The service is always great, the atmosphere is laid back and eclectic yet refined, the seating is spacious with tables and booths. Today (Jan 1, 2025) we came in about 1pm, and didn't have to wait for a seat. For my entree I had the Eggs Christopher which is poached eggs on roasted turkey, bacon and tomato on an English muffin; very good flavors all together. Love the community and environment of downtown Woodstock. Great location! Parking is a bit tough, but once you're parked, everything is within walking distance, and it all centers around the train tracks. This J Christophers has a suspended toy train set that runs over/around the whole cafe, and goes through the walls. Awesome! My favorite part of coming to J Christophers is the ambiance: the clanking of plates, the background noise of people chatting. The food was J Christophers standard, excellent. I had the traditional, and it was exquisite. Perfect way to start the day, with a full traditional breakfast. The service was great. We got there, no wait on a Saturday at noon. Served up with some black beans on the side it's a great brunch choice. There's usually a wait unless you get there early, but they have a paging system, so you can walk around the shops while they get you a table. Service is friendly. Management is always around to check on your experience. Breakfast for two will usually run around $30. My wife had pancakes, eggs, biscuits and bacon. The biscuit was not homemade and you could tell. All in all, it was good but a bit overpriced for a brunch place for almost $36. He barely took the time to look back through Sunday's payment records and played ignorant to my mother's face over the phone about it. Extremely unprofessional. My mother is now struggling to afford lunch for herself at her barely $11 an hour job that she works full time.
