    Pho and Pancit Noodles

First time here and I will be back! My girlfriend and I went on a last minute date to a place she'd been to before. We really needed comfort food that felt like it was meant to heal you, well that's what I needed because I was have a hard day. We ordered the pancit which was very good 9/10 and we both ordered pho, one beef and one chicken bother were very good the chili oil was different it was more vinegar tasting but it was perfect! The food immediately lifted my spirits ! A women waited on us and she was charming and warm. We only had water to drink and she's the first waitress I've had all year who actually was attentive ! She came and filled my water 3 times before I even knew I was running low. I noticed she knew the orders of regulars as they walked in the door. I get the sense that their customers are #forlifers well count me in ! Family friendly and good food ! Check them out !

Yelp check-in number 12,000 for me goes to Chai Yo Thai Cuisine! Transitioning from lacto ovo vegetarian to pescatarian has been exciting because I have been searching for seafood options within the area. I found Chai Yo Thai Cuisine listed #4 as best shrimp fried rice out of others in the surrounding area while in Proviso Township. It was then, I considered, chose and ordered from this restaurant which sat no more than 1.7 miles in distance from my location at the time. As much as I would have loved to have ordered their Pad Thai due to it being a heavy favorite of mine, I ended up ordering the Thai Fried Rice instead, with Shrimp as my protein along with a Ginger Ale as my drink. I never hesitate ordering online via yelp because it is convenient! Most of the time my orders are completed upon my arrival or near complete. By the time I arrived at Chai Yo Thai Cuisine my order was waiting for me behind the counter during this ordering experience. And all picking up my order was, was just a verification that I was picking up a Grubhub order, my name, what I ordered, and I was well on my way. I am always grateful to have a smooth online ordering experience because the likelihood of me ordering online again at the location is very high. Mmmm, "so good!" was the Thai Fried Rice with Shrimp! I am never disappointed in the satisfying taste of Thai Fried Rice and adding Shrimp with it was the cherry on top. And I must say that my mouth salivated in-between each bite of it as I attempted to savor each moment while eating this quality meal, * chef's kiss *. With Chai Yo Thai Cuisine being a transitioner for me from lacto ovo vegetarian to pescatarian, I am well open to visiting again as the time goes on. And as yelp recommended it to me, I share my endorsement of it as well with you all. Ambiance: 4 | Service: 5 | Food: 5 ~ Live in gratitude ~ Thomas G

I tried Chai Yo Thai Cuisine for the first time today for lunch. It was pretty good, we tried the Red & Green curry which were both tasty and spicy. The Tom Yum soup had a nice taste to it as well lots of lime flavor and decent portion size for a small. The beef could be better kind of hard pieces, I think the chicken was better. Also the parking is street parking only. I'd recommend overall.

    Soooo good! Thai Iced Tea

Ate here for a light lunch while waiting for my son to get his hair loced. Omg so glad I came! The cucumber salad , spring rolls , & crab rangoons were fresh and amazing!! Everything was so good and the restaurant immaculately clean. I even got crab rangoons to go and almond cookies. Definitely check them out and you'll feel as if you're in Thailand . The ice tea was refreshing indeed!

Took my favorite guy (Me) to lunch today. I've passed this restaurant countless times and said that I would stop by. Today was the day, nice place right in the neighborhood and the energy/hospitality was present right away. I ordered the seaweed salad and the red curry with squid. Give it a shot if you are a Thai good fan or if you want something different. #mkethpn

