I will start off by saying DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY for wraparound services. If you must I hight…read morerecommend that you request Hayley and Latrice's team or go with Victor in Perris. If not and you love yourself and your life now I guarantee after you work with Olivecres you will be depressed and hate everything about life and the work you do. Olive Crest wraparound is one service that I think might possibly be a scam if it were not for the fact that I actually did work with one team that was effective at the jobs but the company REFUSED to let me work with that team again when I requested them which was frustrating. I have only ever worked with one team that I found to be effective and that was led by Carolina who unfortunately left the company, the BHS was also amazing and she too left the company and Hayley who replaced her was also incredible. Hayley shared profound insights that were new to me and she did amazing in teaching me different ways to respond and look at the children when dealing with negative behaviors. Ms. Latrice was an incredible parent partner who as a parent understood what it is like to care for children and the difficult day-to-day issues that came up. She was honest and forthcoming with me, pointed out flaws in my thinking and I fully felt supported. This was the dream team, I found the kid's behaviors decreasing and they did a job holding them accountable and knowing they had large control of their lives. The two last teams I work with were a NIGHTMARE and interestingly in the same cluster and thus shared one supervisor which speaks volumes about the people she is hiring and how she trains them. Only the parent partners really had cultural awareness/sensitivity but that was the least of my concerns. After this team, I worked with two other teams and the experience was awful. Ms. Debbie from the team who was my parent partner was an angel the only light of the whole experience in the way that she validated my feelings and recognized when I was struggling, she cared and was a great support. The rest of the team gossiped about me, did not care beyond showing up and doing the hour they were supposed to do, JUDGED and JUDGED despite the fact that they did not have children of their own and therefore had ZERO understanding of the position that I was in. It literally felt like I was being forced to welcome people who were against me into my own home. Other than Ms. Debbie's support I honestly didn't understand the need for this team because they honestly did not help in any way or form. If their responsibility is to be mentors or friends for the kids then just name them mentors or peers. Don't give them titles like BHS, or coordinators. Brooke the clinician of this team was actually another positive one on the team, I enjoyed talking to her about what could possibly be stemming from the negative behaviors beyond the obvious trauma and strategized how to navigate around that. She really was educative in the way she communicated I gained a lot of knowledge from her and her positive attitude. The last team I worked with again other than the Parent Partners this team was even worse than the previous one. They CONTRIBUTED to the child's negative behaviors and took out my time during meetings while accomplishing NOTHING. I grew up under a dictatorship, I watched people get killed on the streets, and I have been stuck in a burning house with fire around me at the age of 7 years old. I KNOW trauma. This team used trauma to dismiss the child's negative behaviors, they told her that it was not okay to behave in certain ways, but they did not hold her accountable or tell her that it was okay. When I said no make up the BHS would go to the store and buy the 11-year-old makeup. They undermined me and two of the child's previous caregivers confirmed that this was also their experience with the team. Each time I spoke to anyone besides the parent partner it felt like maybe I was speaking a different language. Like I felt I shared my concern and rather than being heard and receiving solution-based or solution-oriented answers; the responses would instead them telling me that it was a result of trauma which I already knew. Okay, great, so what exactly am I supposed to do with that? Why are you here? One thing I can say for the coordinator of the second team is at least she would ask me questions like "How can we support you?" "What can we do?" those questions meant the world. This (third) team has been following this child for 4 YEARS and the behaviors only increased. I am mind blown that these people are actually getting paid to do this. I WILL NEVER WORK with this company again. The last two teams outside of the parent partners contributed to significant stress and mental health decline. My hair literally started falling and I gained 30 pounds, had stubborn tonsillitis, and developed high blood pressure and chest pains. Like I said if you love your life avoid their wraparound services AT ALL COST.

