Delta Shores is located haft way between my girlfriend and I. I went on the Delta Shores webpage and looked at the available restaurants. Chat Bistro is a newer restaurant to me and it had 4.5 stars so it got my attention. I looked at some of the other restaurants and they had less starts on yelp so this was going to be our new favorite. As it turns out I parked right behind the restaurant. The parking lot was busy, but not so much that I couldn't find a close space. I didn't see any disabled parking as I walked to the front of the restaurant. There may have been disabled parking on the other side of the restaurant. The restaurant was pretty cool, even in the summer and it was 97 out at July 9, 2026. My girlfriend wore a short over her tank top which was a great idea. I wish I had brought a light jacket. I was a bit taken back when I entered the restaurant that it wasn't a sit down place. I was hoping for a sit down restaurant. When I arrived one couple was sitting outside in there fenced off seating area. And there was a large party indoors just finishing up and ordering some extra food to go. They had so many empty dishes on their tables. I was happy surprised that there were so many empty tabes. I didn't think ahead with the worry that they would be packed as we were coming at the dinner hour, 5:30pm on a Thursday. We ordered at the front counter by choosing our dishes off the menu overhead. We paid and then they brought us our food and drinks. They didn't give us a number or buzzer. It was really nice. Lychee Shake- Perfect flavor and texture. It was a slush drink that tasted very much like Lychee. I'm a huge Lychee fan and even have fresh Lychees in my fridge so I was very satisfied. $4.99 Iced Rooh-Afza- Not my favorite, it tased like roses. It was the consistency of an iced tea type drink. Not a slush. $3.99 Butter Chicken: Boneless tandoori chicken, simmered in a mild tomato cream sauce infused with cinnamon, cloves, cardamon, and bay leaves. $17.99- good, but not great. It wasn't the favorite Butter Chicken I've ever had, but not bad either. Chicken BIryani: Seasoned basmati rice and chicken served with Riata $15.99 We ordered mild and it had a little spice to it, which was good. The Riata was a good plus to it and took it down to mild. It was good, but there was too much chicken and not enough rice. You sure did get your money's worth with the amount of Chicken they put in it. Naan- Very fresh and came with the Butte Chicken. The best party of dinner was sharing it with a long time friend of mine. The food was just an excuse to get together. Would I go back, sure it wasn't bad and maybe other dishes will be more my thing. First time trying an indian food here in Sac, chaat bistro didn't disappoint. I found a good chicken biryani here. They have a huge serving of their dish which is a plus. Place is good and doesn't smell bad. Love that the drinks is included in your bill. Good for the price, good service. The buttered chicken is okay for me. The interior of the restaurant isn't the biggest but when we went, this didn't seem to be a problem as they weren't very busy during lunch on a Saturday. My food arrives and it comes with a nice size serving of rice that is flavorful and delicious. The curry in the Tikka masala is so rich and flavorful not too spicy. Honestly, this is a solid option for Indian food in the Sac area. We have tried quite a few Indian restaurants trying to find our go-to and it has been quite a difficult task. Let's start with what went well: This restaurant has delicious naan--it's chewy, soft, warm, with a little crisp to it. The curries were hot and arrived as described. I think if I could have a redo I would order the paneer tikka masala as my husband's chicken tikka nasal looked good and the curry sauce had a pleasant, , creamy flavor. I, however, ordered the aloo matar, a dish I have had before and liked but this one was kind of bitter and not as creamy as I remembered it being elsewhere. Curries came with generous portions of basmati rice...I would say one serving is more than enough for two people. Inside is very clean and staff were patient as my partner and I scanned their lengthy menu. We decided to order the vegetable samosa appetizer, tikka masala, chicken curry, and sides of rice and naan. Chaat Bistro is on the pricier side, and our meal was about $50; however, the amount of food helps justify the price. Their samosas were so good that I forgot to take a picture before digging in. I greeted her and she spoke back and asked if we were ready to order. I asked my mom what she wanted. She said butter chicken and some lentils. I said im not sure if they have lentils. The only menu is hanging up high. As im looking for lentils, the young lady say, let me know when you are ready and walks to the back. Boom its just me and my mom in the restaurant looking at each other. We left as it seemed