So I was in Dallas and decided to look around for a good spot to satisfy my pizza craving! After some quick research I ended up on Cenzo's , I ordered online pickup and my pizzas were ready when I arrived. I got two of of the "Rosemont" pizzas that are supposed to be their new haven style pizza but this wasn't new haven to me, a little too much flop and lacking char. However, the overall pizza was very good new york style pizza which is my second favorite behind new haven. Overall I would definitely recommend trying Cenzo's pizza if you prefer a quality new york style pizza like I do! read more

We checked this place out for lunch recently and had a great time. We arrived shortly after opening on a Sunday, so we had our pick of tables inside. The outdoor patio looked nice, but it was already pretty warm that day. We tried the Caesar salad, kids cheese pizza, and the Brighton pizza. The Caesar salad was tasty and the portion was huge. The pizzas were excellent. The staff were friendly and gave us great recommendations for our first time. The parking lot is a little tight, but they have street parking as well. If you're in Oak Cliff, you have to hit up Cenzo's Pizza & Deli on W 10th. It's a super cool spot--they actually converted an old Mobil gas station into this vintage, neighborhood pizza joint with a massive, dog-friendly patio. The Food: The menu is way bigger than just pizza. Their NY-style pies are light and crispy (the Winnetka is the move if you like a little spice), but the meatball subs and whipped ricotta are just as good. They also have plenty of vegan and veggie options, which is a nice plus. The Vibe & Staff: The crew there is always friendly and moves fast even when the patio is packed. It feels very local and laid-back. Parking: Unlike a lot of places in this area, they actually have their own free parking lot, which makes it an stress-free stop for a quick lunch or a weekend hangout. Cenzo's has now become one of my favorite places in Dallas. The ambiance inside is casual and family friendly making it the perfect place to get a delicious pizza with friends and family. We started off with their swirl frozen drink (mix of frose and aperol spritz) then got the whipped ricotta with calabrian chili crisps. For $6, I thought the drink was solid despite that not being my normal go to drink. The whipped ricotta was amazing and the chili crisps added the perfect amount of spice. We then split the Hollywood pizza. The portions were enormous and we had leftovers for a while. The crust was excellent and all of the toppings felt fresh. There were many other pies on the menu that I hope to try in the future. I 100% plan to come back here in the near future. read more

Wow you will not be disappointed eating here! Easily top 5 best spots for pizza in dfw! This is a hidden gem! The cheese sticks were some of the best I've ever had! I heard their chicken Parmesan is top notch as well only served on Thursday's! The pizza was great had lots of flavor crust was great and the sauce was on point as well! Cenzo's is such a hidden gem -- right in the heart of the neighborhood and absolutely worth the visit. My husband and I decided to stop in for lunch on a whim, and it ended up being the best decision of the day. I got the lunch special (a slice of pizza and a salad), and he ordered the turkey club -- both were fantastic. You can tell everything's made with care... even the croutons are homemade! We shared a bottle of prosecco and made our own mimosas while relaxing on their patio, soaking up the sunshine. The vibe was chill, the staff couldn't have been friendlier, and it honestly just felt like the perfect neighborhood spot to kick back and enjoy good food and great company. I've lived in oak cliff for 3 years and i can't believe it's taken me this long to come here! To be fair, i don't eat good pizza very often. I usually end up with Costco or dominos bc I'm cheap. I came here for lunch and shared a pizza that had 2 diff types on it with my friend and it was so freaking good. I need to come back for more immediately. Our pizza was half hollywood and half clinton. On paper the clinton sounded better to me but it had more of a mild flavor. They were both delish but the stand out was the hollywood with all those jalapenos, pineapple and hot honey. I need to try more things immediately. The service was friendly and helpful and the ambiance was casual and fun. Def a neighborhood staple. Stop eating crappy pizza and Come here already. It's worth it. read more

Really 3.5 stars but rounded up because it's local. This place is just above average. It's a really cool place and filled with tons of people having a great time. This is a step up from generic Italian restaurant pizza but only by a little. The pizza seems like a cross between neapolitan and a football pie. It was pretty floppy and it looked anemic from the oven. They were pretty busy so you might get a better cook if it's a slow day. It's really not my style of za. I would come back for the sandwiches though. They looked fantastic! My ideal trip here would be with a group of four people. We order one pizza to share but each get a sandwich for the main course. I had the house salad with a lovely dressing and cracked pepper, Parmesan wings, and the cheese and pepper pizza. The pizza was really good, but could have used a bit more white sauce. Cenzo's might be off the beaten path, but it was well worth our time to visit it. We were there for lunch and the lunch special did not disappoint. A pizza crust with flavor, who would have thought! And a salad with a homemade peppercorn ranch dressing that was delicious rounded out the lunch. The feel of the place is very open and roomy despite being on the small side. I could certainly see this as a place to hang out at in the evenings if you are in the area. Our service was great, the food came out quick not only for us but from what I could see, for pretty much everyone else as well. It's a great spot for the community and specifically small families. Good food overall, but the pizza crust is rather floppy and a strong crust is what makes a great pizza. They recently decided to put grass in their area, which has become an iconic spot for children and families to run and play, but it has been closed for several weeks so we have been finding new spots in our area. We think they should've gone with turf instead of grass considering the amount of foot traffic they get in that area, but it's not our business to run. The pizza has great flavor! I tried the Hollywood which had jalapeños, pineapple, hot honey and some sort of pork on it - not a pizza I'd normally get but it tasted great. The only thing that I don't like about this pizza is that it's pretty floppy and has a little bit too much sauce for me. Even with those notes in mind, the pizza tasted great. The Caesar salad was phenomenal - the dressing is delicious and the croutons are perfect. Lastly, the staff was great! Super helpful and accommodating. I'll definitely be back! read more