As a big big big fan, Huge fan of a Thai cuisine I am sorry that ordered from place like this. I was out and about around and I had a taste for thai today. I learned thai cooking from ex chef of a very fine dine Thai restaurant in Chicago. And I am not talking about amercan style thai over here. I didn't have so much time so I ordered lunch for us so we have it fresh and nice. This place pop up and someone wrote Authentic thai?!!?!!!!!?!! Are you serious??? Delivery was fast . My complaint is about food! Bland, overcooked and overpriced for that quality!!! Phad thai was bland, zero flavor! Overcooked pasta with give gummy shrimps! Spring rolls were dripping oily and I left them on the paper to soak that dripping oil! After a bite . I will not even describe fried rice and other things! Smell is not on point at all! I even checked if I ordered from the place I wanted to order! My worst experience ever with food since I moved in US. We all had a bite and how everyone made faces I tried everything so I was shure that this is A Crap! Cheap, greasy food with zero flavor! Of course it is overpriced bc it is worthless! Everything ended in the trash and we will have yogurt:) Definitely doesn't worth 55$! So maybe I have a luck and they will return my money bc I don't want store credit after this :)) Definitely not recommend!

Super impressed with the pad see ew and green curry. Spicy shrimp with ginger and tom kha on the right

I ordered to go and came by to pick up my order. In the short time I was there waiting for my food, I noticed things I really liked and disliked. One of the ladies taking the orders over the phone didn't seem too friendly and looked like she was ready to punch you if you took too long to order, but the woman who came out from the kitchen with my order came out laughing and joking with me. I also really liked how it's BYOB and will definitely come back soon to try it out. I ordered the green curry, pad see ew, spicy shrimp and ginger and tom kha. The pad see ew was definitely the best out of the bunch. Not too sweet or greasy. But both the green curry and the pad see ew was spicier than nearby Thai restaurants and for me that makes a huge difference. The tom kha soup was interesting in that I've had this soup all over the U.S. but theirs was really kind of sour. Like they poured vinegar at the end of the cooking process. It was my least favorite item. The shrimp and ginger tasted good, but it definitely wasn't jumbo shrimp. It was more like medium frozen bag shrimp, but the flavor was good. While decent, I probably wouldn't get that particular dish again as it doesn't seem worth the price for the portion. The place gets a four from me because the noodle and curry dish were good enough to make the two lesser items seem not as bad.

Although the Tom Kha soup was tasty and I'm sure wasn't the culprit, it had three small pieces of chicken in the broth. The pad Thai was a whole other situation. I knew something tasted not quite fresh and the beef had a weird texture but I knew starting the next morning I had made a mistake. Six days, urgent care and IV treatment and testing confirms food poisoning from either vegetables not properly washed or undercooked beef. Seeing as all I had that day was toast and coffee at home that morning, this was it. As someone who never gets sick, just bummed the UberEats ratings didn't reflect what this place offers but I now see that I should have checked Yelp first! The dirty restaurant experience matches what happened. Beware.

But I just don't go traversing into Chinese restaurants with no prior vouching or endorsement from someone I know. Or at least I usually don't.... So I headed to NCW one Saturday and had a large shrimp fried rice and two shrimp eggrolls. The rice was just this side of being totally bland. Which is surprising given that they had sprouts, pods, scallions and a few of the other ingredients I find in the rice I like. But it had only the slightest hint of flavor. The shrimp were tiny and pink which suggested they were either boiled beforehand and added in or just weren't cooked long enough. I would guess the latter, especially since I had a few sections of rice that had were still white due to not being mixed with the soy sauce and fried long enough. Adding soy sauce and sweet and sour sauce helps, but good rice should stand on its on. This rice did not. As for the eggrolls? Meh. I don't know this to be the case, but the eggrolls felt like something a restaurant would order from a large supplier, and then fry them to order. I could be wrong, but I said that because in addition to the eggrolls being extremely bland, they had absolutely nothing colorful or distinctly flavorful within. It was fried perfectly, but had absolutely no punch or flavor, save for adding some sweet and sour sauce. All in All the food was underwhelming but passable. It didn't taste bad, the problem is it barely had any taste at all. The question is: would i order it again? Me thinks not. If I were in a remote town and this was like one of the two Chinese options then maybe. Problem is this is Chicago and you can't go more than a few miles or stoplights without passing a Chinese restaurant. A delicious one at that.

Incredible, salmon was tender, almost melts in your mouth, really flavorful with just enough pepper kick. Shrimp tempura had that crunch, avocado and mango were soft and sweet, all balanced together.
