This company is the most unethical joke of a shell company that I have ever seen in my life. They need to go back to elementary school and learn basic math skills. They think lying and coming up with some fabricated Excel sheet that looks like it was done by a third grader is going to prove their lies. I was double charged by these con artists and even when I provided them proof that they were double charging me they continued to lie about it and subjected me to script readers who bullied me into giving them what they weren't entitled to. So what do they do? Decide that wasn't enough and their con fund wasn't big enough so they the very next day deprived me of service again to demand more. When I reached out to demand they finally admit to their intentional misdeed they continue to lie and lie and lie some more. A word to the wise. Internet has been out for OVER 2 WEEKS, there is nothing other than a run around for giving timeline as to when it will be resolved. Multiple calls have been made, obviously. Beyond frustrating when it is needed for work. If there is any other provider in your area, I highly recommend using them. Even if the cost is more the reliability and speed would be worth the cost! Century Link is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Trying to get anything resolved, you are automatically forwarded to Phillipines. I can't understand anything they are saying. No response -- if you have an email problem, there is no way to contact them. Direct human contact via phone is no longer possible. Instead you're directed to chat, or email them, however in both instances there is only a fractured blue circle that appears now and then, never progressing beyond that. A lengthy search is necessary to find an email address. It's been over a day now since since I requested help, and no response. We've had our landline with Century Link for decades - even before they were Century Link. Never had the landline go out...until yesterday. When we checked the line by plugging it into the test jack in their box on the side of our house there was no dial tone, which meant the issue was not inside. When we called the company we had to go through a list of questions through their automated service before reaching a operator. When we reported the problem they told us a tech could not come out till the next day - even though we have been a customer for so long. We were calling them using our Spectrum internet phone - our only other home phone. We found out that they had changed their name to Lumens (without informing us via email or by formal postal mail) several years ago, though their correspondence still goes by Century Link. Also found out they transferred their customer service to the Phillippines and had closed down all their bick and mortar stores, even though they are still listed on the web as still existing. We had to interrogate the operator before we could get the name of the tech who was coming out to our home. They could not even tell us if their truck would have a Lumens sign or a Century Link sign. They have a script they have to stick to and are completely non transparent with their customers. They hide their company and all official contacts and info behind their Phillippines operation. If you call the various numbers listed they all go to the Phillippines. It's amazing that they are still in business. I have a feeling based on their poor service that they are trying to get out of the landline support business so they can only focus on internet services. Looks like we will have to go to another telecom company for our landline service! read more

century link tech support is the worst non support entity in the universe. over 3 weeks, i have tried to increase my internet speed from 10mb to 20mb. after close to 30 phone calls and over 300 chat texts, all i accomplished and century link tech support was able to not accomplish, was to have my internet disconnected. it was exasperating. so i cancelled my century link for spectrum, which managed to supply complete services to my florida home in 15 minutes. stay away from century link if one wants to keep their sanity and be connected to reality and internet service. read more

Really horrible customer service. I had someone sell me a package CenturyLink internet service with DirectTV cable. I signed up, scheduled install for both (separate days) and NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP. So, I just decided to keep my Brighthouse. Months later, Century Link is adamant that I owe them almost $500 for a service I never received. In two months, it goes to collections. The most horrible customer service in the entire world!!! You call them every month because your bill is not correct. They promise you corrections , but it does not happen until the next billing cycle, and then you have to call again to correct the errors. They are a scam operation, do not do business with them!! Worst Service. They claim Prisim is some great service. It is terrible. Their customer service department although they try they are stuck to corporate rules and really can't do much. What I mean by that is you will have to call every month to get then billing correct. I just like one of the other reviews have had a bill expressed to be $113 a month and now it is up to $220.00 a month and will be going up again to $250 in 6 months. I have now been told as I have transferred to Spectrum that they have locked me into a contract. I never signed anything. I can't believe they lack of customer care. Like every big business you have good and bad. Some people try. They genuinely want to try to help, but the corporate culture is that they just don't have enough authority to really give true customer service. Or if they do it will take you hours and hours and even several attempts to get anything resolved. If ever. I hope that you read this to avoid the same pain and suffering we endured having Century Link. Spectrum has been already night and day better. We will see at billing if the stick to their promises. I just want to know my end result of the bill per month. Stay consistent even if there is a promotional period great. What will my monthly bill be? No surprises. read more

Been a century link customer for years now. Would be excellent internet service if it was dial up 20 years ago. They call (maximum) 4 mbps high speed internet. Waited and tried customer service for years. Now gear up century link, I'm going to bash you every chance I get until you make it right or until I get a real provider to my home. read more

TV, is a service and another company, PRISIM to sign up with or DIRECT TV, which in florida, is a joke .. I want everyone to know how poor centurylink service is. My husband has been without internet for 5 days and he even went to pick up a new modem from clermont to Orlando. He gets it home and has to call for tech support even though is very computer savvy. The first technician drop his call middle of the call and never called back. The second technician, and I use this term very loosely, kept him one line trying to fix something she had no idea about. Finally she stated we would need a home visit and my husband told her he was traveling the next day and needed this computer fixed today like it was promised. Too bad for us because the next technician was not in our area until 1-5 on Tuesday. We are now at a local hot spot to get all my husbands e-mails read and downloaded. DO NOT USE CENTURYLINK!!!!!! They are a waste of time and money. We have given them so many chances so what else is out there besides the over priced spectrum? read more

Do not even call and waste your time!!!! I called last week and spent 2 hours with the first person because they had to add my address. I was then quoted a price for all the services that I wanted to switch from Bright House. An hour later, my monthly changed to $50 more per month. When I called to figure out why, I was sent from one person to another and then a supervisor who could not answer my question. Nobody cared that I was lied to. 2 more hours wasted. I then had to call back to speak with someone else because I wanted to cancel the order. Another hour and a half. She was very nice and able to figure out the discrepancy, but it was the same rate I am already paying. I cancelled the order. Today I showed up at home to see them drilling holes in my house ready to install the cable that I cancelled. Once again, I wasted an hour of my time trying to get it fixed and cancelled again. Each person was ruder then the last. They are awful. I would not recommend them. Stay with Bright House. No contract and at least you can get things answered in a timely fashion. I had called to setup service for my home here in Winter Garden, and the lady on the phone told me that they didn't service my area. So I was baffled because I got an advertisement in the mail that told me about the service and that was why I called. I then went on their website and entered in my address, lo and behold, they serviced my area. I then scheduled them to come in and perform installation in two days. I received an email from them for confirmation with a phone number. I wanted to call and reschedule, so I called the number there, and received a disconnected message on there. Then I tried to reply to the email and got a message saying that no one checks that email address and I'd need to try their live chat. I clicked on that, and it didn't even work. So, I called the number that I had initially called to setup service in the first place. I thought since it was that new service department who sets up the schedule, they should be able to reschedule. Nope, they had to transfer me, and I place me on hold for almost 20 minutes. During that time, I had decided that if I wasn't even a customer yet (even though I was eager to be), and their customer service was like this...then I don't really want to have to deal with them in the future. So when somebody finally came on, I decided to cancel all together instead of rescheduling. read more
