    Making that delicious biscoff latte
    Cimarron K.

The staff here is super friendly and very good at their craft. You get the same service as all of their other locations. The new iced espresso orange bourbon cardamom is packed with a light cardamom flavor accompanied by orange bourbon cocktail like flavor. This is one of those sip in a glass cup drinks that you need to sit and enjoy in house. It's just classy and refreshing for summer. 5/5 stars Orange bourbon cardamom lattes is very similar to the iced espresso with not milk added. I prefer the balanced flavors in the iced espresso but if you need a larger version this is it! Summer drinks are on point for April! 4/5 stars Croffle with cream - crispy outside soft inside like a waffle should be. Sweet cream on top is perfectly sweet. It's a good light breakfast. 4/5 stars Jalepeno cheese Croffle with bacon green onion is packed with flavor from the Croffle to the cream topping. Fresh green onions with bacon is great combo. 5/5 stars

Monkey mocha and pistachio cream latte

WOW!!!! I am such a big fan of banana lattes so when I saw that they had a monkey mocha latte (banana and chocolate), I was so excited! The banana flavor is from a housemade banana syrup!!! The monkey mocha (I ordered mine half sweet) was sooooo good. It was a perfect balance of banana and chocolate!!! I will definitely be getting that again next time. I tried some of my friend's pistachio cream latte and that was delicious too! I'm not normally a pistachio inclined person but it was yummy and I could drink the whole thing. I also tried a regular iced latte, and it was pretty good. But next time I go back, I will definitely be getting their monkey mocha again. The space inside is cute. I love that this coffee shop is literally right by the Arco. So random but so fun!

Usually go to the Long Black Coffee in the Fountain Valley, but wanted to check out their new location in Costa Mesa. It was in a small area near a gas station. Parking was okay but can be packed if the area becomes busy. The interior was small, cozy, and modern with a few seating (some small tables and a longer one). The staff was friendly and welcoming as I entered. Ordered my go to Ice Pistachio Latte. Which was as good as I recalled from the other location. Can taste a little bit of nuttiness from the drink.

    Hot Madagascar Vanilla Latte

Stopped by the Long Black Coffee location in Costa Mesa for the first time after having been to their Fountain Valley shop before. This location was noticeably less crowded, which made it a really pleasant place to grab coffee and relax. I ordered my go-to, the Madagascar vanilla latte served hot, and it was just as great as I remembered from the other location. Smooth, well balanced, and not overly sweet. The staff were very friendly and welcoming on the day I visited, and the interior has a modern, clean design that feels comfortable without being sterile. You wouldn't think that given that it was located in a gas station parking lot with an unassuming entrance.

i usually go to their fountain valley location + occasionally to cortado in garden grove, but the drinks are always consistent regardless of the store! my go-to drink is the biscoff cookie butter latte - 5/5 with oat milk! no other places compare to long black for this in my opinion. seating is super limited at this location (maybe 6 seats at a big table with no nearby outlets and then some other seats scattered around). the wifi is pretty good though, so if you're able to snag a seat here, it's a fine place to study! parking was a bit limited (thur afternoon) and is only for 2 hours

Main area- a decent amount of seating but the line accumulates next to the small tables

I love long black! I've been going to the fountain valley location for a while and had no idea this one has been around for a few months now. The coffee is great, the baristas are kind, this location is kind of in an odd spot. Unless you stop to pump gas or know it's there, you'll probably miss it. I typically order their espainner but decided to try the biscoff latte and it was definitely tasty. I haven't tried their food but they have a few treats if you're hungry as well.

    Matcha and Coffee Einspanner
    Meera S.

It took me a couple wrong turns to find Long Black in an unassuming gas station parking lot. Was a little apprehensive at first but was quickly humbled and reminded of the life lesson: don't judge a book by its cover. Was told the iced einspanner ($6.50) is a hit so went with it. Requested a single shot as it was inching close to my 3p coffee cut off time. Also substituted almond milk for whole milk ($1). Gosh I really really loved my drink. Like a lot. The traditional einspanner with espresso, short milk pour, and cream top all in one sip was fantastic. I will absolutely be back for more, perhaps try their FV location. Thanks Long Black for delivering on an exceptional einspanner. You did the opposite of disappoint!

Great vanilla latte! Super kind and quick service! Small shop but perfect for a pre-work coffee stop

A new Long Black location, prime spot A small, but accessible, parking lot Near main roads and gas stations, if to fill your tank, you need A small space turned coffee shop, like many, indeed Five paired tables, 1 big table, a little bench seat Display case with the iconic croissant treat I ordered a (half sweet) oat milk matcha latte And I felt it was good to okay For the people who complain about ice quantity, it is filled high For those who like a touch of sweet, don't half modify It does have a distinct matcha taste, green a nice shade It doesn't top my current OC faves for a matcha well made But, it is nice to know it's there and I look forward to revisiting for a different drink order share Overall, grab a drink on your way And have a beautiful day. xo- Op Add on (repeat visits): Almond croissant: delicious Honey oat latte: good

Spent a couple of days at SCP recently and found this new coffee shop on Yelp, so we had to stop by. Ordered the following: Einspanner latte: excellent Biscoff cookie butter latte: excellent We were there early in the morning to enjoy our coffees in a quiet store. Service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be back the next time we're in town.

