    banana pudding coffee

Went on a Saturday morning and there was a line going out the door but they worked pretty quick. Super cute cafe in general with some seating inside. I'd also probably try to come back on a day when I have more free time so I can get my drink and walk around the beach Banana pudding latte: 5/5 I liked this a lot. It wasn't too heavy which was surprising for a cream top drink and sweet but not artificial banana sweet My cousins also got these drinks and liked them a lot: strawberry matcha, dot cake matcha, honey whipped matcha. I thought the matcha flavor was def there but the default was pretty sweet

Was walking around the area but their menu caught my eye! I love a good foam and saw that each drink had a different foam to choose from! I got the mango dream matcha and lotus coffee and they were both soo good! Not too sweet and had a good strength to each coffee/matcha! They have so many options of foam, including the trendy cup cake "dot" cake vibe! I didnt anticipate on getting their frozen yogurt but it looked so good so i had to try. I got the honey as a toping and it went so well with the yogurt! The yogurt is not the traditional froyo vibe, rather its thick and creamy- you can really tell they use high quality yogurt and honey! Service was friendly despite the long lines out the door! Parking can be rough especially on weekends since its in a prime location by the beach!

If parking wasn't terrible, this place would have five stars. If you follow me, you know that I am a Matcha tonic connoisseur. I've been looking around to find the best Macha tonic and this place has a pretty solid cup. Located on a very busy street parking is scarce and you have to pay for parking. The café is cute and it has a mid to high frequency vibe. The flavor of the Yuzu and the tonic flow very well together and I would definitely come here more often if it wasn't located on such a busy street.

Great spot by the beach, right outside the farmers market on Sundays! The coffee was delicious and such a great variety! The pastries were exquisite too! Plenty of room to sit and enjoy... only downside was no restrooms for patrons.

Salt & Foam is definitely one of the more trendy coffee shops in the area. They have pretty much every viral drink and dessert you see online. Which is good cause u can try all the cool things in one place. They use Stereoscope coffee, which is a solid choice but def a more trendy beans choice. I also loved that they offer frozen Greek yogurt. It seems like they're the only place in the area doing it, and it was a nice change from the usual frozen yogurt or ice cream options. we got a half sweet banana cream matcha. It was good. And I'm sooo happy I got the half sweet cause it was great balance. We also got the hojicha latte but got it as is and it was waaaay to sweet for our liking so def should have gotten it half sweet too. Overall, everything was good, and it's a great spot if you're already in the neighborhood. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to visit, but I'd definitely stop in again if I was nearby.

Salt & Foam is an incredible coffee shop. Parking is a bit of a challenge but it's worth it! The cafe is airy, open the big windows flood the space with lots of sunlight. Best part about being a cafe right by the beach There is seating for quick to chats/catch ups but if you were hoping to work here or study, the tables are too small, and are more for your drinks, and the chairs are stools so wouldn't be comfortable for long term sitting. Their matcha and coffee is from stereoscope, so if you enjoy that, i think you'd like this place as well Ok to the important things One of my favorite things is that All of their signature foam tops are made in-house!!! aaaaand you can sample them before committing to your cream top. Such a thoughtful touch! They have an amazing selection of matcha lattes and coffee lattes, so there's truly something for everyone. They also offer a variety of fresh baked pastries savory and sweet. I got the matcha latte with pistachio cream top My friends got the lotus latte with banana cream top, and latte with lotus cookie cream top Everyone absolutely looooveed their drinks My matcha was perfectly balanced umami nutty and the pistachio foam top gave it the perfect level of sweetness that wasn't overpowering. I'm more of a plain matcha latte gal and don't like the extra fluff but I really enjoyed the cream tops here since they actually were flavorful not just sugary. The only feedback I'd have for the cafe is for the sampling of the cold foams should be done in tiny paper sample cups instead of the wooden spoon cause that drips everywhere. Overall love this cafe! My new fave spot for sure. I'm already planning my next visit because I need to try more of their drinks.

