We gave Thithi's a try and were very happy we did. Parking was easy. They have a wraparound lot that accommodates many cars. It was not too busy that evening, but I could tell it could get quite busy. The small-ish restaurant was much larger than expected. With the bar across the back of the room and two rooms of tables, many guests could be seated at once. There are a lot of windows, soft lighting and varnished wood, which created a warm and inviting space. Our host, server and bartender was one person and he was so nice. Thithi's is a fairly new restaurant in suburban Westchester (there is also an older location in Evergreen Park). They bill themselves as a place for fine fusion dining (the menu showcases Vietnamese, Thai and French influences) and also as a martini bar (seeming everyone in the house was drinking a martini). Our party of four were seated in the quieter of two dining sections (the other one includes the bar area). We had a 5PM reservation on a Saturday but were seated immediately when we arrived early. Enjoy the murals on the walls while drinking your adult beverages (I liked my Bia Saigon, a beer from Vietnam). Our young server was pleasant but seemed super busy as the evening crowd gradually grew. He did take the time to adjust our sloping table to prevent our glasses and dishware from sliding off. We shared tasty Thai egg rolls as an appetizer. My duck confit was delicious, with two duck thighs bathed with a rich fig orange port sauce. The green beans were good, but the thin slices of French bread were too toasty hard and did not do it for me. My love ordered the Beef Lover and shared some of her white rice with me. The marinated beef tenderloin also came with cashews and stir fried veggies. Our server said there was no dessert menu, but the two available desserts we shared were sweet hits (creme brulee and some sort of Godiva chocolate cake). read more

I was lucky enough to be treated to lunch last week by a couple of my coworkers and one of them suggested Thithi's. French-Vietnamese has been one of my favorite cuisines since I first tried it as a kid. The last time I had this type of food was Y2K when Le Colonial was popular in Chicago. Thithi's did not disappoint! I would consider this place a hidden gem. The soup was delicious. It's a chicken soup with hints of lemongrass and ginger. One of my colleagues requested Duck Confit from the dinner menu and they gladly accommodated his request. We all tried it and it was tender, crispy and flavorful. The cocktails are exotic and poured with a heavy hand so be careful not to have too many! I would love to go back for dinner to see if the atmosphere is a bit more lively. I cannot believe I'm just writing a review for the Westchester location. Thi Thi's is one of my favorite places to come for a good drink and good food. I come here probably at least monthly to get together with friends and catch up over one of their signature martinis, which they have around 30 of them! They are truly a martini bar. My goal is to get around to trying them all. My favorite at the moment is their coconut martini, but you can't go wrong with any of them, but I'm warning you that you can over indulge and wake up the next day feeling the affects if you're not careful, but when the drinks are so good at times it's hard to heed this advice, but you have been warned. The dishes that I have ordered were all good too. Recently I tried their garlic chicken and it was delicious. I truly enjoyed it. It's never overcrowded and the vibe is nice and if you blink you could miss it. I only wish they played light music, like some soft jazz. Price point is pretty comparable to others, like 16-18 for a martini and $19-24 for their food dishes. The servers/bartenders are all nice as well. They have a parking lot with ample parking. I will be back this month for sure for my martini fix. read more

This place is known for their drinks and there are at least 100 of them. Whatever you crave, you will find it here. They have some excellent food offerings (especially lemon beef and scallions, and tempura!) and a few that are meh but overall they are good. Service can be a bit spotty at times but the staff is friendly. Ambience is unremarkable but there is plenty of space between tables so you can always talk and hear even when the place is busy...which it is on most evenings! The order: Chicken satay Luxury clay pot seafood Duck confit I came into this with no expectation of authenticity and hoping to experience a positive take on fusion/pseudofusion. Chicken satay was nothing special. A little too burnt for "upscale" per restaurant description. Duck confit flavors was decent. The luxury clay pot is meant to caramelize...the description said caramelize....there was zilch. Just a bunch of seafood tossed in this not so good liquid. You can't have one of your most expensive dish $(42) on the menu say "caramelize," use clay pot known to develop food a certain way and then NOT utilize it right. What a joke. This was a bastardization/abomination/travesty of food even for fusion's more forgiving standards. Maybe you will have better luck with the more thai based items, but then it should be thai, French, viet versus the other way around. read more

