If I could give zero stars, I would! I had the absolute worst experience I have ever had of any…read moremedical clinic I visited in my life. Dr. Gallery came highly recommended to me, and I have no doubt that he is likely a great medical provider. However, his office staff was completely unprofessional and the care I received from the Nurse Practitioner in the office was, in my opinion, subpar. I called to make an appointment as a new patient; the first appointment I could get was four months later, which was fine. When I made that appointment, I stated that I was a new patient seeking a physical with Dr. Gallery. My appointment was made. Fash forward four months... I arrive at the doctor's office, which is two hours from my home. I am taken back, vitals checked, and told that the NP would be in shortly. I asked about seeing Dr. Gallery and was told at that point that their SOP was that new patients saw the NP first and only saw the doctor if there were issues. I was not happy--why was I not told this when I made the appointment? I appreciate and completely understand if this is their policy, but it's incredibly terrible customer service to completely neglect to mention that when someone makes an appointment. If I wanted to see an NP, I would have sought out an NP. So then the NP comes in and speaks to me. She was very nice, and after a couple of minutes of chatting, she asks when I'd like to come back to do my physical. Um.... that's what I thought I was there fore. She explained that no, the first visit is to establish care and then you come back for the physical. Again... I understand policies... but why was this not explained to me when I made my appointment? I drove two hours one way to get there. At that point I told her that I was very unhappy with my experience and she said she would see what she could do. She then checked her schedule and was able to squeeze in a physical for me... which lasted about 10 minutes. A physical should be a head to toe exam. This was not a head to toe exam. She spent hardly any time actually examining me, and the rest of the time asking a few questions. She gave me an order for blood work, told me to call the office a few days after I got the labs drawn to find out the results, and I was done. I left the appointment feeling very disappointed and let down. I got the blood drawn the next day. I realized two weeks later I never heard from this office, so I called and was told they didn't have my results. I got in touch with the office that drew the blood, and they gave me a copy of the lab results, which, at the bottom, clearly listed that the results were in fact faxed to Dr. Gallery's office. I called them to let them know I faxed a copy of the results to them. A few hours later, Jeanette called me back, gave me very basic results over the phone, and said if I wanted to discuss anything further I'd have to make an appointment, which of course I understood. But I was overall still feeling unhappy with my experience, so I asked her if they had a formal method for feedback. She told me I could give her my feedback as she was the office manager. I proceeded to tell her my story, only to be interrupted many times, and essentially called a liar. She informed me that they ALWAYS tell first time patients that they will first see the NP, and not the doctor. When I insisted to her that I wasn't told that, she insisted right back that I was because it's their policy to tell people that info. When I again stated I wasn't, she then said that maybe they forgot because they were busy or something. After I was interrupted for the fourth or fifth time, I told her that I was no longer interested in speaking with her and I'd be writing a formal complaint letter to Dr. Gallery. I have honestly never had such a horrible experience with any professional office in my life. I haven't had a steady primary care provider in years, and I was really looking forward to establishing a relationship with Dr. Gallery. I am horrified by the way I was treated by everyone I encountered in the office. I cannot recommend this doctor's office to anyone, based on the experience I had.

I initially went to get well urgent care for something in October and they did not do a great job…read morelong story short and I ended up being admitted to the hospital. Dr. Nanra over saw my care while I was there and said if anything comes up come and see us. I decided to take him up on his offer today when I woke up to some questionable symptoms. They had me in and out within an hour (unheard of for urgent care as busy as them, especially with them also being a primary care clinic.) the clinic is clean, the staff is friendly and they are very on top of it. The doctor listened to my history and what led up to today and took all of that into consideration with his treatment options. I will definitely be returning here for my urgent care needs. I'm happy that I have the option to go here if anything urgent arises and know that they care about their patients. Thank you golden state!!!

However, I recently developed some bothersome symptoms and thought it was important to get checked out coming from a family of diabetics and heart problems. I heard about Kind Clinic via word of mouth. I had the pleasure of seeing PA Edgar. I was thoroughly impressed by how attentive and approachable he was! He never downplayed my symptoms and took the time to get to know my family history and work life to see if it was attributing to my symptoms. I really like that he took the time to explain why he was ordering certain tests and what he was trying to rule in and out and made sure I was comfortable with it. I later got my labs and turns out I had a thyroid problem all this time and feel pretty good about our treatment plan! He also reassured me I did not have diabetes and ways to prevent and monitor in the future. I had a great experience here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking to establish with a new doctor!

From the moment we walked in, we felt the difference. Marian and Michelle at the front desk are so kind and on top of everything. They always make sure my mom gets in for appointments quickly, which has been a huge help. Luis and Edgar are incredibly patient, taking the time to answer every question and explain things in a way that puts my mom at ease. They're thoughtful about how they talk to her--gentle and reassuring, but also completely honest. It's only been a month, but they've already done more for her than her previous provider did in years. The whole team is proactive, caring, and truly lives up to their name. I responded saying that I've had this same information and have already contacted my healthcare company prior to today's visit to learn of the co-pay I would have which is typically $40 for this type of service; a bilateral mammogram. She continued to "educate me" on the "why" and "what" reasons and coverages set by my insurance, not the facility. She was still grossly incorrect in the information. She explained to me that I first have to satisfy my deductible and or maximum out-of-pocket limits Anthem set and that is the "why" the estimated out-of-pocket of $811.45 was accurate and that $800 of that amount is going to satisfy the deductible. I was already under stress, fear, and uncertainty about the dates radiological procedures because my paternal aunt just died of metastasized breast cancer which also engulfed her bones. So now I've got an employee lecturing me at length as to "why this information of $811.45 is absolutely correct as per my health insurance and the mandatory deductible due". I have a soft spot for this Emanuel Cancer Center and have been having my female health needs done here when I could go elsewhere. I have just always felt as safe as I could while here. I'm not going to stop coming here however just because of this unfortunate yet preventable business office fiasco but I would like to see this type of unnecessarily stressful situation become extinct. I think the worst of it is either the employee was disallowed to behave any other way or, incorrect training maybe? They could also reach out to leadership with Anthem BC and inform them of these unacceptable outcomes when inquiring for patient services.
