This is crazy! Customer service and Ownership gone downhill! I've been coming here for 13-years pretty regularly. We always get (2) Steak and (1) Chicken Fajitas...$57 total or so. The last couple of years they're charging extra per extra salsa you order. I'm feeding (5) people and spending $55 plus tip and you're giving me (2) tiny salsas? If you're sitting at the bar and have chips & salsa are they charging you extra for extra salsa? Long story short I asked for (3) tiny little extra salsas and the bartender (later found out was the Owner's daughter) got in my face and refused to give me salsa without charging extra. She claimed these guys are sitting at the bar, spending time at the restaurant. But are the spending $60.? Have they been coming here for 13 year? Highly doubt it. This is not about the money...it's principle. The "Owner" guy was also at the bar and he was standing his ground yelling at me too. What happened to customer service? I will NEVER go there again and I'll be sure to tell everyone else do not go there. Food is good but this service is unacceptable. Disrespectful. There's plenty of other better restaurants in Canton St. alone. But they think they're above that and don't care. Oh well...their loss. read more

Been here a couple of times, food and drinks are very good, it's a small place so on the weekend a reservation might be in order, if you've been to downtown Roswell you'll know that parking can be an issue, but for $5 you can park across the street. read more

Amazing food! Visited on the weekend and the wait was around 45 min for an outside table. They have only a few tables outside so if you're going at peak times be prepared to wait! I got the veggie enchilada it was really good! Their queso, guac, and verde salsa is also delicious! Also, tried the Pom margarita you really can't go wrong with a margarita! As far as the location is concerned be prepared with some money for parking. Across the street at the antique store would be the closest is available but it is not free! read more

Ok. Came here on a Wednesday evening and the place was PACKED! first off our waitress was outstanding. Don't remember her name but she had lots of tats. She was amazing. Now the food, it was not worth the wait or price. Ordered the red enchilada plate with the lettuce on the side. I've already discovered Mexican food in this area is piled high with lettuce. (Yuck Nice presentation but not very FLAVORFUL. The ground beef was grizzled with no spices. Red sauce was bland and it was room Temperature. I don't believe they cook with spices here at all. Pros: Great for barhopping, drinks and a great taco Tuesday (when quarantine ends). Love the ambiance and style of the restaurant. Very convenient to grab drinks (supposedly great margaritas, I'm allergic but my friends have raved) if you're already on Canton st. Cons: SO tiny and always packed so it's really crammed and uncomfortable. In my opinion the food is far overpriced for what you get - the food is average at best. The food was great at this spot in downtown Roswell. I ordered the beef grande burrito and it came topped with so many good things, like avocado slices and pico de gallo and melted queso. The chips and salsa are actually really good here too. The chips have just the right amount of salt and do not taste overly oily and the salsa is spicy and chunky. The only downside to this restaurant was the really uncomfortable chairs at the tables. They are made out of metal and are slippery and highly uncomfortable. Stopped in Roswell to meet a friend for lunch and randomly picked this place driving by. We had to park across the street and pay $5. The area is nice and there are places to walk around if you need to stretch your legs after lunch or just want to do a little shopping. My first impression was that the place was a bit small and cramped, but we had room at our table. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We had the Smoky Margarita and it tasted great after she added more Tequila for us. I love chips and salsa and theirs was delicious. We split Elsa's enchiladas and we had plenty. I actually was not too impressed with those enchiladas, but I want to go back and try something else because it all looked really good. If I'm craving Mexican and want something close to home, then Ceviche is my choice. I know most other reviews have stated this but just as an FYI be prepared to pay to park just like any other downtown Roswell restaurant. The wait usually isn't too bad. It can be anywhere from 10-45 minutes on the weekends. It just depends on the day. This past time I went with a group of friends on a Friday night around 7:30 and we only waited about 15 minutes for a table. Their outside patio is really great when the weather is nice. They have bottomless chips and salsa, and their salsa is very good. Service has always been great. The waiters are usually very attentive and willing to give recommendations. I've had their Taco Salad and their Chimichanga. Both are pretty good, but I'm usually always in the mood for a chimichanga so that's my go-to. Compared to other Mexican restaurants their portion size is on the smaller side, but it's tasty. It comes with a side of rice and beans. My reasoning for 3 stars is mainly due to their margaritas. When a restaurant has "Margarita Bar" in its name I expect out of this world margaritas. Their house margaritas are honestly less than average, and their Skinny margarita tastes pretty watered down. Overall, Ceviche is a good choice if you're near downtown Roswell and in the mood for Mexican. read more

