Went Cha Chas tonight for dinner for Mexican food. OMG it was yhe best Mexican food I have had here in Arlington area. The young lady Yohanah that served our table is absolutely amazing. She is very attentive, not only with the adults but the children that are at the table as well. She makes you feel right at home. Barely got service and I ordered a to-go soup for my mom who is extremely sick. If you wanna spend $7 on a to-go soup the size of a tortilla chip this is a great place to go. Cha-cha's is classic Arlington, I mean it burned down once and they had to rebuild it because everyone here freaked out what are we gonna do without our cha-chas... The nice thing about it is the food is large portions very tasty. The staff is very helpful and always keeps you refilled, and their sopapillas are huge... It's a cute little restaurant and a classic. It's my favorite place for Chile Riano's, sometimes I just get them à la carte. I also really love their empanadas... We visit this Mansfield location very often. Tonight was a very busy night, of which we had no problem with. The problem came when our buzzer went off and I took it to the front and handed it to the young lady. She took it, sat it on the counter and proceeded to help others who's buzzer had gone off as well. After about 5 minutes I asked her if she planned to seat us. She replied that there was still 8 people in front of us. I asked why our buzzer went off. And she explained to me that she must have hit it on accident. No remorse, no apologies, nothing. I'm really disappointed writing this because I didn't expect to leave in pain from what should have been a normal dinner. During my visit today close to 8pm, I was mistakenly served hot oil instead of consommé, and it burned my mouth immediately more of a thermal burn. I was sitting there icing my lips and mouth because of how painful it was, and I let the staff know right away. I asked if I could replace the original "consommé" bowl for a new one and she said she would go exchange them for us and tell her manager to come speak with me, but no one ever came. I was honestly so upset and uncomfortable that my husband ended up asking for to-go boxes and our check so we could leave. We were there in total maybe 30 minutes mainly waiting on food. When my server went back to the kitchen to explain what happened, I could hear a male staff member talk to her in Spanish. He didn't seem to bother, almost sounded like he was laughing over his mistake. I am fluent in Spanish, and hearing that tone in that moment was very upsetting, especially knowing this situation happened because of a mistake that caused me harm. Since then, I've been dealing with pain, irritation, and loss of taste, which has been really concerning. I have documented visible irritation to my lips and tongue following this incident. I understand that mistakes can happen, but what made this experience so disappointing was the lack of response from management. I didn't feel acknowledged or taken seriously. Our server sweet as can be but I felt I had to leave to avoid crying and anger because I was really excited to eat my usual plate of quesabirria quesadillas with my side of rice. We like coming to Cha Cha's for their lunch specials during the week, they have good prices and really fast service. We have come many times and each time the wait staff we get are always pleasant and helpful. Never had bad customer service here. We also come for dinner and on the weekends. I usually get the beef stuffed empanadas, as my meal. It comes as an appetizer or a meal, but the meal is so much food there's always leftovers. My sons get enchiladas or fajita topped enchiladas and my husband switches up what he gets but has always liked what he gets. It's good food, not our absolute favorite, but it is good. I would say don't come an hour or so before closing, they like to wrap up and get out of there. First time I ever felt rushed here. We arrived at 7:40 pm, ordered our queso, drinks and food and got it right away. They close at 9pm. But at 8:23pm our waitress came over and said the kitchen was closing in 5 mins so if we wanted dessert or anything else we had to order right then. They had been mopping floors the entire time and putting chairs on tables the entire time we were there and while we ate. It felt as if we were doing something wrong and keeping them late when they still had almost 40 mins till close. I've never been a fan of restaurants putting chairs on tables while open for business, I'm used to doing closing things after closed and adjusting schedules and work hours of staff to reflect that. We are new to the area and are looking for that special place that we would enjoy going to eat our favorite food. We stopped by after church and it was a good thing that we got there early as it progress progressively became very busy. The parking lot was empty when we got there, but it was full when we left! We brought our two grandchildren with us and the waiter that we had was absolutely wonderful with them. They could not get over the fact that he brought them ice cream and they did not even order it! But even more impressive was the magic trick with the coin that he did . They can't stop talking about it. Please understand we are extremely extremely picky about our tex-Mex food! I had a half order of chicken fajita nachos and my husband had a half order of chicken fajita quesadillas. I really appreciate it that the nachos work just covered deep with cheese on nearly every chip! Both for Hardy enough half plates to satisfy us both. The chips were light and crispy and the salsa was a good balance of mild with a little kick. The most important item for us is queso and ironically, we did not order it. We plan on going back to try that out. It's ridiculous as it sounds. That will be the make or break item, lol! However, we really enjoyed it and we will definitely be back! After living in the area for over two years, we finally made it to Cha Cha's. We have been