Cenzos is a newer, upscale version of the neighborhood hangout. Literally, it's in a neighborhood. While the prices are higher than you might think and the food better quality than your local watering hole, it does the core thing right. It holds the soul of what a neighborhood hangout should be. Locals are there daily and those who visit wanna move closer. The food is exceptional. Focusing on pizza and subs, they're honest to god to die for. The staff feel like friends even on your first visit. The decor is clean but quirky, not in a trying to be cute but a genuine kinda way. There's a spirit here matched perfectly by the customers and the restaurant. The food is good, the drinks are slamming, and there's no way not to feel at home. read more

The waitress was helpful in reviewing the menu with my husband and I for our first experience. We opted for half Hollywood and half Marlborough for lunch. Both were delicious! Spring weather helped to create a nice atmosphere but not sure how we would cope with open doors during the Texas heat. Great food, family-friendly vibe--with a couple of small suggestions We had a great experience at Cenzo's! The pizza was excellent, the garlic bread was spot-on, and the Caesar salad was surprisingly good. The patio is a real highlight--spacious, relaxed, and perfect for enjoying a meal outdoors. A couple of notes: Since Cenzo's is very kid-friendly (which is great!), the back door stayed open most of the time we were there as kids ran in and out. This did lead to a few flies hovering around our table, so I'd recommend investing in those table fly fans to help keep bugs at bay. Also, while the indoor space has a cozy charm, it can feel a bit cramped--some tables are close enough that you're practically dining with strangers. I think one of the servers accidentally gave our pizza to another table that was next to us and we overheard them say it, but fortunately we still had garlic bread to eat so no biggie. That said, the food and atmosphere definitely make it worth visiting. We'll be back! read more

Came in for lunch. I've been wanting to come here for a good while. I've been really enjoying Italian beef sandwiches lately and I was talking to a coworker about how I've been wanting to try Cenzo's Pizza in Oak Cliff. I pull up the menu and see an Italian Beef Sandwich. You don't see too many places carrying that here in Dallas. The place is very nicel with a beautiful white facade that looks pristine. The inside is very lovely as well. Plenty of seating both inside and out. You order at the counter. I enjoyed a nice conversation with what I believe could be the owner about Italian Beef Sandwiches. I ordered to go. One Italian Beef and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The place has an inviting feel. When I got into the car I could smell a delicious smoked flavor. The Italian Beef was like non I'd ever had before. The meat was smoked i believe and gave me smoked pastrami or smoked brisket vibes. The giardiniera added that good heat and the melted provolone absorbed a lot of that flavor and helpd blend everything together. They give a nice little side portion of the au jus. The pizza slize was MASSIVE. My first bite was so flavorful I just couldn't help letting out the loudest "mmmmm". I will definitely be coming back. read more

Wow, Cenzo's is really impressive! Their wine on tap is great. It has nice dry, smoky leather notes that go really well with the pizza. And the pizza, my word.. We got a white pizza with lemon ricotta, spicy Calabrian sauce, pistachio nuts and basil. These are professionals. Their dough is incredible, super depth in the flavor and the crust bubbles into this huge croissant-like structure, crispy outside, fluffy inside. Browned like a marshmallow over a campfire. It's hard to explain and really amazing. Before pizza, we started out with the fried artichoke and crispy prosciutto. I wanted to stand up and start slow clapping it was so good. It came with this garlic-butter-parmesan(?) aioli sauce that had the consistency of cake frosting. My wife and I just looked at each other wide-eyed in disbelief that it was so good. The building is really impressive as well. This was our first time here and it was cold and at night but still felt really warm and comfy. It's well lit without the surgery room look. I can't wait until it warms up, it looks like they have a huge patio area. Their location is extremely inviting and just down the road to Bishop Arts. read more

Five stars for the pizza. Four stars for the Caesar Salad. Three stars for the wings. I was hesitant on another hip neighborhood pizza joint in Dallas, but this is a fine addition to Dallas! Its fast casual, with you getting your own silverware and pour your own soft drinks. I like that its not a full blown wait service, as its pretty self explanatory on the menu. The staff here are quite nice, willing to answer any questions or concerns with a cheery attitude. I was with some friends, so I was able to order several items. The Rosemont is their "basic" cheese pizza, but New Haven style. If youve never had New Haven style, then you are in for a treat! A charred, crispy outside, with a dense chew and just enough cheese to not feel like a pool of grease. These pizzas don't have that odd, oblong shape of a New Haven, but its close enough to the essence of one. Even for a plain cheese pizza I was impressed. The Clinton is quite different in flavor profile, but its a home run for me! Lemon Ricotta cheese base, with asian chili crisps and pistachios. This could have been the "Silk Road" pizza to me and would have conveyed the same feeling. I will admit this is much heavier oil wise on the tongue compared to the Rosemont, but its decadence is not something to be discouraged by. Just try not to eat the whole Clinton by yourself! The Caesar salad is solid, although they give you a much smaller portion than I would expect. The house made croutons and large flakes of parmesan are the true joy of this dish. The buffalo wings were just OK. They are nothing special, and they were my least favorite part of the meal. If I were you, Id skip out on them, unless you're really looking for an extra dose of protein. Overall, Im excited to try other pizzas from here. read more

The pizza was awesome! My family and I loved it. We got the traditional pepperoni pizza. We also ordered the meatball sub and it was so good. Perfect amount of sauce and the meatball and bread is delicious. Oh, I also loved that they have the can sugar soda machine. The staff are so nice and helpful.
