We booked the Sunday chowder cruise on a whim, turned out to be a great decision. The family that runs the cruise was very nice and did a great job tending to the passengers. The on-board bar service was very reasonable and the glass of wine was a nice size. The food was very good and set up as buffet style. The bay area is small and two hours is the perfect amount of time. You can eat your meal and not feel like you missed anything. A very pleasant experience. read more

The cruise/brunch was actually a lot of fun. BUT... the food & service was overall not that impressive. We had a choice of waffles, apple sausage, chicken, lasagna, omelets made to order, poached egg on muffin - all not that amazing. (They never brought out the waffle I ordered.) I found my group had to go out of our way to seek a waiter's help, or follow up on things ordered. My advice: you want to take this cruise for the fact of getting on a boat to dine - not necessarily for the actual "food, drink, or service experience." I might do it again, but it would be with somebody maybe that hadn't experienced yet. read more

We had a group of 14 do the chowder cruise. Annie and her crew, as always do an outstanding job. The chowder I feel is the best chowder here on the central coast which I'm blessed to live in. The food is great, the service..impeccable! And then, there's the 2 hr. Cruise to boot. It's always wonderful to cruise the bay and see from the other side. Cool experience. Food was not good. You have to serve yourself, except for the omelette and waffle station (which they only make 1 at a time and it takes FOREVER). Over an hour to get a small omelette. As soon as you get a chance make your way to the top deck for awesome views. Good at refilling your mimosa. Worth $45? No way! read more

Friendly staff and the food was decent. However, it took way too long (we didn't get this particular food until a half hr before the cruise was coming to an end) to get our waffles (as well as some other people's orders) and they ran out of food too quickly. If you're paying for brunch, you should be able to get seconds without having to worry if the food is going to run out. Other than that, the two-hour cruise around Morro Bay and Morro Rock was nice and relaxing. We're going to try a different cruise company the next time we're out here in Morro Bay. read more

Went out with Chablis Cruises for the first time yesterday. I went with my niece for the brunch cruise. We were both SO impressed! When we got there we were greeted enthusiastically and welcomed aboard. We had reservations so as we boarded the boat we were escorted to our assigned table. We were offered drinks right away. After the other passengers boarded there was a brief safey presentation and then they asked if anyone was celebrating anything. The woman next to me was with her family celebrating her 80th birthday and we were all invited to sing happy birthday to her. After we pulled away from the dock they started the food portion. There were custom omelets, waffles, sausage, scalloped potatoes, tortellini, biscuits and gravy, salad, pastries and brownies. (I may be forgetting something but it was all very fresh and delicious.) The interior where we were seated is surrounded by windows so you can easily enjoy the views while eating. After we finished our meal we went up top and took in the beautiful sights of Morro Bay Harbor for the remainder of the trip. Payment was processed at the end of the cruise. The boat itself was very solid. If you are prone to motion sickness I do not think you would have any problem. I couldn't feel any swaying of the boat. It was a very smooth ride. The whole experience was excellent and we look forward to going back soon and bringing more family and friends with us. Our SLO Newcomers" Group enjoyed a private Chablis Chowder cruise luncheon yesterday...all 60+ of us. We had a wonderful time, the food was outstanding, especially the home-made chowder. I'd love to have the recipe!! The food was delicious, we enjoyed being upstairs on deck sailing the bay watching seals, otters, sea birds. Our food was served upstairs on deck and downstairs inside efficiently and was it ever good!! This is a fun, relaxing way to spend two hours touring Morro Bay. You see kayakers, paddleboarders, sailboats, fishing boats, otters, sea lions and the town of Morro Bay from a completely different view. The crew is very friendly and the food is good. We took our young grandsons on the chowder cruise and had an enjoyable time. The captain came by our table before the cruise and talked with the kids and then later answered questions that they had. The owner even took time to explain things in the wheelhouse and answer the boys questions. The food was good and the boys saw a lot of seals and otters. read more

The Chowder Cruise is most enjoyable, had a discount, but well worth it at any price. 2 hours leisurely sailing along the Morro Bay inlet, otters playing, sea lions lounging, waving to people on the Embarcadero. The chowder is very creamy, everyone came back for more until it ran out, plenty of crescent sandwiches and the salad was crisp and fresh. Drinks were great and the staff are very pleasant and accommodating. Makes for a lovely Sunday outing. I have foreign guests coming in August and this will definitely be on the agenda then. read more