    Maddy T.

This location just opened for their soft opening recently so it is pretty bare. We ordered the banana latte (decaf) and the chai tea latte both iced. The banana latte was absolutely perfect but the chai latte was on the spicier side. It seemed like the peppercorn was on the stronger side and I wouldn't reccomend. Be patient with the workers! Seems like they only have one person working at a time right now

    tiramisu latte and einspanner
    Hena L.

Very solid einspanners! Inside is cute and wasn't crowded. I saw 2 outlets from when I looked around the seating. I liked the einspanner latte more than the tiramisu but the tiramisu latte was pretty similar. The hazelnut cream in both of these drinks was delicious.

    Banana Cloud
    Victoria M.

We ordered an iced latte, a banana cloud drink, and an almond croissant and had a really good experience overall. The iced latte was solid and well-made. The banana cloud drink was the standout with a strong, prominent banana flavor--great if you love banana-forward drinks. The almond croissant was soft with a subtle almond flavor and something I'd definitely order again. Service was good and the ambience was pleasant, though seating is somewhat limited. Overall, a great spot that I'd happily return to.

At the Costa Mesa location, parking was a little tricky at first, but after circling we got lucky with a corner spot. The location itself is SO cute! It's right next to colorful barrel fountains, and on a sunny day it honestly felt like the perfect coffee outing. The line was pretty long and you are standing in direct sun, so just keep that in mind, but the service was quick and efficient once you order. Inside, it's small but really charming, with Sunny Angels hidden around and a very open, friendly vibe. My sister (who is basically a professional coffee drinker at this point ) got the matcha and said it was her favorite, which says a lot. I got the iced Spanish latte with oat milk, and it was SO good. Spanish lattes are my go-to, and this one had the perfect hint of cinnamon without being overly sweet. Even as the ice melted, it still tasted great, which is rare. The Torrance location was just as good! Parking was easier, the space is bigger, and the service was still super friendly and fast. My husband got the cold brew "Nook way" and finished it in like 10 minutes. He said it tasted like Golden Grahams cereal. Highly recommend both locations and especially the Spanish latte. Definitely worth the visit!

The parking however, was VERY filled during this time. The line was huge for a 11:00am on a Friday morning. We were bummed that the QR code was not working on the very cute wooden signage outside the coffee shop while we were in line, which was a bummer. The Honey Oat Latte with oat milk was delicious. I am notorious for chugging my iced coffee but this was absolutely delicious. A sweet, subtle honey sweetness taste and the creamy oat milk was divine. My manager's Spanish Latte was so much better & I will be getting that next time! We bought our other coworker the Strawberry Matcha, which we did not try & we were worried after the fact because it did not look like it had strawberries in it, but she confirmed it was very tasty and tasted the strawberry! The outside seating areas in this outdoor area was very cute. Lots of fun art, the directory was creative, the CD tunnel was the coolest part! We also walked over to the breakfast burrito place as well. This seems like a nice area to come and relax and just people watch and enjoy a delicious iced latte from Nook.

There is limited parking but the lot was mostly empty when I visited at 8am on a weekday. I was greeted with a smile upon entry and I got in a line of about 8 people. The line would whittle down rather quickly but then would go right back up to about 8, back & forth, during the entire time I was there. Only 2 gals were working but they were like a machine, taking orders and cranking out drinks in a perfectly synchronized barista ballet. I ordered a large hot Spanish latte and chose a chocolate croissant from the pastry case. I declined having the pastry warmed as the chocolate gets melty and gooey-messy all over my hands. She informed me that the latte would have 4 shots of espresso unless I wished otherwise, but I was ready for a good case of coffee jitters. The interior is very small with 6 two-tops crammed together and a window counter with 5 or so chairs. I sat at a table. The latte was perfectly made, served at immediate drinking temperature, with a great quality coffee and a cinnamon flavor that was exactly the right strength. The croissant was fresh with plenty of chocolate inside. By the time I finished it, I looked like a three-year-old; my lips were smeared with chocolate. This was an excellent pastry. The house made vanilla was good, nothing special but did not have that artificial, alcohol-y taste you sometimes get from the store bought syrups. The drinks, however, tasted more milk than espresso forward. Not my personal preference but if you like your drinks on the milkier side this is probably better suited for your tastes. The flavor of the espresso was fine but I personally would have preferred to add a min additional shot or two for a more coffee forward taste, even with just the plain latte.

But if a business advertises that they close at 8:00 PM, customers reasonably expect to still be able to place an order before 8. Even a simple "we can only do a limited menu right now" would have felt more accommodating. What made the experience disappointing was not just being turned away, but the feeling that we were unwelcome despite technically arriving before closing time.
