Lovely spot for coffee or chai and definitely pie!! I really enjoyed their unique menu offerings - such as the Earl Grey Tea Pie and Saffron Latte. They're located towards the back of a hip food hall right off Colorado where Pie Hole used to be - next to Pressed Juicery and Wanderlust Creamery. The very friendly staff member explained it's the same owners but they're rebranding with a new flavor profile and spin on the menu. Diehard Pie Hole fans will be happy to know that they still offer some Pie Hole faves like the Early Grey, Mexican Chocolate, and Apple Crumble pies! Met up with Yelp coffee shop queen @SamB for a fun little Fri-date with dessert for breakfast and it was a great spot to relax and chat. We both tried the Saffron Latte (hot) and shared a slice of the Earl Grey Tea Pie and Masala Chai Pie which were both delightful! The Earl Grey Tea Pie definitely has a great earl gray tea presence and goes well with the thin layer of chocolate on the bottom. The Masala Chai Pie was decadent with a warm spice profile reminiscent of pumpkin pie. Both were excellent and something I'd order again. I also took several other items home to share with the hubby for the weekend - a slice of Mexican Chocolate, Apple Crumble, and a piece of their beautiful Rose Pistachio Cake. The lovely staff member let us sample the Rose Pistachio Cake before buying and it was delicious as well as beautiful - nice amount of rose flavor which I love. Looking forward to sampling the others! We had trouble deciding on our drinks bc they all sound so interesting and unique. After recommendations from the staff member, we both settled on the Saffron Latte that comes with espresso shots and a splash or two of vanilla depending on how sweet you prefer. It was nice enough - they make their saffron syrup in house and the quality of their espresso is excellent. But I didn't really taste any saffron or vanilla - it just kind of tasted like a normal latte. We were dining in so were expecting a regular coffee mug like we've seen in the photos - but our lattes came to us in to-go cups which I really don't care for so we were a little disappointed about that. They have limited seating that fills up fast when busy. And be sure you leave yourself plenty of time bc they are a small family owned business with limited staff (totally understandable) and service can be slow if there's a little bit of a line. But the staff were wonderful, hard working, and as efficient as they could possibly be while providing great service. All in all we had a nice experience and I'd definitely revisit. The prices are good for the area. Location is excellent- right in the heart of quaint Old Town Pasadena surrounded by so many shops and activities.

Replacing the previous PieHole, this pie place definitely takes the pie for delicious and unique pies!! We had their indian flavored pies, which were the Gulab Jamun Cheesecake and their Masala Chai Pie! My parter and I love masala chai tea from our local Indian supermarket so we loved the pie! I also love the gulab jamun dessert in restaurants and, to experience it in cheesecake form was magical. We also had their indian flavored drinks, which were the Cardamom and Masala Chai. They complemented the desserts so well!

Would absolutely recommend coming here and trying their chai! So delicious. And this is coming from a coffee girl! Nick did a wonderful job explaining the 3 types of chai they had to offer and the flavor notes/differences. His descriptions helped me narrow down my wide eyed gaze! I had the Kadak chai, hot. The flavor was dynamic yet light! Having it with whole milk is the way to go for a nice creaminess. Not many places offer fresh chai and this is hands down one of the best I've had at any cafe around LA. I also had to go for their earl grey pie and tres leches. Both very tasty! If you had to pick one, I'd go Earl Grey for the lightness of the pie. The tres leches was just a tad on the heavy side for me (then again, I had mine in the morning, would make for a perfect dessert).

if you are looking for a simple cup of authentic chai (masala chai!), this is the place to be. A chai and bakery shop tuck inside a common space shared with other small shops (ice cream and juice). Staff is friendly! there isn't much place for sitting but the option of having a cup of chai enjoying Old Town is another cozy option!

Great drinks and sweet treats! Tried the kadak and masala chais and they were great - tasted just like how my family makes it. Also got the mango lassi cheesecake which was the perfect blend of Indian and western flavors!

10/10! I had the Iced Spanish Latte, Mango Lasse Cheesecake, Hot Cardamon Chai and Samosas. Everything exceeded expectations. Great service, and spacious venue, plenty of seating. This is a shared space with Pressed Juicery and Wanderlust Ice Creamery. Will definitely return soon. (Bathrooms are a little dark)

I would be curious to try the chai teas and coffees here but we stopped by on a Tuesday night and didn't want any caffeine. We tried the pistachio rose tres leches and I thought it was okay, it didn't seem as fresh and the cake itself was a bit more dense than I would like. Service was a little slow for no line, the barista was making drinks for another customer that took a bit longer before our cake was ready.

So friendly and so much pride in their business! I highly recommend the tres leches cake with rose and pistachios--delicious and not overly sweet.