We took a chance and booked this for 6/28/14 to celebrate our friends' wedding anniversary. The price, including tip, was about $55 per person and worth every penny of it. There was a more than ample breakfast buffet including and a cooked-to-order omelet. (It's small so don't be afraid to order it in addition to all of the other food that is served.) If you are vegetarian, there is still plenty of food for you. The service was top notch and didn't end until the boat was docked. There was plenty of champagne, OJ, mimosas, and coffee, depending on your preference. Brunch was served downstairs in a quaint dining room and then we had the option of going to the upper, outdoor deck where there was additional seating. We did not order any additional beverages, but from what I could see, those were also well executed. Even the restrooms were great. As with the other reviewer, everything far exceeded our expectations. The only reason that I'm not giving this experience five stars is that, well, it's not the Queen Mary! We will certainly repeat this experience. read more

After the amazing hospitality, experience, staff, food, and facility, we would very happily pay full price for another tour. We too (10 of us) had the chowder cruise on Sunda 4/15. Nice lunch, good drinks (they let us bring our own wine for a reasonable corkage fee). Others enjoyed wine, bloody mary, and draft beer. Good views as we cruised the area. It is a vintage boat but great time--great staff and views. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed the Clam Chowder tour with My daughter and her fiance. We were welcomed aboard with smiles and assigned seating. The ship was very clean including the bathroom. The bar service was spot on! It was a buffet lunch with delicious clam chowder, turkey sandwich and salad. I liked how they sent one table at a time to the buffet. After lunch there was plenty of time to go up to the top deck although not necessary to enjoy the cruise because the ship has large windows. It was really nice to see how large the harbor is because you can't see all of it from the Embarcadero area. I recommend this trip for a relaxing day. read more

This review is for the 1940s USO musical review dinner cruise. The concept was great but poorly executed. The entertainers, consisting of a guy on an electric keyboard and a handful of singers probably found themselves entertaining but we did not. The costuming was second rate and the vocals unimpressive although there were over 20 songs included in the program. The food was, as one of our party remarked, "institutional". Think of it as a bad cross between hospital and airline food. We played "guess what the sauce is on the meat" and concluded it might have been a lame attempt at teriyaki but no one was sure. The salad consisted of just enough lettuce to claim there was some on the plate. The bar offerings were OK but we were not sure what we paid since they presented only the total bar bill for our entire party and it was not itemized. The best part of the evening was sitting up top before dinner watching the sea otters and informally talking to the captain who declared that Morro Bay was "second most dangerous west coast harbor but if some more people would die we could be number one". That was the funniest, most entertaining part of the night. I understand from others that brunch and chowder cruises have ben fine. This was definitely not. The last time I wanted off a boat that badly I was severely sea sick. read more

Best little cruise around SLO county the staff is so nice and the chowder was BEST I've ever had. I asked if they would sell it but they don't . i was very impressed by the way that the staff handled everything. they kept coming to our table to make sure that all was going well with our group. our glasses were kept filled , the food was good . the only thing that i wish that had been different is that we could have gone out from the bay. how many times can you go around in 2 hours? but i know that there must be some regulations about going beyond this point. everyone was very friendly and we also met a few others that were also on the cruise that were very nice. you do get to see the bay from a different prospective. i also liked that this was a woman owned business. read more

I can not say enough good things about our experience. The facility was amazing- the ship was very comfortable, the staff was crazy efficient/ attentive/ friendly, the food was all amazingly good, and the heads were the nicest, biggest, and cleanest ones that I've ever seen on this type of ship( I know, but I did notice, and so did my husband). I know that they can't control the weather, but it was nicer than some brunch cruises that we've taken in August. We will be back, and personally recommending this company. read more

This is our favorite thing to do when we come to Morro Bay. It is a relaxing time and we get to eat delicious food. We've come every year for 14 years for our anniversary, and for the last few we've always taken this cruise. Annie and her staff are incredible, friendly, and knowledgeable about the bay and the area. The food is great. I'm really not into breakfast foods(omelets, waffles, etc.) but my husband is, and their omelets look incredible! But the side stuff is wonderful! Her scalloped potatoes are the bomb, and I always look forward to them. And the fruit, salad, pastry, rolls, quiche really fill me up. Mimosas are bottomless.