Well this was as an interesting fusion of Thai, Vietnamese and French especially Thai cuisine. Anyways I was invited for a get together with my close friend and his new girlfriend and they invited me to this place. I was actually not going to go do the fact that there were two places and the address he gave me was the one in evergreen Park not the one up here in Westchester Illinois on Roosevelt which surprisingly I don't even see this place? Anyways it was definitely more Asian fusion than it was European French they had very limited French dishes. they didn't have beef bourguignon or squab or venison base dishes. The Thai Penang Curry that I had was good but I didn't taste the wow to it. I don't understand why they would mix duck and shrimp but it was okay. Service was actually okay it was also the owner's wife's birthday that day that we went on a full moon. Ambience seem to be modern and romantic. I do have to say that there menu for alcoholic beverages was very extensive as I ended up with some apple based cocktail. Other than that it was okay the food was not bad but I didn't think this was something I would be too excited to be about. I don't know if the evergreen Park location would be better? They were recommended on check please an old PBS channel 11 local TV show in Chicago but I just didn't really taste the wow. And despite the owners being Vietnamese making Thai dishes I am surprised they would venture into the realm of cooking Thai cuisine despite the two countries being next to each other in Asia the cultures and how they cook is so completely different. We absolutely love Thithi's and hate that it took us sooo long to find out about them! The staff is extremely friendly and the restaurant itself is beautiful on the inside and very clean and spacious. Now the food itself is the real attraction here. We tried a variety of appetizers as pictures but my favorite was the lemongrass beef. I wasn't a fan of the chicken wings because they're boiled so the texture is a no for me but the actual flavor is amazing, I also love that the staff gives you a disclosure on the wings before you order lol. I also got the shrimp rolls which quite literally were shrimp wrapped in a bacon piece inside of a wonton wrapper. Didn't hate it but it taste exactly like what it was so no real flavor but still decent. The basil catfish curry is an absolute MUST!!! It was magnificent. The catfish was crispy 25 minutes later after I had been running my mouth instead of eating even though it was drowning in that delicious curry sauce. The salmon was also good. Nothing admirable but a very tasty dish still. The crème brûlée is definitely the best I've had and I always ask them to crisp it up a lil more than they usually would and it's always perfect. The drink menu is expansive and you can sit at the bar and enjoy small talk with the staff or drink at your table and still enjoy the small talk. They don't skimp on the liquor here and it's not watered down. Highly recommend the J&J passion or the peach dusse cocktail. They also have a coffee nightcap that's strong enough to put you UNDER the bed! There's endless options to try here so between the food, the ambiance, the staff and the extra strong drinks, you truly cannot go wrong! read more

So happy this restaurant is here! It's a bit pricey for the food but they're trying to be more upscale and the food tastes much better than other Thai restaurants so you're getting what you pay for. Got the basil fried rice. Amazing. Perfectly flavored and perfectly cooked. Spicy basil leaves chicken. Good flavor and good spice without being deathly hot. The chicken should have been larger pieces as most of the pieces were dried out when cooked because they're thin. Pad see eiw chicken. Just like it should be. Add some sambal for some extra kick. The soup of the day was great. Very elegant and clean but a new flavor to me. Then chicken egg rolls were fried to perfection. Thin crispy outside without being over oily. Good date night place. Wow I highly recommend this special spot in Westchester! They just recently opened this restaurant and I wish I was able to dine-in! This time around I ordered to-go, and the front desk helped me quickly and had my order ready to go. I added on 2 Thai Iced Teas last minute and they made it fresh for me and loved it. We also ordered pad Thai, pho soup, thai fried rice, and sesame chicken. All of the entrees ranged from $20-30, which is a bit pricy but each entree was amazing! Let me start by saying that I consider Vietnamese food to be among the most delicious cuisines in the world! This is an upscale Vietnamese Thai French fusion place. Obviously by all the five-star reviews, there are plenty of people who really like this concept and ThiThi's rendition of it Unfortunately, it's not for me. My wife ordered the Tenderloin Pho. The perfectly cooked tenderloin is an upgrade for sure. The pho broth and flavors are good, but really nothing that stands out from the ordinary. We like all the "strange" proteins available at most Vietnamese spots. The pho get 3.5 stars. Hoping to get a variety of flavors, we also ordered a $38 appetizer platter of every crispy rolls. Kudos for the quantity - it was a lot of rolls. Unfortunately, the flavors were a disappointment. There were definitely different stuffings in the rolls but most of them tasted the super similar. A couple of rolls were clear nods to Vietnamese rolls, and these were good. The guacamole roll was okay, but it sure tastes a lot like the guac we buy at Costco. But the majority were bland, similar, and unmemorable. Being a Viet/Thai/French fusion restaurant, wouldn'tt it also make sense that all these rolls would have been offered with a variety of sauces? Satay, fish, curry, some buttery-creamy concoction, etc. But what did I get? Chinese sweet-spicy (probably from a bottle), sriracha (definitely from a bottle), and hoisin (definitely from a bottle) sauces. Last time I checked, all three cultures are big on their distinctive and delicious sauces. Sorry, but 1-star for the most expensive appetizer, I've ever paid for. Service was attentive and professional, maybe a little too attentive. The atmosphere has an upscale feel. The menu looked interesting so we'll probably give it another shot. With restaurant prices so out of control, we want our eating-out to really hit the mark; this was a miss. read more

Santa and Mrs Claus have found their Go-to Westchester Restaurant! No, that's not true, it's our go-to restaurant, not just in Westchester, but anywhere in the world! Began with the huge list of martini's and Santa loved the spicy lime while Mrs C had a whisky/fig concoction! Both awesome--Santa saw Sesame Chicken on menu, and other fantastic entrees, but for this initial visit, the appetizers were so numerous and delectable, that combined with two different Vietnamese soups (Bun Bo and a crab soup, loaded with crab!) we feasted on them instead of entrees! Even had a huge and delightful piece of chocolate cake! We will be back! Wow, a liver pate blew us away and service from Jess was outstanding! Even Thithi herself came out to greet us! The drinks are delicious and there's a wide variety of options. My favorite dishes were the calamari, drunken noodle, and five-space duck. I was recommended this restaurant, but came away disappointed in the food. Not sure why, but several dishes of vastly different influences all had similar strong marinade. The duck confit was made nearly inedible, and ended up tasting the same as the ribs. All I could taste was the dang marinade! I'd call that a 2 star review, but the manager (owner?) was very responsive to my feedback, harsh as it was. He rightly offered to make me another dish after my duck. I took him up on it, and the ribs were a slightly better fit for the marinade but it was still so overpowering. I tried my best to say the marinade was a problem, but he was very friendly and I didn't have the heart to really drive the point home as hard as I should have. Still, he listened and I hope they do something. I'll be back in a few months to see if they got themselves straightened out. Here's hoping. read more