I came here with a friend and another friend on a rainy Saturday afternoon. This was my first time out in historic Roswell. I was excited for a bloody mary and scallop ceviche. My bloody mary was mediocre. Not nearly enough alcohol, and it was literally just the mix and some black pepper. (don't waste your money) Chips and salsa as a complementary teaser. We ordered some guacamole, which i found to be tasteless. My friends both had the mahi mahi ceviche while i opted for the scallop. The entrees come with 3 saltine crackers ... I wasn't very interested in either entrees. Not sure how it was prepared. But the mahi and the scallops tasted the same even though they are clearly different per the menu, If i'm ever back here, I might try their other plates and not the ceviche. read more

Ceviche is, without a doubt, our favorite Mexican restaurant in Roswell. The food is THAT good. Plus, the service is outstanding. For our mid-week dinner, I had the chicken mango tacos - grilled chicken on corn tortillas topped with mango salsa, cheese, and a drizzle of red pepper ranch. The interplay between hot, sweet, and creamy was amazing. My husband had a beef chimichanga which was also outstanding. Both of our meals were accompanied by Mexican rice and pinto beans. Prepare to pay $3-$5 for parking on a Friday or Saturday night. This is not affecting my review just a comment. First - skinny margaritas are terrible. Please order one of the flavored ones, at least those don't have water as an ingredient. Second - the seafood combo looks great but it is fried in really old oil or something that has an horrible after taste, it is hard to screw up something fried but they figure out a way to do it. Once been here a few tiles now and every time I leave happy and full. It's a great local spot. Good drinks. Good food. I always get something different and I'm always happy with it. They have a really good outdoor space and I think it's dog friendly (don't quote every on that though) My only complaints: 1. The parking (which is terrible no matter what for any of these restaurants on Canton so maybe that's not fair). It's the main reason I haven't been more. I hate to pay for parking especially when ballet is unnecessary and we're not in a place with a garage or anything like that. There just isn't enough to service all of the restaurants on the street now. And 2. The salsa is spicy. I sadly can't do spicy food anymore after some stomach issues and this salsa has a bite. This ceviche was whole pieces on meat and formed a pico de gallo feel. Not what my wife has had before with the meat and mix chopped up. I wasn't a fan on the ceviche and the scallops were not good. Met a friend here last night for dinner, and was disappointed overall. After waiting a very long time for our server - despite being the only patrons inside the dining area, we ordered a couple margaritas. My watermelon-mint one was fine but served in a very small glass crammed with fruit and tons of mint leaves...the amount of actual drink was just a couple ounces; for $13. Not worth it. But to me the bigger offense was the fact that I ordered the ceviche entree and was served - and this is no exaggeration - a plate of whole, boiled shrimp with pico de gallo drizzled across it. For a restaurant named CEVICHE, you would think this would be their star, must-eat, out-of-this-world entree. I've never seen ceviche served like this before so it was really off-putting, and just really boring and bland. The two stars are for the fact that my food and drink were edible and despite the poor service, my friend and I had a good time and I left with a full belly of (basic) shrimp. We have been here a couple of times on the weekend and it is just ok. The location is great, especially if you eat outside. It is a little tight, but people are friendly and the people watching is great. Service has been quick and friendly each time we went as well. The place itself looks uncared for. I understand that is kind of the look - old buildings and such - but you can keep the vibe and still paint the place. Same for the tables, while in good shape, all of them are crooked/tilted because the sidewalk is beat up. If that is your spot, don't wait for the city to get around to fixing your sidewalk, spend a buck and create a level, safe front for your outdoor dining. The food is not great. I have sampled a few items across the menu and they