My (Grande) margarita was too sweet and it was big, poured into an oversized glass, so I had to power thru it. They just put a lot of ice in it so i guess there wasn't as much to power through. And I got a buzz so I guess it did the job but I hardly enjoyed it. I ordered the tacos a la carte but they accidentally came with beans n rice. They said "have them anyway! We won't charge you for the beans n rice." **See?! Amazing service.** The tortillas make the tacos! So, so good! The spicy steak was spicy and the shrimp was fine. But the tortillas were on point. I never ate the beans n rice. I was too full. Pricing is a bit high IMO. Those mini tacos priced $4 and $5. Margarita at $18. That's Happy Hour pricing. read more

This review is long overdue! I absolutely love coming to Cha Cha's Latin Kitchen. I have visited on two different instances and they never fail to make it the best time ever. Everyone who works here is very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They make sure to check in and see how one is doing and very helpful in giving recommendations. The ambiance is also so amazing here. The music is always fun and lively and upon walking in you can tell everyone is having a good time. This past visit I had the pleasure of taking my bf for his birthday. We both started off the night with the Cha Cha's Margarita. This is such a good margarita and we are very glad we decided on it. Another great drink is the Watermelon Margarita. For our shared appetizers we chose the Fresh Guacamole and the Cha Cha's Fries. Both were very delicous and a great way to start the meal. For our main entree we both chose to get the tacos. I got the 2 shrimp tacos and 1 chicken taco and same case was for my bf. These are some of the best tacos I have had at an actual sit down restaurant and is why it has been my go to for the past 2 visits. I definitely plan to branch out but these are really great options. We just visited this past 11/5/2024 for dinner. We started the night off with some classic margaritas and watermelon margaritas which are super fresh and yummy! The watermelon / sandia is made fresh. As for apps, we had the chicken flautas. Since it's taco Tuesday, we shared some short rib, fish, shrimp, and steak tacos. The dessert is so delicious especially the dulce de leche ice cream paired with their churros. Carlos is really attentive and provided us with amazing service. Been here a few times. Drinks are great, service has been good, but haven't really enjoyed their food. Chips have always been way too salty for me. Their appetizers have not been savory enough, and the fish tacos I had were very blah. I'll go back again soon and try some different items. read more

I had a party of 10 people, Krystal the Manager was terrific, we had the best food, and everyone was raving about their Margaritas, Mojitas, wine and fancy cocktails on happy hour. My shrimp & crab meat enchiladas were delicious, most all of us had them, the guacamole we ordered was incredible! There is never an off night here, parking is right in front and no service fee is added to the bill, like I've recently experienced at another Mexican restaurant. Our server was very attentive and the food was good. Ambiance was nice as before. We have not been to this location in a very long time and we decided to spend my birthday there for dinner with my adult children. To our surprise, when we received our bill we were shocked how much it cost for a party of five. And to top it off we were charged for a birthday flan dessert and they automatically included the tip amount on the bill. Since when do they not offer a free birthday dessert to the birthday customer. We were charged an extra tax amount for alcohol as well which is so ridiculous since their drink prices are already high. I don't think we will be going back again. So I previously posted about our entrees taking a long time, but the food was so good it was worth trying again. And not only was our dinner tonight so delicious, but it was so fast!! We were in and out of there in an hour. We have two very little kids so our server Kim could tell we needed a quick meal. She was so great! I love Cha Cha's. My girlfriend and I decided to go here last night after seeing the reviews on Yelp. Having seen the restaurant in the past on some "best in Irvine" types of lists, I had high expectations for this restaurant. We had Miguel as a server and I kid you not when I say this was the best hospitality I've experienced this year. He was so friendly and gave us tips and advice on every course. He recommended the Fresh Watermelon margarita which was honestly one of the best drinks I've ever had. He stopped by our table every couple minutes to refill water, chips, and salsa. He literally made the evening for us. For food, we went with the Ahi Aquachile for the appetizer. It was great. Took a little long to come out but it was busy at the restaurant so we understood. For our mains, my girlfriend got the roasted chicken signature entree and it was delicious. I decided to go with tacos and ordered the short rib, mushroom, and shrimp. All 3 were fantastic with the short rib and mushroom being my favorites. By the time dessert came around, we were too full to order anything but since it was our first time at Cha Cha, both Miguel and his manager decided to give us a free order of the Flan to try since it's their signature dessert. I thought I was too full to eat but the Flan was sooooo good that we inhaled it and didn't leave a single crumb on the plate. 100% I will go back to Cha Cha. The hospitality here is top notch. We came here on a Sunday afternoon, around 1pm. They were offering brunch during this time and had really good options for food. I cannot express how amazing the service here was. I hope you get Paul as your server when you go. He's extremely nice, attentive, and had great personality. He seemed genuinely happy even for a busy, warm afternoon. Paul also stopped by 2-3x to check in on us and made sure to update us on food/drink status. We ordered their ceviche which was great - it had jalapeños in it which gave it a great kick. Their grilled salad with steak was surprisingly tasty and a really big portion too. We also ordered their carnitas which sits on a bed of sautéed onions, and came with your choice of tortillas and their rice and beans. All food items were portioned well. I slightly wished their flan was a little bigger because it really was so good (we love flan), but given the food and drinks we ordered, it was probably a good idea that the flan was on the smaller side. This is an updated review for my recent trip to Cha Cha's Latin Kitchen and it was def a better experience than my last. My friends and I decided to come in for dinner this past Wednesday which was 50% off enchiladas~ yum. Oscar was our waiter for the day and he was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. I also appreciated how accommodating he was too especially when my friends wanted to switch out the goat cheese from the short rib enchilada for another type of cheese. We all got enchiladas- the short rib and the shrimp & crab along with a cheese quesadilla as an appetizer and a cha cha's margarita. Everything was cooked to perfection and left us super full and satisfied. I love how they also provide chips and salsa to munch on too. Overall, I'm glad I gave Cha Cha's another chance.
