In town visiting in-laws and they recommend chabelo's for the decent food portions and swift seating. Waitresses was tentative and kept our table of 9 happy. The salsa was very smooth no chunks or lumps served with no salt chips. I had the birria qeso it was ok has some heat with it too. No rice or beans served with it must be ordered as a side unfortunately but I did not leave hungry. read more

Went here because of rave reviews from family, was very let down. Ordered $14 ramen birria to have a little twist on quesabirria. I did not expect top notch ramen as this is a Mexican place, but I definitely did not expect the $2 microwave tapatio ramen with a side of 2x 3in birria tacos. They also were having issues with the music causing it to pause then come back a blow the speakers due to it being so loud. The only reason this isn't a 1 star review is that the waitress was friendly and my party enjoyed their carne asada. read more

The food is always great here. My favorites are the birria tacos without a doubt and next up would be the platter that comes with fajita chicken, fajita beef, sausage, shrimp, etc. I can't remember the exact name but it is delicious and enough to feed two or maybe even three! Slow or no service despite plenty of staff around. What seemed to be the Manager stood nearby talking to a staff member in what seemed a casual conversation while never acknowledging the multiple people at our table with no drink, empty chips n salsa and no entrees for almost 40 minutes. The @1 was the best Tex-Mex I've eaten in a very long time. The staff and the service was amazing. Very chill and relaxing atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. Enjoyed getting to visit downtown Paris again, it's at a pretty awesome location. Seriously, I recommend the #1 on the menu to anyone - good food, great price, friendly service. Went last night after mannequin night. Worst ever. Stood in front of the...supposed hostess station forever. Finally had someone deign to acknowledge us. Seated finally, and we're disregarded for a long time. Ordered food, sucked ass! Birria, their clain to fame, gross. Couldn't eat the dog food they served as a beef taco for a child's meal. Our usual place was full so we went here instead. Drinks from the bar are very weak. The food was bland, small portions. No rice or beans with plate. Chips were the blandest, hardest no taste nachos I've ever had. Waitress came once after the food and that was it. If I had the option to not select a star for a rating, I would definitely do so. My family and I came in today AN HOUR IN A HALF before closing. The staff saw 2 people and just assumed it was the two of us until we corrected them to 7. As soon as the server was told she would be serving a table of 7, the service was crap. There was no sense of urgency and no initiative. It took us until right at 4:00, closing time, to get our food because they were too busy on trying to get out of there than take care of the ONLY table in that room that most likely could have already been out before 4:00 if the server actually wanted to make money. Jessica, the server who was CLEARLY incompetent on doing her job, had the worst attitude I have ever encountered. When she took our order, she had to ask at least five times about a bean burrito as if she didn't have a clue what that is. We were charged $1.00 for EXTRA LIMES that weren't even cut correctly. When we asked to have the bean burrito removed from the ticket she asked why and we told her it was disgusting but that wasn't a very good answer for her as she continued to asked "but what was wrong with it" and so we had to tell her that it tasted like a rubber and that it's pretty hard to mess up a bean burrito in order to get it through her right mind that the food was terrible. Took 10 years for refills, for someone to come check to see if we were good after receiving our order, and took even longer to get to go boxes that we had to get up and get them ourselves. If you can't even make something as simple as a bean burrito AND you have crappy service. Good luck Chuck. You won't be around that long. I will most certainly not be back. read more