Amazing amazing experience!! I've been hoping to find a place where I could try chai in Pasadena and it's like by fate this place opened! The owner is super nice, she accommodated me and my friend when we wanted to try an iced drink. She suggested a vanilla cardamom latte and it was so good! So flavorful, not too sweet, just the perfect amount of spice. The hot cardamom chai was also delicious, I kept almost burning my tongue because I was just too excited to drink it. It was so warm and did not taste watered down at all. And finally, the mango lassi cheesecake. It was actually one of the reasons I found this place haha. I had a huge craving for cheesecake and cake in general and knew I had to stop by. It was super creamy and smooth! The mango tasted fresh and I loved the mango puree on top. Not too heavy and not too sweet. I really enjoyed it. We also got a slice of earl grey pie to go but I forgot to take a picture before I devoured it. Everything just was so delicious! I think the place is still new but I think this will be my top place to go with friends. The seating is a bit limited as it is in the same building as Wanderlust, but for small groups or duos its perfect! 1000000/10

Visited this place on a Friday evening, and the zen experience was absolutely amazing! The comfy armchairs and outdoor seating create a relaxing atmosphere. The friendly staff made great recommendations and even provided samples. The desserts paired perfectly with the drinks. I highly recommend the Golden Latte; its balance of spices and sweetness is exquisite! Reasonable prices

    Mango lassi

Service was top notch, they took the time to explain all the items to us knowing we were unfamiliar with Indian flavors. The masala chai was very mild, but perfect for a late night hot drink that won't get you wired with caffeine. But if you're looking for a super strong chai they do have other options! The mango lassi was very fresh and not too sweet. The mango flavor really came through and maaaaybe our favorite item on the menu. Gulab jamun cheesecake was also surprisingly balanced. It may look like a regular cheesecake underneath the topping, but it actually is infused with all the flavors of a gulab jamun (rose water, cardamom) that complimented the creamyness of a new york style cheesecake. Definitely worth trying if you're looking for something unique to go with your cup of chai!

We sampled most of the menu and found our favourite flavours to be Sheer Moz Brulee and Sour Cherry & Fairy Floss. The Sheer Moz is a perfectly-balanced banana and comes with banana chips. Delicious! Yet, the more we ate the Sour Cherry & Fairy Floss, the more we loved that one. You'll find little crunchy surprises within the ice cream or the fairy floss (not entirely sure), but it all melts smoothly in your mouth. Based on these two flavours alone would we highly rate Kinrose Creamery. The other flavours can be hit or miss based on your preferences. Came here for the souffle pancakes and they didn't disappoint!…read more My party of 3 stopped by Saturday afternoon 2:30 pm and it wasn't crowded. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose outdoor since it was such a nice day out. They have all of their desserts on display in the case, so you can peruse the options and see what looks good. So many of the desserts looked good, like the matcha yuzu chiffon crepe cake or the rose and lychee crepe cake. We ordered via the kiosk and got the mango sunshine souffle pancake ($16.50) and well as a couple drinks. My drink was the white peach lemon jasmine bliss ($6.25), with 50% sweetness and less ice. Even though there are signs everywhere saying that it takes 15-20 minutes for the souffle pancakes to be cooked, ours came out super quickly, in 5 minutes or so. We got it with the sauce on the side, but I regret doing that as I saw others getting it with the sauce on top and it was beautiful. The pancake was super fluffy and a bit eggy as well. We all really enjoyed it with the mango sauce. I made the mistake of eating the pancake first before trying a sip of my tea. The pancake was pretty sweet, so I could barely taste my drink, but I think it was good? I could taste a bit of the lemon but definitely not the white peach, which is a lighter flavor. I got a slice of their Hokkaido cheese cake roll for $7 to go and had it the next day. It was okay but definitely a bit pricy for what you get. I'd love to come back to try their other desserts and pancakes!

The cafe itself was pretty small with 3 small tables, 1 big table, and bar seatings with charging ports. The bathroom was closed and it was really warm inside. I couldn't see myself studying or staying too long, which may be for the best since parking is tricky and street parking has a 2 hour limit. An okay experience, but I don't see myself coming back.

We were done about an hour before our reservation time. We hoped to be accommodated earlier but saw the long line and crowd waiting as we drove by. We decided to run a couple small errands instead. We arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation. It was still busy, but there were not as many people waiting. The hostess was so warm and welcoming. She let us know that the customers at our designated table were almost done and that they will have it ready in just a few minutes. Unfortunately, those customers decided to linger much longer. Thirty minutes later, they were still hanging around. We fully understood that this was not by any fault of the restaurant. We continued to wait patiently. The hostess was very apologetic and was trying to work out a solution which led to the Floor Manager (Karla) getting involved. We were eventually seated at another table, with the option to move should the other table become available. Karla then took the time to apologize for the wait and unfortunate first impression. As we got started with drinks and a pastry for the daughter, the other table opened. The hostess immediately came to move us. It all went smoothly from there. Table service was casual and attentive. We started with the Chocolate Almond Croissant and the Baguette & Bordier Butter. The daughter tried the Iced Matcha Latte. For our entrées -- Shakshuka, Patty Melt and Brioche Eggs Benedict (with salmon). I was eager to try the Potato Gravlax, but it was sold out. :( Everything was so, so delicious! Fresh and flavorful. Lovely presentations. Very good portions. As we were finishing, Karla came to our table again to express her gratitude for our patience and understanding. She gave me her business card with an offer to contact her directly should we need another reservation. On our way out, I stopped to compliment the sweet young hostess for a job well done. Not wanting to leave empty handed, I decided to get a few slices of cake instead. And boy am I glad I did! So far I've tried their red velvet cake, vanilla cake with strawberry frosting, and a seasonal strawberry cake.
