I go to a lot of coffee shops, and sometimes places get so caught up in the aesthetic, 100+ syrup flavors, cream tops, and all the extras that the actual coffee gets lost. This place manages to be cool, creative, and unique while still getting the most important part absolutely right..the coffee. And the pastries?! SO good. It's located next to Bristol Village Plaza, and when I went, there is plenty of parking. Inside the store was pretty spacious, and there is also lots of seating available. Good for studying and working. What I got: Banana Cloud Matcha $6.95 - 2/5 for me. - although the cream was tasty, it was mostly foam for some reason. Their matcha tasted bitter and watered down. And once the drink is mixed, you will not taste the matcha AT ALL. Service was okay. I saw that the girl who helped the customer before me was really friendly and accomodating. However, the guy who took my order was not really friendly as throughout our interaction he did not smile once, and sounded really bored and lowkey annoyed. Looking for an afternoon pick-me-up in the area and knowing I didn't want to sponsor the corporate giant of coffees, I found this place. It's in a weird location, with the front door opening to a gas station. But once you get past that, it's definitely not filling-station fare! We each loved our drinks, which were a bit different than found elsewhere. I got the banana coco and a chocolate croissant. The other half got a lavender latte and almond croissant. All was delicious and we were fighting each other for flavors. The interior is clean and there is ample seating. The staff was super friendly and thoughtful, not rushing us through our order. This might be my newest favorite spot for a banana matcha because that banana cream top was just perfection. It was a bit sweet, but when combined with the matcha, it was just right. The space felt very open and minimal but still had some mid-century modern style furniture for you to hang out with some friends or get some work done. They also have some board games to play as well some shelves that display merch and coffee beans from Korea for sale! Honestly, you'd never know there was this coffee spot unless you look past the gas station and semi-dated plaza, but I definitely appreciate another nearby spot to add to my rotation for solid matcha drinks. A colleague brought me a coconut macadamia latte from here one morning and I've been wanting to come back for my own experience. Today was that day! When I arrived, parking was a bit busy but I found a spot. I walked instead to smiling faces. They gave a few recommendations and I chose the pistachio cream latte. They let me know that the croissants were made in house so of course I had to get one as well! I picked the spinach kale croissant. If it has greens it's healthy right? I explored the decor while I waited. It's a cute little place with some seating. Once they called my name, I excitedly hurried over to try my drink and croissant. The verdict? AMAZING! All of it. Long Black Coffee sits near the eastern Costa Mesa / North Newport Beach border on Bristol, where there's a dearth of Asian coffee shops, so when this one opened up in the neighborhood, we had to go pay a visit! I'm a sucker for creamy, cloud-like textures, so naturally I ordered the Einspänner. The coffee part was strong and delicious, while the thick, velvety hazelnut cream top was such a decadent treat. Of course I had to take a few sips of the hazelnut cream top before mixing it into the coffee. I'd highly recommend it if you've never had an Einspänner. Could have came here for work but I didn't bc it was Sabbath. I didn't see any tables where you can park and work for a few hours. You prolly could. But if you need coffee before flight, this is the place to get yo caffeine. It's right across from that nice hotel so it's quite convenient. The waifu was commenting on how nice the prices were. The taste of orange peels is strong and makes the coffee mildy bitter but the sweetness and oat milk balance it out perfectly. Its such a unique drink and soooo good!! I was in the area for an appointment and I love checking out new coffee shops and Long Black Coffee did not disappoint. There didn't seem to be much parking considering the other shops in the strip mall. However, I got some gas and stayed parked there while I ran in to get coffee. No outdoor seating but a few tables and comfy chairs inside to accommodate. I believe I also saw a few shelves full of board games. The gentleman welcomed me as soon as I walked in which I absolutely love. After a quick glance at the menu, I decided on the iced coconut macadamia latte. It was so delicious. This coffee shop happened to be right across the hotel we were staying at and I'm glad I stopped by. Greeted with a friendly welcome and the service was great. I was happy to see that had stuff to eat because that's always a plus. A good pastry and coffee bomb! I ordered their strawberry cream cheese croissant and their biscoff cookie butter iced latte. Was a little apprehensive at first but was quickly humbled and reminded of the life lesson: don't judge a book by its cover. Was told the iced einspanner ($6.50) is a hit so went with it. Requested a single shot as it was inching close to my 3p coffee cut off time. Also substituted almond milk for whole milk ($1). Gosh I really really loved my drink. Like a lot. The traditional einspanner with espresso, short milk pour, and cream top all in one sip was fantastic. I will absolutely be back for more, perhaps try their FV location. WOW!!!! I am such a big fan of banana lattes so when I saw that they had a monkey mocha latte (banana and chocolate), I was so excited! The banana flavor is from a housemade banana syrup!!! The monkey mocha (I ordered mine half sweet) was sooooo good. It was a perfect balance of banana and chocolate!!! I will definitely be getting that again next time. I tried some of my friend's pistachio cream latte and that was delicious too! I'm not normally a pistachio inclined person but it was yummy and I could drink the whole thing. I also tried a regular iced latte, and it was pretty good. But next time I go back, I will definitely be getting their monkey mocha again. The space inside is cute. The banana latte was absolutely perfect but the chai latte was on the spicier side. It seemed like the peppercorn was on the stronger side and I wouldn't reccomend. Be patient with the workers! Banana Cloud Latte is where it's at! We live very close by and wanted to take our dog for a walk and instead of going to dreaded Strbx we went went to LBC. It is the shiz!!
