The inside is welcoming and clean. The front desk person went to find where the artists keep their portfolios located. Which led the owner, Mick, coming out front and finishing up with a client. I had overheard that the shop was booked until May. That made me leave because I would be gone by then. Mick, even while attending to a customer, asked about where I was going and suggested of a shop at the very state I'll be going to. That to me was what led me to write this. The shop is located on a sketchy street but once upstairs inside of the shop it is spacious and clean. I was lucky enough to find street parking around the corner. This is a cash only establishment and their is an ATM outside if you need to withdraw. My friend and I were getting small tattoos on our wrist and the prices were kind of steep - granted we did just walk in and we are in downtown Baltimore, so kind of expected.... When Danny (tattoo artist ) was about to start, a piercing appointment came in so he got that done right away. His technique was good, he was very clean, using new needles and gloves - it took less then ten minutes for two of my mini tattoos. I was charged $80. My friend was charged $60 for her one cross tattoo. Danny was great and had good customer service but I probably would not come back for the prices.

They don't accept card but kindly directed me to an ATM where I got out cash. The nose ring fell out again while i was just using the ATM. I went back after getting the cash and they told me to stop messing with it, which would have been fine if I was, but as a brand new piercing I couldn't bear to touch it. Here's where it gets a little sketchy... I ask how much the piercing it. He says "20..." I hand him the twenty and I watch his eyes go to my bag where he can see I have another twenty. Then he goes "...one. And I don't have change." So I paid FORTY dollars for a "twenty one dollar" piercing (though I'm convinced it was only twenty) and on my way home it fell out again. The whole "twenty.... one" thing left a bad taste in my mouth so I didn't want to go back. Obviously, the hole closed that day. I wrongly paid forty dollars for a piercing I didn't even have for a whole 3 hours. Would not go back.

I looked at a lot of people's work here and there and then just tried to imagine myself with a tattoo. Had myself talked out of one for this reason or another for the past few months. I happened to go to Zita's Instagram page and saw another person's script tattoo and decided that if my daughter could deal with the pain of getting one, so could I. The business is very clean and they take the best precautions....I probably could have fell asleep, but my hubby came to hold my hand....in the end though, I really didn't need that because Zita really put me at ease with this being my first tattoo! (LOL, I said I wouldn't get a second, but I'm really giving thought to her doing the one I wanted to get years back!). She took her time, making sure all of the lines looked good. My mom-in-law and I decided to get tattoos. Cool huh? Both are simple designs but we'd never done…read morethis before. A friend of mine suggested Raven and Rose, and we're really glad that she did. I submitted info via their online contact form and Laura quickly got back to me. We went back and forth a bit via emails on details because, again, our first times. Had a fantastic experience. Laura is great and could not be better. She was really REALLY concerned that we were 100% comfortable before, during, and after. We had lots of questions and she had lots of answers. Each of our tattoos took just 30-40 minutes, so not very large or intricate. She constantly checked in with us during the process. Lots of small talk which she even said ahead of time would help mitigate the very minor uncomfortableness of being poked by a needle thousands of times in the same place. It worked. Laura, and the whole studio, could not have been better. Everyone was incredibly friendly. Highly recommend R&R for any tattooing and related artwork. We're both really happy with what we now have.

I was excited when I first discovered this shop at Savage Mill, as I live in Savage and the distance is probably at most a 5 minute drive from my house. I scheduled an appointment, put down a deposit and a few weeks later headed out to the mill. Everyone at the shop was super friendly, the vibe is really chill and laid back, very different from your usual tattoo shop and Hannah, my artist, was super sweet and put a lot of care into designing my tattoo. She is really amazing at tattooing, and it is obvious how devoted she is to her clients happiness and satisfaction. Shes definitely my new favorite artist, and I will be coming back for more work in the immediate future.
