We had carpet and pets, so we were in need of new flooring. We took the leap and chose S&G Carpet and More to do our hardwood flooring. And we couldn't be happier. Courtney walked us through everything we had a gentleman come out and measure and we chose our flooring. Installers arrived on schedule every day and were so polite and true craftsman at their trade. I was very impressed with all their work just impeccable and immaculate. Our home has been really transformed by Tim and his team. Our home is 2700 sq/ft, so it was a big job wall to wall hardwood. If you are on the fence and not sure about changing your flooring, I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Tim and his team at S&G Carpet and More here in Elk Grove they will definitely take care of you. For example, some baseboard on our landing was left off the quote and we requested to have it installed. Hugo, who came to complete the carpet repair, was fantastic! He reached out to confirm our meet up time, was on time, friendly, personable and professional. He answered all my questions and took his time to make sure the job was completed well. In addition, he made sure my base floor boards were glued back in place and helped with closet doors I had taken off for the repair. He went above and beyond what I expected where I didn't feel like a number. I had two smaller rooms and the master carpets stretched and tacked down. The cost was average of what I was quoted by others and was a great value for the work completed. After Hugo left Spike checked in to follow up. We were impressed with Flavia's knowledge and professionalism when she came to review the project for the estimate. She asked questions to understand our needs and wants. She patiently listened and answers our questions. During the installation, Flavia came out a few times to ensure everything was going well. She also helped find just the right transition pieces to work with the existing flooring outside the baths. The installation was a two day process. It went very smoothly and was handled in a way that caused the least amount of disruption for us. Kevin was referred to us by a contractor to help match our older existing floors. When he came out,…read morehe assured us he could find a match so close we'd hardly notice a difference. He showed us a single sample board that seemed like a decent match at the time. But when we came to see the installed floors, we were absolutely shocked--and heartbroken--by how off the final result was. I literally cried. We had already paid him $10,000, and he insisted the floors were the same species of wood, refusing to acknowledge how bad the match looked. He also said he wouldn't fix it unless we paid double in product costs. Every flooring expert we've shown it to has been stunned he considered this a "match." Even people who know Kevin can't believe this is his work. We feel completely defeated and out $10k. That said, the floors are being ripped out today. We're starting over with someone new who, within an hour, found three options that already look far better than what we were originally given.
