    Spinach quiche and side salad
    Patricia G.

While I'm not vegan, my boss is and she had a few things delivered while in town. After trying a couple of tasty items from here, I had to come check the place out for myself! Today was my second time here and definitely not my last. I'd been thinking about their spinach quiche all morning and just had to get one today. Aside from the spinach quiche, I also got the apple tart, an iced latte and a cinnamon cruffin (which was a recommendation from staff). Inside the place is super cute, with all the treats and goodies laid out for choosing, and the seating is super inviting and comfortable. Parking is either metered street if you're lucky or there's a paid lot around the corner on De Lacey. Definitely one of my favorite spots for a bite and a treat! The staff here are very helpful and friendly, and they give great recommendations. There's seating indoors as well as outdoor patio seating. Highly recommend coming in to see all their goodies. It's a little pricey but so worth it. Everything I've had here is phenomena!

    Pistachio Eclair and some tea!

This place is pretty great. We've been meaning to try this for a while, and finally, during our spring break staycation, we managed to make our way over. We got a turkey sandwich, their mushroom soup, a quiche, and an eclair (of course - pistachio), and a pot of tea (blue montagne - a black tea with some berry flavors). Everything was really delicious, and it makes me think about how far vegan cuisine has come in the last, even 10 years. Many of their stuff is gluten-free as well. The only thing that I'll say was kind of sad - we got a loaf of beet bread to go, put it in the fridge as soon as we got home, and the next day, it got moldy. I brought it back and exchanged it for one of their charcoal loaves. I think they are under the same ownership or something as the wine bar next door, since they share a space. The space out front is pretty spacious, but there are only 3 tables, so maybe there is another room when it gets crowded? I didn't really explore the space this time.

I had to try this place multiple times in the past two weeks! Backstory years ago I came across these bakers at the farmers market, they have vegan macaroons and my kid is all about the French macaroons! I knew they had opened a brick and mortar in Pasadena a while ago and it just took me until recently to finally make it there. Don't judge me I was trying to spare my wallet and waistline! Anyways none are being spared from the pure delectable excellence at this point! Before I go on I get to acknowledge that yeast breads and sugar can mess me up, sick, bloat, etc. TMI? I dgaf! Because I don't have the extreme reactions here that I usually get elsewhere. Actually a majority of the sweets from the eclairs to the cinnamon twists are reasonably sweetened! There's no compensating sugar for bad ingredients. Every flavor stands out and participates together like the instruments of a symphony. Delightful! The only one I cannot handle so far are the French macaroons which according to my kid are exactly to their liking. So far I've had the cinnamon twist, blueberry bar, chef special cream filled cherry cruffin, and the chef's special quiche which looked so legit I had to ask if it's really vegan!!! What magic is this!?! Because for the price it's insane! Other places would charge double to offer this and I would pay it! Now the drinks...on the pricier side? Yes. Is it worth it HECK YES because I did my drink order again! Dirty Matcha with almond milk (match latte with shot of espresso)' Don't judge me I need the caffeine ride without the crash. Normally this drink tastes like mud everywhere else but here it's a smooth caffeinated perfection. I don't need to bust out the stevia, it's perfect as is!!! This is the first and only time the pairing is balanced and smooth. Needless to say this is my top pick for vegan bakeries and coffee/tea places! I can wait to fully enjoy the ambiance with a decadent crystalline flare of luxury in a quant cafe Bonus: they have pastry classes, afternoon tea, it's a wine bar by night, and there's so much more to know about the artistry and offerings it's well worth the visit!

Quiche, Tomato Salad, & Focaccia - All AMAZING!

Updating my review to include some non-dessert items.. EVERYTHING I have had here has been well made and absolutely delicious. My brother, who is not a fan of tomatoes kept picking at my Tomato salad because it is that good! The Focaccia was so flavorful and tender - baked to perfection. This was also the first time I dined in-restaurant (patio) and the service was fast and friendly and helpful! If you're in Pasadena, this is a MUST visit!

Walking in I was greeted in French and the staff was super friendly and patient as I took my time looking through all the shelves of pastries they had. The interior is super pretty and they had a gorgeous neon sign. Also love the bread shelf they had. If I didn't just buy bread before this I would've wanted to buy all of it. Now as for the pastries I got, I tried their fruit tart, macarons, and the chef special strawberry croissant cube. Everything is so delicious and not too sweet. I like how fresh all the fruits are. The macarons were perfect and crisp. They didn't taste soggy at all. I also really like the custard in the fruit tart. It fell apart pretty easily but they have the little tray for you so it was okay. I really like everything and need to try their eclairs out next.

I'm so excited to come here again, so many beautiful looking pastries and treats I want to try. The "Egg" Sandwich and fresh pressed orange juice is what I ordered in and I got the strawberry tart to go! The sandwich was really good and I loved that it came with a side salad.