hunting for a Mexican restaurant that might come close to the Mexican food we are used to in Southern California; unfortunately, this was not the place. Our experience wasn't all bad. Cha Cha's has a decent ambiance, our server Emma, was wonderful, and their chips and salsa and margaritas are great! Our entrees is where it went wrong. I ordered the grilled shrimp tacos and my husband ordered the carne asada. We agreed that the only thing good on each of our plates was the beans and rice. They were delicious. My shrimp tacos had only 3 shrimp on each taco with a PILE of shredded cheese and lettuce mix. I didn't taste a hint of seasoning and there was no type of sauce. My husband, who never complains, sent his carne asada back stating that the meat tasted bad. There were two slices of skirt steak, also without any hints of seasoning and he said one tasted like it was old/spoiled and he stopped eating. It was overall, disappointing, except for what I mentioned above. I am doubtful we will return. If you are looking for delicious grilled shrimp tacos, head over the Chuy's (yes, Chuy's). We were finally visiting this local Mexican restaurant, we drove by all the time and the parking lot is always full, so we wanted to see what was attracting so many locals. We were seated right away, the place is dark, lack of color typical of Mexican restaurants. Our drinks came right away, and we ordered Guac and Queso to snack on with the chips and salsa that arrived at our table. The chips are thin, so they break when you grab any salsa, the salsa unfortunately was runny and plain, kind of the bottle or can salsa, no chunks, no cilantro, no spices. The Queso was probably can cheese, probably, no real butter or cheese in it. The Guac was fresh but plain. The beef fajitas were smoky and tasty, came with commercial package yellow corn tortillas (not homemade), charro beans (kudos to the chef: the best charro beans I had in a while), and Mexican rice, but no effort was made in the rice (was flavorless). My wife had the Chicken Pechuga (baked breast) it was very dry and lacked seasoning. The beef fajitas get one star, the charro beans get one star, so I gave the restaurant two stars. I do see how this place would come here often, this is a slight upgrade to fast food taco places. read more

Parking is intense here. Learned that if there are no spaces in the parking lot that guest park in the parking lot near the H&R Block. There are multiple signs warning you not to park in front of H&R Block so park near the street or middle spots. The restaurant itself is cute. It is pretty noisy so if you're with guest who may have a hard time hearing I probably wouldn't suggest this place during their busy hours. The menu prices were reasonable. My friend liked that they had a create your own plate. Gives you a chance to try menu items you prefer. Service was pretty good and the server was friendly. We pass by this place a lot. The parking lot is always packed, that's not an exaggeration either. We figured it must be good, so we decided to stop in. The packed parking lot must be out of location more than experience. It was super busy, but in 10 minutes we were seated. Nice enough place, full Mexican deco. Chips and salsa, chips were harder than I'd like but my wife likes them. Salsa we both agreed was lacking spice. All tomato, no spice. We did ask for something spicier and they eventually brought some green sauce, basically jalapeño salsa. it was good. Wife had thenCha's Cha's special and I had the Maria's. The tacos were great!!!! The flavor on the sauces over the enchiladas was good. The insides of tue enchiladas (cheese and chicken) was flavorless. Wife's enchiladas came out cold. They did replace them quickly. Waitress seemed distracted or busy. Kept forgetting what she was going to do for us. Overall, the food was ok. Standard Tex Mex fare. My Sis and I went to this restaurant around noonish on March 16,2024. We visited a couple of times before and were very satisfied. but on this past Saturday I have to say the food was no where near what we expected. I was excited to know they served Menudo a Mexican soup and for me to say it was terrible is a big deal. There was not enough flavor in it , it was very bland the meat was very mushy and not firm I ate a 1/4 of the bowl and could not finish it. My Sister had carne guisada and again no flavor you could taste the flour that the gravy was made out of and the meat was very fatty. So we ordered a couple of carnitas tacos and to me the meat was good but not shredded and the corn tortilla was very greasy. We come here a lot for work lunch because we know that we are going to enjoy it and easily be back to our desk timely. We couldn't eat everything as we were getting so full halfway through. This is definitely the epitome of Tex-Mex cuisine and it was delightful. People eating and conversating happily on a Friday night. Got our food home and everything was packaged nicely. The queso with meat was my favorite! Margarita mix is horrible, so it doesn't matter if you substitute for Patron. Had 1 sip and sent the maragarita back. It had a weird dark yellow color. 2 waters were better than a disappointing margarita experience. They really need to upgrade their margarita mix. Went to Cha Cha's for some much needed girl time. The was great at first but once the place started getting busier his attentiveness went down. There were 5 of us and 2 meals were brought out extremely fast after ordering, but they finished before the next meals came. The last meal was delivered probably 25 mins after the first 2. It was just weird that one of the first meals and the last meal were the exact same ‍ Now the food was delicious! Out favorite go-to for Mexican food. The new bierra taco dish has become my new favorite! The not too spicy soft cor. Tacos are filled with a tender shredded spicy roast and topped with cilantro and melted cheese and served with that rich red sauce for dipping and charro beans and Mexican rice.