I went in with my friend on a Thursday morning and they were definitely busy! Located a convenient 5 minutes away from Newport Beach, this coffee shop had a wide variety of drinks to pick from. The line moved pretty quickly, which was nice. The person at the register was super nice and gave me some recommendations. After we ordered our drinks, we sat on the bench along the window. There are plenty of tables to sit and chat at, so I loved that! I think all the drinks we got were absolute hits and I'll be back for the greek yogurt froyo again! instagram: @myfavenoms

Cutest new coffee shop by Newport Pier!! Love the branding, space, and decor ~ can see this becoming popular with the Pinterest/IG girlies. I believe they're owned by the same owners as Febe Coffee as they have a very similar drink menu. We ordered the lotus matcha (matcha with a biscoff cream top and biscoff crumbs) and matcha einspanner. The cream tops themselves were absolutely delish but the matcha base was lacking, very diluted & almost tasteless. The owner was super sweet though and offered us free ice-cream. Weirdly, the ube flavor tasted like a tarte yakult so that was completely unexpected...can't say I'm a fan. Overall, I'm not too surprised as my experiences at Febe Coffee have always been a miss. I don't know if I'd come back tbh :')

It's literally Stereoscope Coffee with a different title. (I do not like stereoscope coffee or matcha) This place is super popular because it is trending online for its Dot Cake Matcha. The drink is not sweet enough. The cold foam just tastes like a heavy cream foam & the matcha itself does NOT taste good. Your mouth will have a dry feeling after each sip. I do not recommend ordering matcha from here. The presentation is a 10/10 though so if you only care about the photos then go for it. The Lotus Coffee Latte was alright. I will never return to Salt & Foam but if I did, I guess I would just order one of the coffees. Disappointed to say the least.

Great new addition to balboa! I popped in after a Pilates class nearby and was happy to see that this side of Newport finally has trendy matcha /coffee drinks. The staff is very kind and helped us with samples of the soft serve Greek yogurt, which I highly recommend. I know Greek yogurt is quite popular at the moment, and staff told me this soft serve is made in-house. Flavors include plain, ube, and matcha; each order comes with a topping. Such a filling and healthy-ish treat. The double matcha drink was quite solid. No complaints and it's probably the best matcha in Newport. I was able to make adjustments with sweetness too. Plenty of seating and space to catch up with friends and people watch. Would love seats with back-rests though, it doesn't feel right leaning against the glass. No bathroom either, sadly. I think parking might be tough but there is some street parking right out front if you're just grabbing a drink. Staff recommended parking in the residential areas for free parking. I did come on July 4 weekend though so I'm not sure how the situation is normally.

i was so excited to see this spot open and have a great coffee shop by the beach! it was spacious inside and definitely busy but the service was super quick! i tried their pink guava matcha and it was so refreshing! the matcha flavor was actually strong and the guava wasnt overpowering but you could definitely taste it. would definitely come back to try their other flavors and give their frozen yogurt a try!

Great coffee and love that they have so many options. As a person that loves coffee and has a best friend that loves matcha, it's a great place that offers the same signature drinks but in both options. The workers were also quick on making the drinks especially with the long line outside the door. The only real issue is the parking. Because it's in Newport and in a high populated area, we had to park kind of far. So just a heads up when arriving to this place.

It's a local hangout for sure; patrons working on lap tops, friends greeting each other and barista's acknowledging prior customers. Super cool spot situated on the main thoroughfare on Lido and only steps to a view of the marina. The Coffee itself was excellent; great flavor, well made and the service was equally as good. The outside patio reminded me of something you'd find in Europe; the walls are covered in vines and it's situated right on the the street where it was a great place to people watch etc.. I could see this place getting extremely busy of a weekend and parking would be very challenging so plan accordingly...we were there at 7.30am , perfect time. A must visit.

My wife and I did a simple iced latte and cappuccino both with whole milk. The coffee was great with no sour taste to them. My wife also wanted the croissant, so we ordered one. It was good, but nothing too special. It does get really busy here and for a good reason. It's in a great location in the Lido Marina Village. There was plenty of seating inside and outside. I did get confused with the restrooms but there was one across the street (public restroom). Just to note, I don't think there was a policy for dogs since many people with dogs were coming in and out that were for sure not service animals. I didn't mind since I love dogs, but can be an issue for those with sensitivities. The baristas were all very nice, no issue with customer service. I was basically the only asian dude there the whole time, but there was no issue. Everyone was nice :)

No matter what time I'm in the area, I can count on Seaside to satisfy a sweet tooth or coffee needs. The prices are hard to beat, too! One of my favorite items is the jalapeño, ham, and cheese croissant. They warm it up nicely when you order it, so it's flaky, and the cheese is warm inside. You can't go wrong with any of the classic or specialty donuts as well. They always taste fresh and pair well with hot coffee or hot chocolate. What a way to start a morning. They also offer blended coffees, smoothies, a few bagels, Thai and flavored teas, milk teas, and bottled beverages. They don't, however, offer breakfast sandwiches or other sandwiches. The staff is kind and attentive. This place gets busy in the morning and surprisingly late at night. There's parking in front of the sidewalk and a few lots around.
