I went by last week to get my boyfriend's tires checked and filled. They were able to quickly, and didn't charge me! So nice and informative If I may add a personal note, my dad who passed in June was in the car industry for almost 50 years. I am currently in my year of firsts, this being the first time I was near an auto shop with all the familiar smells. Total rip off. The white guy, he proceeds to act like he's willing to help me fix my head light, install one bulb from literally across the street where I bought the headlight. He fixes it then said $20, for TWO mins worth of labor. It was one headlight bulb that needed to be changed and he wouldn't even dispose of the headlight, he wanted me to dispose of it. He was so rude. Rip off. Autozone if they're not busy they install the headlights for free and of course I'd tip them but they were just too busy today. Literally two mins and Cesar Chavez wanted $20... don't waste your time or money. read more

This place was a total rip off! They sold me a car for $2500.00. Within five minutes of leaving the check engine light came on. Me, my partner and my three month old baby went back... He reset it and said it was fine. The car overheated again. He charges me 278$ for a battery, 175 for coolant flush, 480 for a new fan and the light still came on! Now its an 02 sensor, it is too much and they are dishonest. Shame on these people! read more

Truly a hidden gem in San Francisco. This shop is hidden behind the Flyers gas station along with their friendly staff. I am always cautious about coming to car shops hoping to not getting taken advantage of or ripped off. These guys are camouflaged in behind the Flyers gas station. $29.99 Oil Change for most cars, which is great, but if you have a SUV that takes synthetic oil and an extra quart like me, expect to pay another $20. Still reasonable. They check your fluids, your tire pressure. They care about people. Not only are they friendly, but they are efficient too. If they tell you something like a timeframe, they honor it, or exceed your expectations. I've been here on three separate occasions, and satisfied and surprised every time. read more

I really like this shop, and the owner is honest. I bring my mom's car to get serviced here. He is one of the most down to earth guys. He wont rip you off, and will tell you upfront what your car needs. He has kept my mom's car in tip top shape, and doesn't charge an arm and a leg like other shops. I had an issue with my car making grinding noises when steering hard, I figured it was something pretty serious and costly but was pleasantly surprised when the mechanic here found it was simply a low level of power steering fluid and easily and cheaply fixed. Took it back to the same shop to have the air conditioning fixed, turned out to just need new refrigerant. I particularly like the mechanic's style. He was friendly and patient, willing to actually show me the offending part, explaining everything clearly and offering good advice on cheaper alternatives to solving problems and where to find used parts for cosmetic details. He also seems to be good about noticing other details/issues with the car while working on others. I would definitely recommend this service station. read more

I smelled some type of oil burning from my car while getting gas at the Olympian on Cesar Chavez and asked the mechanic who was working if he could take a look. He was working on a car at the time but took a quick minute to take a look at my car and noted that my oil filter was a little loose and tightened it free of charge. Since then I've been back for new tires and a transmission service. I talked with the mechanic and he mentioned that he recently opened it over the summer from a previous owner who ran the shop to the ground. The good thing about this mechanic is he takes the time to show you what needs to be done instead of telling you that you need it done. When I was there the 1st time he noted my front tires balding and suggested that I should think about getting new ones before the winter. When he serviced my tires he did a check on the car and showed me how dirty my transmission oil was and asked when was the last time I had it serviced (which I hadn't since I bought the car from the dealer). A honest mechanic is hard to find so if you want a good mechanic who's not going to rip you off then give this guy a try. read more

My car was burning oil like a Kuwaiti drilling field, and I needed an answer quick! The mechanic was prompt, professional, and jovial...which helped make the whole "car maintenance" headache less painful. The mechanic diagnosed the problem broken axel guard...and fixed it quickly. He found several other problems with the car (timing belt about to go, and more) and was knowledgeable in pinpointing, and then confirming, where other potential problems were as well. I was extremely pleased when I got the final bill and it was incredibly inexpensive, especially when compared with similar procedures at other repair shops. These guys saved the day. I was directed to this small shop behind the Flyer's station by the AAA tow truck driver, who got me out of a jam when I popped a tire on Dolores. I had originally planned to go to a bigger shop that specialized in tires but the driver of the truck recommended his friend, Luis, who manages Cesar Chavez Service Station. As a woman, it did dawn on me that I could be in the process of being manipulated but the tow truck driver was so not pushy about the recommendation and promised that Luis would take care of me. And he did! We arrived at 4:15 and he had my tire in stock and on the car by 4:45. He recommended that I pick it up the next day because he really wanted to do an alignment before he sent me on my way - but he left the decision totally up to me and gave me the costs of everything. He also told me that I needed front brakes but when I told him that my regular service station (on the peninsula) was planning to do those next week, he didn't push it at all. I got the tire and alignment for a very reasonable price and really felt like what started as a bad situation ended really positively. If I ever leave my regular mechanic, I will leave him for these guys. read more

I have been coming to this place for a while now, and it seems like the new management has really overhauled their customer service. The guy who normally helps me out is great, his name is WIlly a friendly guy who takes the time to explain to you, why the problem on your car happened in the first place, how you can try to prevent it in the future, and how he, can repair it for you. I bring pretty much all my friends and families cars here to get their maintenance done. I have also had all my mechanical rebuilt of my 94 Camaro done by these guys, from simply oil changes to changing my head gaskets. Every time the prices were more than fair in my opinion, they really seem to try to keep their customers happy so they keep coming back, and I gotta say it's working with me.
