The service is always great, the atmosphere is laid back and eclectic yet refined, the seating is spacious with tables and booths. Today (Jan 1, 2025) we came in about 1pm, and didn't have to wait for a seat. For my entree I had the Eggs Christopher which is poached eggs on roasted turkey, bacon and tomato on an English muffin; very good flavors all together. I had the side of fruit and the blueberry crunchcakes which I always order because they are delicious and a perfect blend of sweet crunchy and blueberry. Love the community and environment of downtown Woodstock. Great location! Parking is a bit tough, but once you're parked, everything is within walking distance, and it all centers around the train tracks. This J Christophers has a suspended toy train set that runs over/around the whole cafe, and goes through the walls. Awesome! My favorite part of coming to J Christophers is the ambiance: the clanking of plates, the background noise of people chatting. The food was J Christophers standard, excellent. I had the traditional, and it was exquisite. Perfect way to start the day, with a full traditional breakfast. The service was great. We got there, no wait on a Saturday at noon. Served up with some black beans on the side it's a great brunch choice. There's usually a wait unless you get there early, but they have a paging system, so you can walk around the shops while they get you a table. Service is friendly. Management is always around to check on your experience. Breakfast for two will usually run around $30. If you don't mind the money, and don't mind the wait, it's a great breakfast/brunch option when spending a day downtown. read more

My wife had pancakes, eggs, biscuits and bacon. The biscuit was not homemade and you could tell. All in all, it was good but a bit overpriced for a brunch place for almost $36. Sunday, 16 May 2021, my mother paid what was supposed to be ~$35 + $4 tip that ended up charging her $400 extra because of an error our waitress made. Normally in situations like these, it would be best to confer with the manager of the establishment and be offered a proper refund. The manager at this establishment, however, was not so generous. He barely took the time to look back through Sunday's payment records and played ignorant to my mother's face over the phone about it. Extremely unprofessional. My mother is now struggling to afford lunch for herself at her barely $11 an hour job that she works full time. To the Manager: If you see this message, let us work out a time where we can properly resolve this issue. This is an overpriced breakfast spot for women. DO NOT GO here if you are truly hungry and a breakfast lover. There is not 1 hearty/large breakfast option for a hungry avg size man. Then to add 2 eggs to any meal it's $5(for 2 eggs), Then the host started seating group in front of me and forgot i was there. I'm 6'3", 350lbs. So I reluctantly ordered the 2 extra eggs that any hungry man wanting to be satisfied would order and the waitress for got the extra eggs.
