We love Queenie's! The food is pretty good, the servers and counter staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is fun and casual. It's great that Reformation Brewery adjoins Queenie's so you can enjoy a craft beer or a cocktail! They do offer hot dogs if you aren't in the mood for BBQ, and the sides are quite good. My cousins welcomed me to their home with the BBQ joint they love. After a few days in a row of BBQ, I switched things up here. So this is hardly going to be a comprehensive review, but what I can note: * Brunswick stew is filled with a very healthy amount of meat and tastes superb. I am very glad I ordered that. * I asked if anything came to dip with the pimento cheese side ($4). The answer was that comes with pork rinds, but what was not included in the answer is that this is a different menu item ($8). * Pimento cheese was OK, nothing to write home about compared to the best I've had. Generous helping of crispy pork rinds, but too salty for me to finish them all. Myself, I would give this 5 stars for the stew, 3.5 stars for the pimento cheese, 2 stars for the upcharge (miscommunication, not lying, but they should know it's a separate item)... and then there's the website. When you look at their menu, there are NO DESCRIPTIONS. What is Southern Poutine? Click on it and you'll see that it's Southern Poutine. The same goes for Frito Pie, Redneck, or anything else you're not sure about. So while I'm heading to my cousins they had to contact Queenie's and get me the answers. 1 star for a terrible website, better not even to have one at that point and just post photos of their menu. Since my cousins love the BBQ there, I will push my rating to 3 stars, but for me to go back there I am telling them three things: * Fix your website menu to actually include descriptions. * Fix your regular menu to list what comes with each order vs. upcharges. * Fix your people answering the phone to not make mistakes on the above. read more

Not the best. Stopped here for lunch while in town for a long weekend for a wedding. Food was priced quite high and the quality just wasn't what I was expecting it to be for that price. The sides were pretty good, but the BBQ wasn't on the level of some lower cost options. The sauce options weren't great either. We almost walked out when we saw the ridiculously long line of people waiting to order. I wish we had. First - the food. I ordered a chili dog and cole slaw. The slaw was sort of OK, but they gave me enough to feed 3 people. It was better than the dog. Hot dogs are meant to be picked up and eaten with your hands, but not this dog; the chili was so carelessly slopped on the dog and bun, the only way to eat it was with a knife and fork. I would have done better to have fed it to the trash can. And why was water the only non-sweetened non-alcoholic beverage available? Next - the ambiance. The best thing I can say is that it was one of the most stressful eating experiences I've ever had. The service model - stand in line to order, go back to get your food meant people were constantly milling about. The noise was horrific. There was no way to eat in peace. I would have understood if this had been at night since we were in a brewery. But, not for lunch. Went to Queenie's over the Memorial Day weekend and was not disappointed. Everything from the brisket to the chicken wings were amazing. Unfortunately, they were out of ribs at the time as they were sold out from the night before and needed time to smoke more. The Good: meats - we had a smattering of everything they had available. Pulled pork, brisket, chicken wings, greens, slaw, potato salad, and banana pudding. I believe that we were extremely lucky to have gone when we did because everything was freshly made, or at least tasted like it. I noticed some rough reviews around the brisket but I can tell you that I have had tons of brisket from around this great country and I would put Queenie's up there with Hard 8 in Texas and Lil Miss in Phoenix. The sides were excellent. We absolutely loved the potato salad and wished we had picked up a full side to take to a party on Memorial day. The dill really sets it apart. The banana pudding was also excellent but did instigate a debate between those who like crunchy 'Nilla waffles and those who prefer them soft inside. Only thing missing was whipped cream on top to which there was no debate. The Bad: While nothing was "bad", the only thing I wasn't overly impressed with was the greens. Again, it could have been that they didn't have time to prep more after being sold out but they were a bit under done and lacking in that cohesive flavor that comes from time in the pot. However, I would order them again based on their promising potential. The Ugly: nothing ugly here my friends. From the great outdoor seating, to the excellent beer selection of their Redemption Brewery home, Queenie's is a true must try when visiting Woodstock. read more

Yum We were meeting friends at The Downtown Playground in Woodstock on a Friday night without reservations anywhere. Reformation is close and we thought we'd grab a beer and watch the kids play. But the kids were hungry so we opted for Queenies over the food truck. I got 2 pulled pork sandwiches with French fries for the kids and me. Hubs got brisket with cole slaw and potato salad. He got the cole slaw as a side and let's just say it was definitely shareable. The portion sizes were great!!!! I highly recommend sharing. Especially when you're also filling up on beer. So this place is recommended highly. Down side: hmmmm if you want to sit outside you gotta get there early or camp out in a Friday night. But that's not entirely their fault. read more

Very expensive and mediocre (at best) BBQ. Mine was stingy and dry. All the sauces left much to be desired.The mac and cheese was mor like a thick soup and had very little flavor. Did I mentioned we had to stand in a line for 20+ minutes for counter service? It wasn't worth the wait and certainly wasn't worth the 30 minute drive to get there. Some of the best bbq I've had in awhile. We ate until we couldn't eat anymore‼ I had the delicious smoked chicken wings, just pure perfection. I am in love with the beet Cole slaw, such a cool combination. The chili cheese fries had a splendid taste with a good dose of spicy. They even offer a good pimento cheese. A place the whole family will love! Awesome location inside the upper level of reformation brewing. We have tried various items here over the years and all of it has been excellent. I usually split a sandwich with someone cause the portions are generous. There is lot of indoor and outdoor seating options. They have a variety of BBQ sauces at a self serve station. This place is delicious. The pulled pork sandwich was good, and the brisket was extremely good. There are a nice variety of sauces. The collards were fresh, though a little boring. The prices are not cheap, but pretty much on par for this kind of place these days. There is a lot of outdoor seating which is nice. Also had a frito pie, I requested to have this first and was told that was not possible. (It was 5:00 and the dining room was empty). Frito pie was delivered with all of the other food and was cold with unmelted cheese on top. Overall way too expensive they try to fill you up on sides but you should avoid this place. Fairly decent BBQ, with the "heirloom pork" being the best of the meat options (although my wife's was very fatty). They don't offer ribs, and the brisket is more like burnt ends and was quite dry. None of the meats had a great smokiness, but the portions were generous. Especially the coleslaw as it was enough for two people. And the side of pickled vegetables (carrots, onions, cucumbers, and jalapenos) is enough for sharing. The fries were good, although two at our table found theirs a bit salty. The grandkids had hot dogs, which were as big and plump as bratwursts and all the buns were on Martin's potato rolls, which are an excellent choice. The chili and the Brunswick stew were both nicely done. The prices are steep and service is minimal: signs everywhere tell you to clean your own table. And you pick up your order at the counter when they call your name. There are no fountain drinks and you have to buy those at the bar next door. Tea, water, and lemonade were our only options for refills. BBQ sauce is served in little condiment cups and we tried the sweet, hot, and Alabama varieties. The Alabama was a good rendition. The sweet and hot have more in common than I expected, with the sweet still having some heat and quite tangy. read more

It's a great place for locals and visitors alike to just hang out in a relaxed environment (but maybe I'm just a hippie millennial). That being said, this place is BOMB. The brisket is the golden standard for all other BBQ joints. Super flavorful and always juicy.
