This place was so clean, cleaner then hospital. They were very knowledgeable from the time I walked in, until my piercing. Very professional service. The receptionist was very clean, changed gloves every time she took jewelry out. I will be returning for another. I didn't want to say I was "obsessed" with this place bc that phrase is so overused but what else can I say?! From the second I walked in, Ari (spelling of their name?) was so friendly. And they spent way too much time helping me pick the perfect piercing. And honestly, I've had a few piercings in the last few years and they've all gotten infected or had some issues but not this one. They are perfectly perfect here. So thorough. And clean. Dean was amazing. Dean's eyes are something else entirely (piercing blue), but also the other piercing aka skillllllz. I barely felt my helix being done. First of all, I want to express how proud I am of the team that came together to open their first piercing shop. It's located in a fantastic spot in the city. Now, onto the review--I exclusively go to Kookie for all my piercings. She's incredibly skilled at what she does, and I trust her completely, which is essential when it comes to getting pierced. I cannot overstate how amazing Ceremony was! I help care for my 74-year old immunocompromised mom, so I'm super COVID cautious, but I've been wanting to get my septum done for years. I didn't think it'd be possible to do this safely, but I reached out to Ceremony on a lark, and Kookie was so understanding and accommodating. They emailed back and forth with me about what accommodations they could offer, and then went above and beyond to make me feel safe during the appointment. They wore a K95 mask the whole time they were with me, and were able to do my initial anatomy check outdoors so that I could be unmasked indoors as little as possible. During the actual piercing, a Hepa filter was running and I was in a private procedure room. For the septum piercing itself, I was able to have my mask lowered just below my nose and then mouth breathe the entire time through my mask. And Kookie was so fast that I probably only had my mask lowered like this for 2-3 minutes. I also got my second holes pierced during this appointment, and I was able to be masked the entire time for that. And beyond the COVID precautions they took on my behalf, Kookie is just an incredible piercer! They took extra time to make sure I was happy with the placements, talked me through the entire process to make sure I was comfortable, and were both fast and gentle when it came to the actual piercings (which hurt much less than I was expecting!). And it isn't just Kookie who's amazing at Ceremony; their entire team is absolutely lovely. Monica was at the front desk during my appointment, and they not only also wore a K95 mask the entire time I was in the studio; they also spent about 30 minutes helping me decide on the best jewelry for my style and price point. Finally, the studio itself is simply gorgeous; carved wooden doors leading from reception to the back, plants everywhere, and even painted koi fish on the ceiling of my procedure room. It was an absolutely beautiful, calming environment to get pierced in. Could not recommend Ceremony more highly for anyone -- they are the real deal. But especially if you're looking for a COVID-conscious studio that will do everything in the power to make you feel comfortable, Ceremony is the only choice! read more

Wonderful experience! I got a nostril pierced and my friend got their eyebrow pierced. The piercer was very thorough in explaining things before, during, and after the piercing. He and the other staff members we talked to were very sweet and welcoming. It's also absolutely gorgeous inside! And very clean. Finding available street parking at 3pm on a Friday was very easy. ceremony piercing is great! something i liked about ceremony is that they always have a beautiful selection of studs. i would be prepared to spend over 100 dollars if you're going to get a piercing. their jewelery is not cheap at all. i have gotten a total of six piercings at ceremony, i think it's very professional, just really expensive. read more

loved my experience here!! the staff were wonderful, very graciously worked with me and my friend (we went together for our appointments) when we were running late so we could still get our piercings done. this was my first piercing, and both kookie and the person up front whose name escapes me were very helpful in explaining the process and aftercare. the piercing itself was a little more painful than expected, but that could just be my own sensitivity. absolutely coming back for future work!!! read more

Great experience, parking was super easy. Kookie helped me swap out some jewelry on a new piercing that was done by a different piercer. The space is so calm and welcoming, all of the staff I interacted with were great. I got advice for placement on future piercings and got to pick the replacement jewelry that feels and looks so much better than what I had in. I would not recommend this place for getting a new piercing. I went here on an early Thursday afternoon when no other customers were at the shop. The piercer did a quick consultation of my ear and looking back I wish she had done a more thorough job and had talked with me more about things. The lady at the desk was not friendly and was not helpful with my questions about the jewelry options. After picking my jewelry, I was told to sit down (with no estimated wait time or details) and waited 15-20 minutes even though no other customers were there. When I got my piercing done, the piercer seemed to struggle with the actual piercing process and it was extra painful (I have already had the specific piercing done before). I had to ask her about jewelry options, the healing process and after care. When it was time to pay, the lady at the desk just told me the total and did not explain to me the cost of everything and how we got to the total. In general, it felt like the shop did not value professionalism and was not very thorough, which I think is important when you are making a permanent decision and are spending a lot of money. I value when places educate customers, are informative throughout the process, and transparent with their work. read more
