    Peking duck
    Cam H.

I really wanted to like this place more! But I wasn't impressed with the Peking duck. It was a bit strangely watery...and the skin wasn't crispy nor flavorful enough. The imperial fish, however, was perfectly fried and crispy. Their fish sauce wasn't good enough to pair with the fish. It was bland and therefore leaving the whole experience wanting in taste. The lobster Baos were delicious though! Very flavorful. The Baos were soft. This place is on the pricier end. If I came back, I would try their Com Tam. Very good and attentive staff. Beautiful decor inside. Quite upscale. Plenty of seatings.

When I spotted TJade's, I knew I wanted to try it because I love Asian food. I went there about two months ago, but have been dragging my feet writing this review. It was a midweek lunch so it wasn't crowded at the restaurant. Besides myself, I think there was one table in the back that was occupied. I walked in, and I noticed it was nicely decorated. I don't know what the decor is near the back of the restaurant because I never got that far. They put me at the first table around the wall of the entrance. If you ever dined alone you'll be used to this. They put you in an area where you really can't be seen . The woman who seated me also took my order. An iced tea and the appetizer called three region sampler. It had five different appetizers with three different sauces. The iced tea was brought quickly, and it was just iced tea. Nothing special. It took about 10 - 15 minutes and my appetizer was served. The first I wanted to try was the shrimp on sugarcane. And it tasted like mince shrimp, no sugary taste no other seasonings that I can recognize. It was actually kind of bland. So I moved onto the pork patty skewers. They were tender and they were ground pork. Again, we are talking about no seasoning. I was wondering because a lot of the Asian foods that you eat are well seasoned but this place it was bland. Then I tried the eggrolls which I believe had some of the exact same sausage on it from the skewers. At least it tasted the same again no wow factor. I should state that it came with three different dipping sauces. One was a peanut sauce, one was a sweet chili sauce and the last was a spicy vinaigrette. So when I tried my next round of the same appetizers, I definitely put sauce on it this time, so it made it taste like the sauce flavor This is when I decided to plunge into the pork belly bao. This one was a challenge, and I changed the name to chewy chewy chewy. I took a small bite into it and started chewing five minutes later. I'm still chewing the same small piece. It was rough getting the whole bao finished. The final appetizer was the spring roll with shrimp. I knew better and put the peanut sauce on that and ate it. This was the least offensive one, but still it was kind of dry. During this time while I'm trying to eat it all, the lady who sent me kept coming over to see if I needed anything else +2 other male waiters kept interrupting me to see if they can help me. Someone would say this is good Service I called annoying because I wanted to be left alone . This disgusting appetizer cost me $25. I will never order it again. Actually, I'm pretty sure I am never gonna be here again. And if you check out the reviews, you will find most of them are from out of state with just one to five total reviews done, I find that suspicious.

    Shaken Beef with salad

This was my first time eating here. I wanted to go for quite some time. The menu is pricey. The food portion was smaller for the price. The ambiance is very upscale. The service and staff were wonderful. They are greater than a 4 star, but less than a 5 star. I will return and recommend to others.

We had the orange chicken and shaken beef. The orange chicken reminded me of P.F. Chang's. I would reorder orange chicken again. The avocado ice cream was also very interesting. It taste good and would recommend. As for the shaken beef, the beef was slightly too soft for me. Similar to a pot roast beef tenderloin. I would love if management added a ribeye or angus beef option with the same sauce. It would have been my favorite dish

Broken rice with pork chop and egg quiche

I was super excited to see a Vietnamese restaurant in cedar park. Location great and restaurant very pretty. Menu is very large. What was disappointing was that the menu has several item that was crossed off by a permanent marker, sooo tacky. I ordered their signature dish "broken rice". Owner stopped by and said this is their best dish. To my surprise this was not good. Rice was warm but dried out, like it was days old. The pork chop was almost as thin as a piece of paper. Pork chop was topped with a scallion oil which was fine but the pork chop itself was sooooo greasy. They didn't grill the pork chop as the traditional calls for. They pan fried it with so much it was inedible. If this is their signature dish that they charge almost $20 for I wouldn't want to try the rest of the menu. Service was good and so was the atmosphere hence why I gave it two stars

    Chicken curry
    Simon P.

Wife and I decided to try a new place that's closer to home. I ordered the shaking beef and liked it. Wife got the curry which she didn't like too much. It was lacking in flavors and too liquidity. On top of that the rice was very undercooked, making it hard to eat. Prob won't be coming here much

Service was good. Not many people there but I don't think people have discovered this place yet. My second time to eat at Tjade's and all was yummy! We will be back!

It's such a nice atmosphere. The Viet food here is beautiful and tastes amazing. We've been back several times and highly recommend it.

    Pad Thai

The Pad Thai here is the best in Austin! Super flavorful and reminds me of the mom and pop home cook meals back in Thailand. Highly recommend!

This place is a hidden gem! The food is so delicious. I ordered the beef stew, crab fried rice, oxtail stew, and calamari. All the dishes were super tasty and flavorful. the ambiance was nice and the decor was beautiful in there.

Whole family was pleased and its a lovely restaurant. All the food is very fresh and cooked very well

My friend and I sat next to a faux fireplace, where we were greeted by the only bartender working and placed our order. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it. It is a very relaxed space, but once the speakeasy gimmick wears off, it does not have much else going for it. It is still a cool place, but I am not sure it was worth the lengthy drive to get there. I have consumed the good, the bad, and the distinctly "tastes like floor cleaner and bad decisions." So when I say a well margarita blew me away, please understand the weight of that statement. Usually, a well marg is something you order when you've decided quality is optional and saving five bucks is mandatory. Not here. Enter Manny. Manny isn't just bartending; he's running a high-level liquid chemistry lab behind that bar. This house recipe of his defies every known law of budget tequila. Whatever magic ratio he's using, it completely skips the usual sour-mix heartburn and goes straight to refreshing, perfectly balanced perfection. Smooth, freshly squeezed taste, and just enough kick to make you realize you're definitely calling an Uber. If you come here, sit at the bar and ask for Manny's house margarita. Hands down the best well drink in the city. Just leave a solid tip, because the man is out here doing public service work.

It's definitely a neighborhood bar, but with a slightly elevated vibe that makes you feel like you stumbled into the nice version of a local hangout, not the sticky‑floor kind. I ordered three rounds of Hendrick's and tonic, and my partner went with four rounds of Tito's and Sprite. When the bill came out to $140, I had to take a quiet moment with myself. Yes, Hendrick's is top shelf, but even with that in mind... whew. That total felt a little ambitious for a neighborhood bar in Cedar Park. I'm all for a good cocktail, but I also know what these pours cost elsewhere, and this pricing didn't quite match the setting. That said, the service was excellent. Our bartender was attentive, quick, and had that perfect balance of friendly without being overly chatty. She kept an eye on the bar, and we never had to wait long for a refill -- which I appreciated, especially since the place wasn't packed. Honestly, the smooth service was the highlight of the night. The vibe itself is cool -- a little eclectic, a little upscale, and clearly a favorite for the local crowd. It's the kind of place you go when you want to unwind without dealing with the Domain crowd or the chaos of downtown Austin. I can absolutely see why people love it. But between the drink prices and the overall experience, this is one of those spots I'd visit occasionally, not regularly. A cute neighborhood bar? Yes. A $140‑for‑seven‑drinks bar? Not for me.
