A5 Golden Bags

Chada Thai has delicious Thai food and is a very clean place to have dinner at. The portion sizes are big for the price as well. We had the golden bags for our appetizer. The drunken noodles are a staple and the tom kha soup was so creamy and not too sour. Service is quick too so this is a great spot in my book!

I am a big supporter of Chada Thai however; we're disappointed during this visit. Looks like they remodeled place with new wall colors and new table setups. New looking menu however the dishes on the menu is still the same and the price can't be beat! The Pad Thai (4/5) is good but it's on the sweet and wet side. It's fusion so don't expect traditional flavor. We still like it! :-) I was craving for Papaya salad (3/5) so that's what we came here for and that's what we ordered. The ingredients in this dish was very fresh but it lacked the Thai flavor I was looking for; I think I was looking for the pungent fish sauce flavor which I sadly did not get from this dish. Chicken wings (3/5) was crispy. Dry type of wings but still juicy on the inside once you bite into the dry exterior. The wings were tossed in a flavorful salt and pepper type of mix. It comes with sweet and sour dipping sauce which I did not care much for; however given the wings are dry, it needs this dip to balance the dish. It's hard to find Khao Soi (3/5) here in texas so when I saw this on the menu, I was very excited. The dish came out looking amazing, unfortunately the flavor did not live up to its first impression. The Khao Soi I'm used to typically comes with pickled greens but the Khao Soi here did not have it. The broth was also lacking the fish sauce umami flavor. I really want to keep coming here but at this rate, I'm going to have to try other Thai restos in the area. Props to Chada for keeping the price low despite the current high cost and economic condition. Take my review with the grain of salt; I would still encourage you to visit Chada and try it out for yourself.

C2 Masman Curry

Came here and ordered for pick up. I love curry and usually just get the same thing everywhere I go. First off. Service was great. Friendly and helpful. Can't speak of the actual restaurant as I just waited in the front. I got the curry and wings. Curry was good, a little different than I am used to but it wasn't exactly "Red Curry". The rice was pretty dry but edible. The wings were tasty but super dry, whatever the rub or seasoning they use is bomb. If I was to go back I'm sure I'd just stick to the curry. Anyway for the most part pretty good.

This is our favorite Thai restaurant- we have been fans for 10 years, now. The quality and taste of the food has never wavered. This is truly the most flavorful Thai food in the Austin metro. The service is always fast and friendly! Great ambiance; they have recently remodeled.

My review is just for the house fried rice and Tom Kha soup. I'm usually a regular at Thai Lada but decided to branch out a bit for dinner this evening. The house fried rice was pretty underwhelming. Almost no color to it, very few veggies (almost thought I had mistakenly ordered the basil fried rice) and very bland. Thankfully I had a side of pepper oil and it added a bit of much needed flavor. The only pro is for the price it was a fairly large serving, and I'll have plenty for more meals during the week. Overall:3/5 The Tom Kha soup was pretty good, and portion size very satisfying even for the smallest option. Nothing too out of the norm here, just standard tasty soup. Overall: 4/5 Would I order food from here again? Eh, I think I've had better at other Thai places in the Austin area. I'll maybe give this place another try with some of their curries next. Flavor: 3.5/5 Price: 3.5/5 Value: 3/5

May I take your order?

I've been coming here since it opened, and I've always been impressed by the consistency and prices. The staff is always very friendly and efficient. The register is one of those fancy computers that emails the receipt...so you can be ecologically friendly, keeping the liberals happy. There are different levels of spice that you can order...everything from bland to the kind of spice that burns you twice.

Great Thai food location by a large movie theater. We ordered the pad Thai and crab fried rice and both were great! The flavors at this restaurant are different from most Thai places and I really enjoy it. I wouldn't say the flavors are like what we had experienced in Thailand but much better than the typical Thai food you get. This is our new local Thai go to! Restaurant is small but nice, wait staff is super friendly and they have great take out! Overall highly recommend!

I was really excited to see they had khao soi gai which I really like and find it hard to find. Theirs was tasty with a rich and pretty reasonably priced. We also had a Tom Yum which was very tangy with strong lemongrass flavor and my partner had the Pad Kee Mao which was also good. The ambience is casual and I think this is a great spot for Thai food in the Cedae Park area.

