My overall pain in the area has been reduced by therapeutic treatment for scar tissue and mobility in the area in the office sessions and my strength in the affected knee has been significantly improved after the strengthening program I was given at MVMT, both in office and at home prescribed workouts. He used the MAT method (muscle activation technique), which was painful but very effective. I think I saw him for 2 months. I was healed forever. Recently, I hurt my left foot running, which has given me a very painful plantar fasciitis. But before this incident, my feet kept cramping and just being painful. I went to Brant yesterday with a list full of complaints. I didn't think that I would be 90% fixed but I was. Using his Posturology technique/methodology, he fixed the majority of my problems. I was misaligned, thanks to my hip. Fixing my problems with postural squares (I think that they are magnets - you put them at the soles of your feet), keeps me aligned and pain free. I have to also do eye exercises to keep me balanced. I'm going to continue going to him for a couple of Muscle Activation Techniques sessions, just to improve on my muscles and I should be good to go. I contacted this office in a professional capacity to clarify information on a medical certification form completed by Gregory Trahtenberg, Physical Therapist. The form had been completed hastily, and his last name was written so illegibly that I could not accurately determine it. My purpose for calling was simply to obtain clarification and a fax number so that I could assist our mutual patient. When I called the number provided on the form, I was repeatedly interrupted before I could explain the reason for my call. Mr. Trahtenberg asked who I was, where I was calling from, and who I was calling for, interrupting my responses each time. When I stated that I was calling for Gregory and could not make out the last name written on the form, he immediately responded, "If you can't read, maybe you should go back to elementary school," and then hung up on me. What made this interaction even more surprising was that Mr. Trahtenberg appears to speak English as a second language. As someone who likely understands the challenges that can arise in communication, I would have expected a greater degree of patience, professionalism, and courtesy rather than ridicule and insults. This was not a personal call. It was a professional inquiry regarding documentation that he himself had completed. Regardless of the circumstances, there is no justification for speaking to another person in such a demeaning and disrespectful manner. Healthcare providers are entrusted with treating patients with professionalism, compassion, and respect. Based on this interaction, I have serious concerns about the level of professionalism demonstrated by this provider. If this is how legitimate professional inquiries are handled, I would be hesitant to trust this office with my healthcare needs. I would strongly encourage prospective patients to consider this experience when deciding where to seek care.
