a few weeks, I thought the timing was perfect for having the car repaired by the time I could drive. What a laugh). I had family that could do errands for me, and drive me to the pediatrician's office, etc. otherwise I would have likely paid around $800, even after my insurance rental car refund, for a rental car during this time. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Stay away from this place if you have a repair covered by insurance!!! read more

We were able to get a lot done at our own pace which was important considering how long it took the insurance adjusters to provide supplemental estimates. I was able to read an email quickly and act on it later once I had free time at work. This type of communication is effective when you're dealing with a less than responsible adjuster while balancing other daily activities. Extremely disappointed. It took three weeks for this shop to make minor repairs (about $3500) to my BMW. They were more interested filing supplemental claims, three in all than repairing my car. I am truly impressed by the comprehensive service that Factory Collision and Restoration provided to me. I had trouble managing the insurance company on this particular claim because someone hit me. Working with insurance companies is a full time job, whether it be for the car or for your health. I know well what to do when it comes to medical claims, but I know little about the in's and out's of car insurance. The family at factory collision knows there stuff inside, out and backwards. They did work well with the insurance company as they promise in their television spot. I was so relieved to just leave my car and the insurance up to them. Though there were bumps in the road, all along the way, as their undoubtedly always will be in life, I felt very confident my car was in good hands. I knew they would take care of everything and they did. I tried hard to not be a pest and call everyday. I made sure to spread out my calls, and each time I did call. They informed me of what was going on and how much longer it would be based on where they were in the process.
