Nepali Samosa
Julia T.

Clean interior with a lovely ambiance. Calm music and beautiful wall depictions. Servers were very kind, attentive, and polite. We ordered the Nepali Samosa, chicken korma, and butter chicken. All were very delightful. Juicy pieces of chicken. Sauces were very rich and maybe a bit heavy for my liking due to all the heavy cream but I loved the flavor on the korma. Samosas were delectable and I loved the salty powder they sprinkle on top. Paid about 65$ in total.

First time at Everest curry but definitely won't be the last! I got the chicken tikka masala and it was a flavor explosion. It was creamy and tomatoey! My friend got the butter chicken and that was also so dang good. We got a side of garlic naan and that was to die for. The servers were also very attentive! I will be back to try more stuff on their menu!

I came here with a party of 3; we ordered the Everest sampler, chicken tikka masala, chicken saag, salmon tandoori, and garlic naan. Decent portions, I think the Everest sampler is really worth it given that it's only $13 but you get so much variety and decent amount of food (the sauces are so yummy too). My favorite dish (which I failed to capture a picture of) was the salmon tandoori - the dish is good on its own, but topped off with the sauces from the sampler, the combination of flavors elevates the dish. The only miss was the chicken tikka masala, in my opinion the curry is too sweet, but the chicken pieces were still tender. The chicken saag was ok. The hostess/server was very friendly, and when we asked to sub out the shrimp due to allergies, she was very accommodating and subbed it out with chicken at no extra charge! I do wish water refills were more frequent given that there was only one other group besides mine. I love the traditional Indian music playing in the background - really adds to the ambiance! Overall, this was a solid experience and would visit again during their buffet deal.

Paneer Tikka Masala to go (very tasty, don't forget to add rice)

Everest Curry on Broadway is a good spot for delicious AND vegetarian friendly curries! My favorites are the excellent vegetarian paneer tikka masala and the vegetarian coconut curry. I can attest that both take out and dine in are reliable options, though I'll say dining in is a relaxing experience with polite and attentive staff, and I would recommend it. There's a whole page of veggie options, but I did not ask which were vegan. I would hazard a guess that vegan mods are available, and the samosas are likely vegan. I recommend the veggie samosas too. They're filled with savory goodness. The veggie samosas and paneer (a soft, mild cubed cheese and solid substitute for meat in Indian dishes, highly recommend) tikka masala are my favorite items on the menu. I am not a huge fan of having to purchase rice separately for the curries. Make sure you don't forget, though for dine in they'll probably ask if you would like to order some. We have definitely forgotten to add it to our take out order and have had to make our own rice instead, oops. Prices are a little steep due to this, in my opinion. Naan is also an add on, and two people who are hungry might need to order two orders of it. Personally, I think their regular and garlic naan are good, but not great. Curries and samosas are where they shine. I am very pleased with the quality of service here, and there's never been a long wait for food. There is unmetered street parking only, and alas, I have no bathroom update to report (yet). I recommend stopping in for some Indian-Nepalese food at Everest Curry. It's hard to stay away even when it's warm outside! PS! There is a lunch buffet from 11:30-1:30 (ish, I may be off 15 minutes or so as I didn't take a pic of the sign on my last visit oops again bad yelper) but we've yet to try it.

Wow, I'm so apologetic to have to lower my score, but I have to update y'all. My husband and I picked up to-go from Everest tonight because we were craving Indian food. We were so disappointed. There was no flavor in the tikka masala or the chana saag. It's changed for the worse. We ordered through GrubHub and didn't notice it doesn't give you a spicy level option so our food was bland. We usually order through Everest's website and they provide a spicy level option. If you're going to try this spot, only order from their website; that was our mistake. What wasn't our mistake is the lack of flavor in nearly every dish. The rice, garlic basil naan, and chutneys had no flavor. The mint cilantro chutney was the worst; it wasn't anything like it used to be. It's now milky and watery. Yuck. Two stars for the appetizers being nice and crispy, and two stars for the pleasant pick up experience. That's all. I'd love to try Everest again, but only if they go back to how they were when they opened.

Veggie Samosas with tamarind chutney and mint dipping sauce. 10/10!!!

The service was great & the food was fresh and flavorful! This is my new go-to Indian dinner spot!!! We loved everything we ordered and will try opti ok ns next time! They are under new management and we will be back to try more! New owners are so gracious and provided great service!

When I called ahead and asked about the buffet, an employee responded immediately. Didn't keep me on hold. The lunch buffet is weekdays, from 11:00 am until 2:30 pm. It's $21.70. It's traditional Indian cuisine which includes Butter Chicken and Tandoori Chicken but also has unique dishes such as Goat Curry and papadum. The vegetarian Korma was good. It's green peas, green beans, red bell peppers and potatoes in a cream sauce. Masala chai tea is included with the buffet. Similar to the old Curry Club, they give you a choice of original or garlic naan. The hostess told me to sit anywhere I liked. This new restaurant is worth a repeat visit.

Great food, service, and ambiance. The samosas were really good too. I would come back.

Best momo in Sacramento region. I came here with my family a little before noon, to order momos but after our arrival, we found out that there's buffet lunch. We still ordered a plate of momo and we did buffet. Delicious foods, soothing vibes and Courteous staff. We enjoyed our lunch here. I highly recommend this place for everyone to come and try it out.