There was a pool in the back, where I learned to swim as a champion in two tournaments with other foster Homes and boys homes. Took pictures in front of the home where there was a fountain, we used to run go carts around the circle, While Mr Stone and Mr Baskerville would watch, they were the director and assistant directors of our home. While there we had a boxer named Smokey. Who jumped from the 2nd story balcony, to be with us, we were in church, in the basement, as you look at the front home , it was bottom left. We got our picture in the local newspaper with Smokey. We went to Paramount Studios to see Blue Hawaii, and just missed Elvis, we saw that day, Jerry Lewis making The Nutty Professor, a scene where he picked up weights and his arms stretched to the ground while he stood there, very funny, and ate lunch with Cartwrights of Bonanza, and a slew of Stars. I could go on, but I'm trying to find that picture of Smokey and the boys of 1962!

Beware of any business with this program for the wellbeing of your child, foster child, client, etc.

(I do understand and respect prioritizing the mental health of the cats, but I'm sure the cats, especially the adults, would prefer a compromise, like being required to fill out a one page form on the spot before meeting). Every serious adopter that goes into a pet store and sees one of this organization's animals that they are interested in adopting and is told they have to go through this and this and this step before they can even interact with the cat and know if the personality is a fit. Everyone loses out. In my experience, even if you do go through all the steps, they won't call you back, and a cat that could have had a home I know had that opportunity taken from them because of the seemingly righteous or superior attitude of the rescue people. They surely know how many people go in and out of those cat and kitten rooms at the Animal Friends of the Valley shelter. Having a few people go in one at a time to meet one particular cat, I don't feel, is any more dangerous or unhealthy for the cat than them losing the opportunity to be adopted and eventually being put down. I just don't understand rescues like this. If you're too small to actually help, then let somebody else do it.

Mindy provided a very personable, warm and extremely responsive service, made every effort to respond to my inquiry on Adopt-A-Pet and approving my application as well as just answering my questions and chatting with me about my potential cat baby's personality traits and his background story. She responded to emails as late as 11PM on a weekend and her demeanor was always welcoming and reassuring, like an old, caring friend. Mindy's words and actions convey that she truly truly love all of her rescued cat babies and she only wants what's best for them and she works extremely hard to find them good homes. I was very sad that neither cat babies from her rescue matched the particular personality I was looking for (I was trying to fill this big hole in my heart with the tragic loss of a stray cat named Cookie I cared for) and I really wished that given all the hard work she and her daughter put into, I'd adopt either Teddy or Khabib. Despite these big, affectionate sweet boys were not the best match I was searching for, I don't think any less of them, I sincerely hope they will find their forever home they deserve and I cannot be more grateful for Mindy's time, patience and understanding she's extended me and my family. If I had more capacity for an additional cat baby in the future after finding THE ONE, Mindy and her rescue is the first place I'd check out. Throughout the entire home study process (which can be very intense) FCCA, Lindsay and Alison have been fantastic. We felt everything that was required of us was clearly stated and easy to understand. If we ever had any questions we would receive a prompt reply or if needed they were very accessible via phone call. The adoption process can be very stressful, but using FCCA for our home study really took a huge stress off of our plate. Every step, home study, placement and post placement has been accompanied by clear communication, support and thorough efficiency. We also cannot recommend Lee Ann who completed our home visits enough. Lee Ann is incredibly kind, thoughtful and empathetic. We could feel how much she cared for us and wanted us to succeed in this process. We are truly grateful for FCCA and their entire team for being there for us in our adoption journey .

After a taking a look at a number of breeders from websites in So Cal, Central California, and the Bay Area, and visiting others in person, my discouragement ended after communicating with Angie from Golden Retriever Buddies. My visit reinforced my initial positive impressions upon visiting their facility and meeting her in person. I was able to come home that same day with a handsome little pup. As others have already written, this breeder, Angie, demonstrated exceptional care for their puppies as shown by their pictures, the environment in which they were kept and the acute detail in documenting all vaccines administered. Moreover, Angie had shared that she limited how much he was fed to prevent car sickness for the drive home. Angie could not have been friendlier or more professional in facilitating the transition to being a new Golden Retriever puppy parent. Having had two other Goldens from breeders, Angie was the most professional and sincere with whom I've interacted. This breeder had amazingly top quality puppies that I would not hesitate to contact again for another pup. She is a real gem as are her puppies. If you are looking for a Golden, you won't need to look any further than Golden Retriever Buddies, they have quality great looking puppies that experience lots of TLC!
