L1. Papaya Salad Deluxe & A1. Chaba Spring Rolls
    Nancy C.

Stopped in for takeout while craving Thai and ordered the Pad Kee Mao, papaya salad, and egg rolls. While waiting at the bar, the bartender mentioned that the Pad Kee Mao is one of their signature dishes and is made with thin pho noodles instead of the traditional wide noodles, which I was excited to try. The takeout presentation was well done, and everything held up nicely by the time I got back to my hotel (just a short drive away). The Pad Kee Mao had good flavor and didn't disappoint, though it was a bit drier than I prefer. The papaya salad and egg rolls were both fresh and enjoyable. Service was friendly, and the dining area appeared clean and inviting. I'd return and would simply request extra sauce next time. Looking forward to trying more from their menu.

Friendly staff and great food. Happy Hour menu offers a good value. Had never had fish tofu before & glad I tried it. Pineapple curry was excellent. Interior is due for a little updating but food is really good.

Pretty good food but the restaurant needs some updating/repairs This was the first restaurant I've been to in beaumont and, with it being a chilly night, I decided that soup or curry would be the best option (or both!) Food: We ordered several dishes. The fried dumplings were good. Not the most flavorful but you can't go wrong with dumplings. I did notice some of the appetizers (like the spring rolls and steamed dumplings) were different at this restaurant than any other Thai one I've been too so definitely read the descriptions. We also ordered the typhoon soup. It was a bit spicy for my taste but good. My mom loved it ! The green curry with tofu was amazing ! Definitely the best dosh of the night. The eggplant was ok. The sauce flavor didn't seem to fit with the eggplant. Drinks: The Thai tea was delicious ! And a huge cup too! Definitely the right choice There were 2 flavors of hot tea which were just teabags. Also the water smelled like sink water/not fresh. Definitely wouldn't recommend Parking: It's in a shopping center so there's tons of parking. We went on a Saturday night and the lot was pretty open. Design/interior: The inside is pretty dated. We were sitting in one of the booths and the vinyl bench seats were very warn/ripped. They also had pretty much no cushion. There also was a bathroom-y smell right when you walk in but that was only right at the front. It didn't bother our eating experience at the booth They do also have happy hour for drinks and appetizers. They also have a drink list with wine and cocktails as well as a full bar.

    Glass in my food

I used to love this place but there was a piece of glass in my food, looks like it came from a plate or something. I chomped down on it very hard on my teeth, I could've swallowed it.

Chaba Pad Kee Mao with a side of peanut sauce soooo delicious! You've got to try it!

This place is the best Thai food in Beaumont and probably the best I've ever eaten so far. The food is always consistent, hot, fresh, and good every time we've been here. The Panang curry, Drunkin noodle, Cashew nut, Chaba fried rice are just a few of my favorites. I'm absolute go to is the Chaba Pad Kee Mao soooo delicious and even better with a side of their homemade peanut sauce. Yes you heard that right.....peanut sauce! You've got to try this you won't be disappointed!

    Chicken pad thai

My chicken pad thai was not good at all. I asked for extra seasoning to no avail. My husband had the sweet and sour. He liked the taste of it and the steamed dumplings. Our service Annie did not notice or acknowledge that my food was not eaten. Either her social cues are off or she just didn't care. The mojito and plum wine were both awesome! IF I return, it will only be for the drinks. This was our first visit here and I must say I'm not impressed. Oh, and the water stained ceilings ugh...

    Pad Kee Mao

Came here based on a recommendation last night. To my delight I learned that they had happy hour so I indulged myself with some hot sake and a bottle of Sapporo. During happy hours, there was a list of appetizers for $3 so I decided to try one of the orders. I first asked the waitress if the gyoza was made in house and she seemed to be taken aback by my question. From what I gathered it did not seem like the gyozas were made in house so I instead went and ordered "spring rolls". While enjoying my beverage, I ordered the Pad Kee Mao and the waitress said that it would be spicy and so I went ahead and ordered it. To my dismay, when the spring rolls arrived... what I actually received was 3 egg rolls instead. If I knew that I wouldn't have ordered it at all. On to the taste of the spring roll, it was crunchy with what seemed like a nice filled egg roll. The sauce was tasteless but the egg roll by itself was good. When the entree arrived, I was looking forward to it as the person that recommended the place to me said I should order this dish. To my disappointment, the dish had zero kick in heat and was overall pretty salty. The shrimps were tiny and the vegetables were cut unevenly. There were maybe a couple few piece of broccoli in it as well. The portion size was big and I was definitely full after finishing my meal. Overall the food was nothing special and everything was just okay.