Vegetarian sampler

This place had been on my Sacramento to try list and I was not disappointed! First things first, the spices in the lamb curry can't be beat. The mix from the vegetable sampler order, the lamb curry plate, and a side of roti was more than enough for the two of us and it gave a great introduction into North Indian / Nepalese food. We didn't leave a grain of rice or drop of sauce on the plate. Their wine/beer menu is in the works but the potential pairings look excellent. Don't sell yourself short and give this place a try! This place is equally enjoyable to sit, eat, and dine in OR make an order to go and enjoy at home in cozies. Looking forward to my next visit, cheers.

Butter Chicken Thali
Tiffany W.

It was really good! Service was solid, they were attentive and checked up on us throughout our meal. The garlic basil naan was pretty good, I'm glad that we got it to pair with our curries. I tried thali for the first time but I think I'm a simple girl so will just do rice and naan with my curry in the future. The thali was very interesting, but I did like the middle curry looking one because it had paneer and potatoes. The butter chicken was good! I only get butter chicken curry but wanted to try something else as well. My friend got the coconut chicken curry; it was okay. Nothing super crazy, still really good though! It just paled in comparison to the butter chicken that that's just my personal preference speaking.

Amit answered the phone and that conversation ended my stress! Amit took the order I made with the other restaurant, gave me a quote and 15 hours later he was setting up our buffet for 40 people. So many times as customers we have to choose between the food we love and the customer service we want. At Bombay Bar and Grill you don't have to make that choice. Amit was a great partner and eased my stress and literally delivered in every way possible. Amit was so professional, warm and responsive to our every need when he fulfilled and delivered our delicious food. The butter chicken disappeared into thin air, the naan was super fresh, soft and warm. The chana and samosa were savory and hit the spot! Even the chai was hot with the best blend of spices! I can't wait to come in and actually sit down and have a dinner with Bombay. Until then, all my gratitude to Amit and the full staff there. See you all soon. PS if you need catering, call now! The pakoras were good as well and it came with a green sauce that had a good kick to it, however the pakoras did seem a little overcooked, almost like they may have been left in too long. My main critique would be the portion size. For about $20, the paneer came in a pretty small container. Usually, my husband and I can share a dish like that at other restaurants and feel full, but this one didn't quite hit the mark for the price. If you want a bang for your buck, this may not be the spot to go. Ambiance: small, cozy spot Service: server was nice and friendly Overall, this place has a lot of potential--just a few minor things here and there. On a weekday night after work this was a cinch. I confirmed the Veggie Momos were in fact vegan (believe it or not lots of places sadly put dairy in them) and yes they are. Hooray! But why stop there? Our friendly server helped me navigate the other vegan items (there are several) so we also ordered some Veggie Pakora, Began Bartha, and Mushroom Masala to share. No surprise for me, the Veggie Momos were the star of the meal and had a tasty dipping sauce. Everything else was also good and had plenty of favor. I would definitely come back for more.

Chat Bistro is a newer restaurant to me and it had 4.5 stars so it got my attention. I looked at some of the other restaurants and they had less starts on yelp so this was going to be our new favorite. As it turns out I parked right behind the restaurant. The parking lot was busy, but not so much that I couldn't find a close space. I didn't see any disabled parking as I walked to the front of the restaurant. There may have been disabled parking on the other side of the restaurant. The restaurant was pretty cool, even in the summer and it was 97 out at July 9, 2026. My girlfriend wore a short over her tank top which was a great idea. I wish I had brought a light jacket. I was a bit taken back when I entered the restaurant that it wasn't a sit down place. I was hoping for a sit down restaurant. When I arrived one couple was sitting outside in there fenced off seating area. And there was a large party indoors just finishing up and ordering some extra food to go. They had so many empty dishes on their tables. I was happy surprised that there were so many empty tabes. I didn't think ahead with the worry that they would be packed as we were coming at the dinner hour, 5:30pm on a Thursday. We ordered at the front counter by choosing our dishes off the menu overhead. We paid and then they brought us our food and drinks. They didn't give us a number or buzzer. It was really nice. Lychee Shake- Perfect flavor and texture. It was a slush drink that tasted very much like Lychee. I'm a huge Lychee fan and even have fresh Lychees in my fridge so I was very satisfied. $4.99 Iced Rooh-Afza- Not my favorite, it tased like roses. It was the consistency of an iced tea type drink. Not a slush. $3.99 Butter Chicken: Boneless tandoori chicken, simmered in a mild tomato cream sauce infused with cinnamon, cloves, cardamon, and bay leaves. $17.99- good, but not great. It wasn't the favorite Butter Chicken I've ever had, but not bad either. Chicken BIryani: Seasoned basmati rice and chicken served with Riata $15.99 We ordered mild and it had a little spice to it, which was good. The Riata was a good plus to it and took it down to mild. It was good, but there was too much chicken and not enough rice. You sure did get your money's worth with the amount of Chicken they put in it. Naan- Very fresh and came with the Butte Chicken. The best party of dinner was sharing it with a long time friend of mine. The food was just an excuse to get together. Would I go back, sure it wasn't bad and maybe other dishes will be more my thing. The Lychees slush was really good. I usually don't order drinks, but my girlfriend suggested it and I couldn't turn it down.
