Great tasting tortas and quesadillas as well as tacos There meat is prepared to excellence with the right amount of seasoning. Only reason not 5 stars is simply due to the establishment temperature as well as lighting. Some of the condiments are also not as fresh as preferred. One restaurant that I encourage people to visit if you haven't already would be "Chaguito's". It's a Mexican restaurant here in Porterville. The few times I've been there I've always enjoyed my food. I am not a big fan of Chaguitos. My friend loves the place and I always compromise when he wants food from here. We always order the Carne Asada Tacos. This is my go to place in Porterville. Reasonably nice decor. With the panaderia and tacoria together, you're compelled to get a desert with your meal. My fav is the wet chili verde burrito and two carne asada tacos. The burrito is just chili verde and rice topped with some cheese and chili verde sauce. YUM!!! The salsa bar is a nice touch. You order at the counter and wait for your food, so don't expect to be waited on. The breads and pastries from the panaderia are delightful. Thanks to yelp I found this place. I've been to Porterville before but I wasn't on yelp. In town for a show, didn't know where to go then used the "near by" feature and now you know (the rhyming wasn't necessary). Worst service ever. The two ladies whom I belive are related to the owner are rude as hell. No social skills whatsoever. They act like they're doing you a favor for their existence. Some of the best tacos I've ever had are from here. The carne asada is so flavorful. The cuts are nice, and not super fatty like a lot of places. The salsa, and taco toppings bar is fresh and yummy. Personally I would not go back unless I was really really hungry. They closed down the salsa bar before we could even get our food so that we were not able to try. My asada sope was really greasy. Not sure who the person was but someone walked straight to the kitchen and started making his own food. The torta was probably one of the largest I've had. The flavor was great, and the prices were cheap. Can't really complain about anything.