are usually just ok. This trip I had shrimp fajitas and it was all absolutely frozen, warmed up, and hit the grill for a minute before they brought it out. The tortillas were actually really good! In short, this is a good place to sit outside and have some drinks with friends, maybe get a small bite to eat, but we won't do a meal here again. Have been to the Alpharetta location a few times without issue. Yesterday, a few hours after eating at Ceviche, I became so sick and remained so all night long. Over the location looks dirty - on the interior the widows are covered in cobwebs. The dining room smells of dirty dish water. Whatever I ate was clearly either contaminated or old. This underwhelming Mexican restaurant in downtown Roswell wastes an amazing location on Canton St by serving up slack margaritas and disappointing entrees. My chicken chimichanga was dry and tasteless, and the Cadillac Margarita lacked flavor or kick. The sidewalk tables are packed pretty tight, and service the evening I dropped by was fairly slow. I accidentally deleted my old review for this place, whoops. I should probably state outright that the five stars is for the service -- specifically the bartenders. I love them. There is such a thing as bar karma and regulars who tip well reap the benefits. Obviously they want you to come back, but I feel like I've become friends with these guys and gals. They know my name and my friends' names and are always friendly. If they "mess up" a drink (make a duplicate or make the wrong thing), guess who gets that drink? Anyone who frequents bars should know that if you take care of your bartenders, they'll take care of you. The food is good, but not omg amazing. I typically eat two bowls of chips and salsa by myself during every visit, which is probably not something I should readily admit, but that stuff is delicious and people should know about it. Plus it's FREE. In my perfect world, every restaurant, regardless of the kind of food they serve, would put out chips and salsa at every table. Keep your bread, Italian restaurants, I want chips and salsa and I don't care that it's not an Italian food. Basically, I come here to drink. My friends and I hardly ever get food (the handful of times I've ordered food I've either gotten fish tacos or a quesadilla, both of which are good choices). It's become our go-to spot because we love the atmosphere and chatting it up with the bartenders. There are different drink specials every night and on Fridays and Saturdays they have live music. They only have Dos Equis Amber, Dos Equis Lager, and Blue Moon on tap, but that's good enough for me. I either get an Amber or something bottled. I'm not too picky, but I know other reviewers dislike the beer selection. It's a bit cramped inside, but I always sit at the bar and the rooftop patio looks like a fun place to hang out, too. Oh and just a little note: They leave their front door open all afternoon/evening. If you're going to freak out about the occasional bug crawling/flying around, this place isn't for you. I had to give this small mexican restaurant in the middle of Historic Roswell 4 stars because of the food and outside seating. This is the perfect place to go on a warm nice evening when you just want to chill out, get a pitcher of strong and very good margaritas, and eat some tasty authentic mexican food. The chips are always crisp and fresh and the salsa has the perfect amount of heat to it. The cheese dip is my hubby's favorite, while the steak and shrimp tacos never dissapoint. What is dissapointing however is the service. Honestly......terrible. If I had to give a rating based on that alone it would be zero stars. The place is run by teenagers it seems, and the last thing that's on their mind is serving you. On one visit our server just dissapeared before we were brought our cheese dip for the chips, we waited and waited and finally we saw him down the street smoking a cigarette. About 2 weeks ago we went to have margaritas and chips at the bar and the bartender just walked off after serving us our first margarita. We sat with empty glasses for 20 minutes while we finished our chips, he never came back so we left and went to Red Salt. While we were walking out we noticed that he was sitting at a table in the restaurant eating! Don't let the service keep you away, it obviously doesn't keep anyone else away because this place is always crowded.