    Calamari
    Alyssa R.

It was decent. We got three different dishes. The prik king was by far the tastiest although it could have used more vegetables. It was all green beans with the sauce (and whatever meat you choose). The calamari was adequate. The drunken noodle could have used a lot more flavor but still had decent enough broth. The shrimp fried rice was without flavor, which was disappointing. Although, the staff took precautionary measures for health and safety during these times. The parking lot is large as it shares a lot with several other businesses so you shouldn't have trouble finding a spot. I encourage all to not dine in places if you can avoid it as the safest is being home.

Arrival was entirely seamless with easy parking available right outside. Stepping inside, the venue presents a modest, understated decor rather than a lavish setting yet it is impeccably clean, wonderfully inviting, and exudes a genuinely warm atmosphere that immediately makes one feel right at home. We were settled into a cozy, private section that offered a perfectly comfortable setting for a relaxed luncheon. The hospitality was top-tier from the moment we arrived attentive, remarkably gracious, and thoroughly professional. To begin, my assistant and I ordered two Thai Iced Teas, which arrived crisp, delightfully smooth, and mixed to absolute perfection. Our lovely waitress spoke so highly of their signature Pho that we simply had to try it. When the bowls arrived, they were an absolute triumph! Piping hot, deeply comforting, and rich with authentic, exquisitely balanced flavors that far exceeded our expectations. While the aesthetic is delightfully simple, the spotless environment, endearing service, and magnificent cuisine make Basil House a true standout. Five stars for an utterly delightful meal I shall most certainly be returning whenever business brings me back through the area

A great little spot to stop when you're ready for a delicious Thai meal that really hits the spot!…read more I was passing through and had never tried The Garden Thai before, but I'm so glad I did. Thai is my favorite food, so I can be a little picky--it can definitely be hit or miss for me--but this place was a HIT. The Pad Thai was exceptional: flavorful, fresh, and perfectly balanced without being overly salty or sweet, which can sometimes happen with Pad Thai. The fresh spring rolls were delicious, and the Tom Yum soup was absolutely perfect. And I have to mention the service because it makes such a difference! A great attitude from the staff can completely change the vibe of a restaurant, and everyone here was attentive, welcoming, and very well trained. It made the entire experience that much better. Thank you for the delicious food and wonderful service! My visit was actually a while ago, but I'm finally taking the time to catch up on my reviews, haha--and this was definitely one I wanted to come back and write. Highly recommend!

I liked the relaxed atmosphere. I wanted to try sitting outside but it was too windy and there was dust and leaves and crap blowing around. The water tasted good, which is very rare for restaurants these days! Of course they served it in old plastic cups, though. They include the tax when 'recommending' a tip amount (of 20, 22 or 25%!) - um, that's a bit sketchy, guys.... So is not having the prices on the menu - it came to over $50 for two dishes and one drink.

Ambiance (3.5/5): Thai Stellar is a small but nice restaurant. We were seated at a booth. I love a good both, and that is what most of the seating consists of at this Thai restaurant. Service (4.5/5): Overall, the service was quite good. Efficient and attentive. Two of the main things I look for. Drinks (3.5/5): I ended up going with an orange soda, because the da chanh, fresh lemonade, was quite pricey. I couldn't justify it. Food (4/5): I went with the combination pad see ew which comes with chicken, beef, and pork. Pad see ew is my favorite Thai dish and it is done at a high level here. The noodles are perfection. The sauce is perfection. And there's a good amount of meat. It's a little pricey though I get that you're getting three meats. That seems to be the trend at Thai Stellar. We stayed away from the satay appetizer for the same reason and opted for the more affordable egg rolls (2). Which were crispy and complimented nicely by some sweet chili sauce. Overall, excellent food. Just more than you would expect to pay at a neighborhood restaurant in the suburbs.
