There were men standing at the valet booth greeting everyone. Smoking area near the parking lot to the left of the valet and building, with provided ash dispensers. AMBIANCE: Theres performances on Friday nights and people dancing on the dance floor in the winery area and the restaurant is in the same area. So, we got to enjoy live music, a delicious dinner, and enjoy people watching. FOODS: Beef short rib 10/10 - sweet and savory paired perfect with the tanginess of the cherry tomatoes Crispy baby artichoke- 8/10. Perfectly crispy and paired well with the lemony sauce they have on the side. Chicken almondsecco- 9.5/10. I know it looks a little much but it tastes so good. It is on the heavier side due to the brown farro butter but man, worth the calories. Chicken was tender Chocolate lava cake 10/10: moist perfectly sweet and that coulis wasn't overpowering the dessert.

We asked for a redo, which took almost 20 minutes. By that time, we finished our fried and side salad. The fries were cold and half the size of the other fries coming out, even though we charged an additional $16 for a side of fries. When it was all said and done, we paid $50 for a cold burger, fries, and a small side salad. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME WE HAVE TRIED EATING HERE, AND 3 TIMES IT HAS DISAPPOINTED US, TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT.

Beautiful scenery, tasty food, too expensive for what you're getting…read more This is really all there was to this lunch spot, as it was incredibly expensive when looking through the order, and although the scenery was very nice and I did understand it was a Wine + Lunch spot, I still found it to be very unfairly priced, especially with the service. The wait times depending on the item can range from 20 minutes to an hour (posted on a sign outside of the restaurant was a wait time of 40 minutes, although ours came in about 25). The servers were very neutral, feeling a bit like they were rushing you to order and not incredibly friendly, which was disappointing. Then came the food and drinks. We ordered the Garlic Cheese Flatbread, Eggplant Parmigiana Shoots, the Spicy Meatball Pizza, a tap beer, and a Sangria. This came out to a little over $100 total. There was little to say about the shoots, which tasted good, but more in the way that fast food tastes good, as they were a bit over fried and lacked much flavor on their own without the accompanying sauces. The Garlic Cheese Flatbread and Spicy Meatball Pizza were both very tasty, but unfortunately the experience was stained by the high prices which made it more difficult to enjoy them for what they were. The Sangria was not very good, though that may be a matter of personal taste, and the beer was one I knew I liked so it, of course, was what I expected. I did not have a bad time here, and wouldn't say it is not worth going to, but for my taste and the overall experience I had, I would likely not return again. However, I do want to end on a positive note, which was that if you do go, the pizzas are incredibly fresh and delicious, and although a bit oily, are definitely worth ordering, but I would skip the appetizers entirely.

My hubby and I came on a Wednesday which was surprisingly busy. We waited for a few minutes to be sat. Found out they offer a half-off wine bottle of your choice for every 2 entrees ordered. Perfect! After the complimentary bread (5 ) was served, we ordered the Pizza Bianco (we requested anchovy toppings for $4, so worth it!) 5 which is now our favorite pizza; Penne al Filetto 5 ! I purposely didn't finish it so I can enjoy it more at home; a nice Italian bottle of Chardonnay, La Pietra, which was recommended by one of the owners and she was right! Half price of $75 was sooo worth it!!! Finally, we loved the wedge salad that was new on their menu. Perhaps the best wedge salad we have had! (We always order wedge salad where available and compare them all since). They put the actual pancetta as opposed to crispy bacon which other restaurants do. They have this "Thursday Date Night" menu that we want to try one of these days. So you bet we will be back!!!

Journey's End's interior is upscale but with a casual ambiance. The architectural details are thoughtfully planned out and enhance the aesthetic. It's a simple elegance with a modern touch. It wasn't crowded & we were seated right away. Our waiter was Anthony and we were very happy with his service. I had the traditional scrambled eggs, bacon, house potatoes with wheat toast & coffee while hubby got the Belgian waffle with eggs & bacon. My plate was huge! It was enjoyable but so filling I had to have the leftovers boxed up. Hubby enjoyed his meal as well. Coffee was surprisingly very good! We will definitely return!

The pear delight dessert was just ok and probably not a repeat for us. While tasty, it was really small and a bit too bland after the strong flavors of the main courses. Old fashioneds were the perfect compliment to the dinner and a good mix indeed. Four stars is the result of the requirement to walk through the smokiest casino in Southern California to get to the restaurant. Pala needs to invest in a stronger/better HVAC system to circulate clean air and evacuate the smoke. On weekends, they forgo their typical menu for a buffet brunch for $36 dollars per person. When we arrived, we were seated outside per our request. Despite the Temecula heat, we were pretty comfortable due to adequate shading. The patio wasn't crowded, as possibly we came after the main brunch crowd, since our reservation was at 1PM. There was a lovely cover artist singing and playing music while we were there. Only a few tables were filled. For drinks, my friends chose the Bloody Mary bar. They enjoyed their drinks, as the bar had a nice selection. I chose the bottomless mimosas, as it was worth it if I even had two. I ended up having three, one raspberry, one guava, and a traditional orange. The buffet, though not huge, was very nice and still rather large, and very reasonable for only $36. The fruit was fresh and delicious, and they had a lovely spread with smoked salmon and lots of toppings for the bagels. I chose the made-to-order omelette station and had a full veggie omelette with lots of mushrooms. I also really enjoyed the sopes, something I don't often find these days. They were great, with slightly crispy bottoms and delicate toppings. The food was so good, I would have gone back for seconds or dessert pastries, but one can only eat so much. All in all, I highly recommend Boquet Restaurant for the brunch buffet, and some refreshing drinks on the relaxing patio.
