What a gem! I sat by the window overlooking Morro Rock for high tea and had a beautiful view. I saw a sea lion playing in the water while live music played outside. Perfect, not too loud. Live music on Thursday nights. The ambiance is casual and friendly. - Tammy served a multi-course tea service. Loose-leaf tea options are served in a kettle using a metal strainer and kept hot with a knitted teapot cozy cover. The opening dish was an Italian Sausage and Potato soup and it was delicious. Served on a traditional tea tower, the tea sandwiches were egg salad, cucumber and cream cheese with ham and strawberry's and cream on cinnamon bread. I also was served a banana muffin with clotted cream, an Angel food cake and fresh cut fruit. - Thank you to Nancy for being such a kind hostess and for offering this tea service with honored dietary restrictions such as dairy-free. I can't say enough about how perfect this spot is. Sitting directly on the water, it's the perfect spot to grab a glass of wine and listen to some beautiful music. The kitchen was closed when we came in, but you can bet your bottom dollar we'll be back again to try the food! read more

Back in Morro Bay for a few days and had to stop by the Savory Palette. Nancy and Tammy are still there, bringing the same level of hospitality that keeps us coming back. They are so welcoming and friendly! They had live music (our fave) and the place fills up with locals that we recognized from our two previous trips. Love that they host and support local artists. Nancy works the bar and always has the best wine recommendations, and Tammy whips up delicious plates - we had already had dinner but I did try a delicious chocolate cupcake with cream cheese frosting that was to die for. Came in here as a solo traveler and walked out with friends As soon as I came in Nancy was a doll! She and her wife Tammy own and run the business. Nancy is such a good conversationalist and I sat at the bar. She walked me through the menu and helped me pick an amazing Chardonnay. Hands down best Chardonnay I've had. You could tell Tammy and Nancy love their business and customers. I ordered the grilled cheese with a side of creamy tomato tortellini soup!! Genuinely the best soup I've ever had. I slowly enjoyed it with my Chardonnay. I then wasn't done enjoying the environment but was usual cap at one glass of wine. Nancy shared they offer a nice selection of teas and I was so happy. I ordered an immune booster tea. Tammy was cooking up some cupcakes and I knew I had to have one based on smell alone. The cupcake was not too sweet and the almond glaze was heaven. Wow is all I can say! This little quaint wine bar is unbelievable. Everything is freshly made and they pair the wine to the food. The ambience fit the food and environment perfectly. They change the menu almost daily. The view is spectacular. You get to enjoy the beautiful bay and marine life. On the weekends they have a variety of live music. The place is a semi open space yet have a cozy feel. This wonderful gem is a must! The grilled cheese was grilled to perfection with three different cheeses and a tomato basil soup. We also ordered a peach goat cheese with prosciutto and other yummy flavors. We topped it off with a chocolate chip and lemon pound cake all homemade. All four of us loved everything. We were in Morro Bay to visit friends and decided we needed a nosh before dinner. A quick search on Yelp led us to The Savory Palette. We found a window table with a fantastic view of the famous rock. Coincidentally we got there just as Ray Jaurique and the Uptown Brothers band were setting up. We ordered a Curry Chicken sausage and vegetable plate and a "The Frenchie" cheese plate. One of the owners suggested a bottle of Beckmans Syrah. The wine was an excellent choice. Smooth, rich and fruity. The perfect pairing with the food. The band was an unexpected surprise and we have become fans. The Savory Palette will be a regular stop when we are in Morro Bay. read more

I recently ordered a charcuterie to go for 2 people. It was amazing and very fairly priced. It was so good and the lovely ladies running the establishment were so amazing I placed a pick up order for a Friendsgiving Party I was going to a couple of days later. I was able to set up a pick up time for it. It was ready on time and they ever assisted me to load everything into the car. At the party it was a big hit! So much so that I'm planning to get another for a party I'm throwing for Thanksgiving day this coming week. You can also have in there, often listen to live music and enjoy some wine or beer. It can be a smidge difficult to find but it is well worth the effort I assure you. ( from the street go into the downstairs galleries and all the way through to the back). Such an excellent wine bar with a well curated selection of local wines. The owners, Nancy & Tammy are super friendly and very knowledgeable about the products they serve. They have several great outdoor tables that look out over the small harbor and, of course, Moro Rock :-) as well as a nice indoor space with large windows and a bandstand. We do a lot of wine tasting ( and drinking) and this place has a great vibe and attitude, we're really glad we found it. They also offer a great little selection of foods from cheese and meat plates to flatbreads and a few other original dishes :-) it's become our "go-to" place when visiting Moro Bay. read more

The Frenchie is one of my favorite sandwiches of all time. They usually mix it up and have some different cheese boards and the bbq flat bread is to die for. Came today right at opening. Beautiful view of the sunset and Morro Bay. The ladies who run it are so kind and welcoming! We chose to sit inside because it was a little chilly but the views were great. They offer 6 wines each day. When I mentioned that we like big bold Zins, Nancy pulled out a good Zin that was not listed because she only had a couple bottles left. The small cheese and sausage plate was perfect for a light dinner. The triple Brie and pomegranate jalapeño jelly was so good. There was a small band setting up as we left.