we should have been aware of how ordering worked and should have known what we wanted. The food may be good. We've been here a few times now, and it's an absolute crime that they aren't bustling with customers. We've had various dishes, and everything is always made fresh and incredibly delicious! Our two favorite curies so far are the butter chicken and the vindaloo chicken, and we can't get enough of the batter-fried cauliflower (gobi pakora). Chaat also has some of the best naan we've had - slightly crispy and chewy without being too dense. Finally, it was recommended we try the mango lassi drink during our last visit. Neither me or my partner are big fans of mango, but we gave it a shot... it was so damn good! It's kinda like a sweet mango smoothie made with fruit and yogurt? All I know is it went really well with the meal, and helped a bit with the heat from the curry. Entering this restaurant, I expected a sit-down service at the table type place, but you order at a counter, and it feels more like a fast food emporium. The place is very neat, clean, and well organized, and the offerings are what you'd find at finer quality Indian restaurants. There were four of us, and I ordered the Lamb Biryani. Along with it, I got a Garlic Pesto Naan and a Sweet Lassi. The food is actually quite good and as good as at a better quality restaurant serving Indian food. The portions are also quite large. I had a spicy version, and the heat level was just right. The lamb was tender and perfectly cooked. The yogurt sauce cones in a small dish on the side. They automatically give you plastic glasses for filling with water. The service was friendly enough, but it fell apart in getting the meals. One meal came out, and we all sat there awkwardly waiting, and after 10 minutes, another one arrived. We waited again for several minutes until another one arrived, and the last one had some five or more minutes after. Meanwhile, the first delivered meals were getting cold. They appeared to be juggling delivery to two tables, ours and another, and it was totally out of sync and frustrating. I love trying new restaurants, whether they're new to me or "hot and new" on the scene. A friend suggested Chaat Bistro in Delta Shores and I was immediately excited to try a new Indian option as it's one of my favorite types of food. The building is right by Tastea and is clean and modern. These set ups give off corporate vibes, but when I looked them up it's clear that it's a family owned business. In fact, the website says it's family owned and their family has been in the restaurant business for over 25 years. This is the type of place where you place your order at the front counter and pay and then they'll bring your food to you. They have a lot of great options on their menu and it was hard to choose. We ended up ordering the Pani Puri, Chili Chicken, Lamb Biryani and garlic naan. The Pani Puri were fun to eat, but a bit messy. Definitely a great appetizer to wake up your taste buds with a medley of flavors before the main course. The Chili Chicken was delicious, moist and packed with flavor with a bit of heat at the end, we paired this with the naan and it was so good together. The Lamb Biryani was also so good, filled with flavor and the meat was really tender. All the ingredients seemed fresh and the portions were enough that we not only shared these dishes between the two of us but went home with enough for another meal each. Usually get my papdri chaat from somewhere else but saw this place and wanted to try. I ordered online and I would say the price is a couple dollars overpriced based on the quantity. I'm not sure if I had ordered in person if it was the same, but on their own website it was $8ish and then with a convenience fee and tax came out to $11 something. The container used is quite small but they do fill it up, I think a price of $7 is more reasonable considering there's no expensive ingredients or meat in it. I would get it from here again but I think I prefer my main place as their quantity is more and their price is about $8 I didn't try their other menu items, but there seems to be many options and also the plaza it is in has many complimentary options as well. read more

We ordered the masala fries which were delicious, not oily at all. Per my fiancé "the best fries he has ever had" and it's a pretty big serving! Then we had butter chicken. They ask you what level of spice you want. It was flavorful and delicious! The nan were fluffy and crisp at the same time. Super flavorful -- very fresh!! And last I ordered was the chicken wrap which I didn't try but it was huge I will say it's a little bit on the pricey side but the food is fresh and it's all shareable items. Their garlic naan was fresh and crispy, butter chicken had deep flavor and tender chicken, the fish pakora had the fennel flavor which my bf didn't like, but I liked it.
