The shishito peppers were swimming in sauce, albeit the sauce is tasty, it was WAY too much. The ramen was 5 star, as always. It was disappointingly served in a chipped bowl, which is inexcusable to me. The kitchen should never serve food on or in a damaged dish. Throw it away. The table was sticky (maybe from a prior order of shishito peppers, lol) and I had to request and wait for it to be wiped down. The restroom was in need of attention and cleaning. Service was pleasant but not very attentive. Hostess was slow to seat me because she was chatting with coworkers. While the ramen (only) was outstanding, the rest of the experience was unpleasant. While I will be going again because the ramen is great, I really hope management looks at the change in attention to important matters and addresses accordingly.

I accidentally mixed up the broth and curry so we essentially ended up with curry ramen, but honestly it was delicious so it worked out. I did not realize the ramen broth is a dashi broth, which is clear instead of cloudy, so I mistook the curry for the ramen broth. Clearly my brain was not working that night but it ended up being a happy accident. One thing to note is that they charge extra for spice levels above level 2 and the price increases with each level. We got level 3 for both items and it was genuinely spicy. You will feel it while eating and definitely after as well. Hinodeya Special ($20.70) + Oni-kara Level 3 ($1) + Naruto ($1.50) + Inari Fried Sweet Tofu ($3) = $26.20: We swapped to spinach noodles which worked really well. The naruto came in 4 big thick slices but did not have much flavor to me. The tofu came in 3 small thin strips that were sweet but I did not think they were worth the add on price. Sukiyaki Curry ($22.42) + Oni-kara Level 3 ($1) + Spicy Pork ($4.50) = $27.92: You can tell this is homemade curry because the color and taste were completely different from the store bought curry roux you typically find elsewhere. It was creamy and made from a pork stock soup which is apparently also used in their ramen. The beef was a bit too fatty for me but I absolutely loved the spicy pork. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it's the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great.