I literally can't say that there's one thing I don't like getting here. Sometimes we wanna keep it simple and we literally just get the pad Thai with chicken. We always ask for extra peanuts and extra lime which just puts it over the top for us. Tom kha soup is always wonderful on a cold day and the Thai tea here is unbeatable. They have regular portions and lunch portions for several popular items which is great if you do come for lunch, you also get a side salad and a tad smaller portion. It's perfect because it's still very filling and it saves you a little bit of money if you're looking for great Thai food on your own or to take someone to have , please come here. The restaurant isn't very big and seating gets crowded when it's packed but most days the turnover is pretty fast and the wait is never long. It's is not very loud for how small a space it is which is a plus.

It has been one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants-and one of the only places to serve the Vietnamese pancake that I love. I sat down, getting ready to contemplate the menu. I was shocked to see it was a brand new menu. I asked my server about it, and he concurred that it is a new menu, but that the owners had taken many of the former choices off. . NO more fried rice-always my grandson's favorite. Although I was disappointed when it was time to order, I chose the Mixed Protein Bun. I requested shrimp and eggrolls. It is a bowl filled with rice noodles, shredded lettuce, cucumbers, shredded carrots, and your choice of protein. It also comes with a generous portion of fish sauce. After one bite, I knew that the old chef must have left. My food was so bland. To start with, I don't think it was salted at all..... which quite often affects the flavors negatively. There were no other spices or sauce or anything tasty in my bowl. I was very disappointed. I didn't even eat a quarter of the Bun. I didn't take the rest to go and I won't be returning, unless I see that they have returned to their former style of cooking. So I'll definitely be watching the reviews. It makes me very sad to have to write a negative review, especially about a place. I have enjoyed so much in the past!!!

Decent Asian food with a wide variety of options, but nothing to write home about!…read more We stopped by on a Saturday night with a large group and were seated right away. The space is sleek and stylish, and service was fast--though all dishes came out at once instead of being spaced out. Heads up: the egg rolls came four per order, despite the menu and server saying two--so clarify when ordering. Of everything we tried, the Singapore Vermicelli Curry Noodles were the standout. I'd skip the Authentic Red Curry--too watery for my taste. TL;DR: Nice ambiance and quick service, but the food's hit or miss. Great for groups, just manage expectations.

Best boat noodle soup in town!…read more There aren't a lot of local Thai restaurants who serve this specific dish. Having traveled to Thailand numerous times in the past, boat noodle soup is one of my absolute favorite Thai dishes. This is one spot that I have consistently returned for their boat noodle soup. I will say though, that I have noticed the quantity of their dishes have gone down a little over the years, which I imagine is to be expected given inflation these days. It's a Thai family-owned restaurant, and the dishes are in my opinion, authentic. Well, at least the boat noodle soup is. I have tried the typical fried noodle dishes here as well (think pad thai, pad see ew etc.) and they are all really delicious. It's one legit Thai restaurant I would highly recommend to friends and family to visit. I came here last week for lunch and saw that they have lunch specials during weekdays. Staff is attentive and accommodating. The interior of the restaurant is clean and inviting. They even had fresh roses at every table, which I thought was a really nice touch. They also have an outdoor patio if you would like to sit outside, overlooking the road. I can't imagine sitting outside now during this summer weather we are having but definitely for cooler months. Parking is easy and free. Go hungry.

By the time we left, every indoor table was taken. While there, we noticed that many orders were takeouts. The restaurant isn't large inside, but there's plenty of outdoor seating. The atmosphere was bright and pleasant. Service was great, but we had at least 3 people who took orders, delivered food, or took care of the check. My biggest problem was that the entrées arrived minutes after the starters... way too soon... and the servers didn't know who got what. My daughter and I both had the lunch special, which is a great deal in my opinion. It cost $15 for a complete meal including a soup and crispy roll to start, then an entrée. The entrées were varied, and included choices of curries, noodles, stir fry dishes, or fried rice, each with a choice of protein (extra charge for seafood) and all with a choice of spice level. The soup was wonderful. It reminded me of when I traveled in Thailand on business years ago. Same for the sauce flavor of the stir fry I ordered. The crispy roll was excellent, and came with a sweet dipping sauce. My daughter ordered the curry with medium spice. She said the spice level was mainly in the sauce, and that hers was a great meal. Beer and wine are reasonably priced. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will return to try other foods. There are plenty of menu choices!