So happy to have found this amazing vegan bakery! It is truly a wonder when you go in. I found it very try difficult to choose because everything looked so wonderful! The staff was very helpful and we ended up choosing a savory mushroom tart, spinach quiche and a piece of focaccia. The quiche was amazing and made with their in house egg substitute! The mushroom tart was also incredible with perfectly laminated dough and texture! The focaccia was not good. The dough recipe needs to be perfected because it was heavy, dense and under cooked. This is a super easy fix. I hope they will look into that. The inside is super cute and shares a space with a wine bar next door so you can eat inside or outside. The outside area is nice and covered but it's on the street and has VErY uncomfortable chairs. The kind that dig into your legs. They use super cute mismatched plates and tea cups which add to the whimsy. Overall amazing place! Definitely recommend!

How lucky am I to live in a timeline with ID-Eclair? I've enjoyed their desserts at vegan street market pop ups and decided that Valentine's Day was the perfect time to stop in their brick and mortar for some treats. It's a sweet set up, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There's a massive pastry window to entice you as you wait ~ if there's a line, there definitely was for Valentine's Day ~ with grab-and-go gift and drink options on the side (truffles, chocolates, jams, housemade butter). Everything looked so good when we arrived that we decided to get savory food and treats. Grilled Cheese: I can't resist a grilled cheese. Three layers of flavorful vegan/ plant based cheeses gooey between two gorgeous pieces of charcoal loaf bread, and a side of delicious fresh arugula salad. This was exactly what you'd want from a grilled cheese but the most elevated version, at a super fair price. I'll be dreaming about this. I just wish they had a consistent tomato soup on because I can't resist a dip! Egg Sandwich (daily special): crispy bread loaded with housemade tofu (I believe) egg scramble, mixed greens, tomatoes, and delicious sauce. Side salad on the side. Love how many greens and protein is in this. Extremely elevated. Bread is buttery goodness. Pistachio Eclair: yes please. I could drink the filling. All you'd ever want from a pistachio pastry. Almond Croissant: crispy, buttery, nutty goodness. Highly recommend. Chef Special "Love" Eclair: delicious berry goodness. Fresh and sweet and satisfying, sandwiched between an exquisite macaroon Cortadito: like a flat white, DELICIOUS! The coffee is strong and though I drink fast, it seemed to last forever. Creamy, strong coffee punch flavor. The staff works so hard, I'm in awe of the pace they keep up and the quality of ingredients, flavors, and service. There's plenty of seating for a constantly rotating customer base and the street side chairs and tables and open door make it feel like a warm and inviting patisserie. This is great for a pre-order, pickup, delivery, friends-gathering, date, treat run, or simply a coffee pickup in the morning. I love it and can't wait to go back.

ID-eclair is awesome and they're as good as any of the trending bakeries in Pasadena, but without the long lines. They are tucked away on Green Street on the corner of Pasadena Ave. Check them out next time you're in Old Town.

Clever name. Regrettably, I Declare this is not the best eclair I've ever had. Maybe it's because I came near closing (4pm), the pistachio and chocolate eclairs were dry and not fresh at all, so disappointing (also the pistacho tastes more minty than pistchio.) Will probably go back one early morning to try their drinks and other pastries.

$5 croissant and coffee? Count me in! I'm a creature of simplicity and this is the perfect combination to start every morning. Croissant was flaky and crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside, just exactly how a great croissant would taste like. The flavor balance of the croissant is perfect that doesn't make one feel "overwhelmed" after the first bite. Maybe that's how the French like it ? :) I got the medium (vs bold) coffee and it pairs well with the croissant. Receptionist was kind and friendly, great service there. I'll definitely come back to try more of their baked goods.

This is a delayed review (from December), but just have to share how AMAZING this place is. I couldn't decide on what to get so basically grabbed one of everything , and then it was all so delicious I had to go back again later in the day to grab even MORE. Definitely the most delicious vegan pastries I've had outside of Paris. Can't wait to come back and try even more!

4/5: fully vegan bakery? Say less! ID Eclair is simply the vegan bakery all the plant based foodies out in LA have been waiting for. They have a spread of savory items, decadent desserts, soups, sandwiches, teas, and coffees. For our birthdays, my also plant based bestie and I celebrated with a full spread of baked goods. We got their soup, grilled cheese sandwich, teas, and sweets (see pictures below), and all together our total came up to ~$90 post tax and tip for the both of us. Service was rather quick for all that we ordered. My favorite item was probably their tarts, but I definitely would not order the grilled cheese again. This would definitely have been a five star review, but possibly because we had all these in one go, it felt a little too greasy and heavy on the stomach. Still, I'm certain that non plant based eaters would find ID Eclair's food tasty as well, and if they didn't know, I'd suspect that many wouldn't have guessed that everything was vegan. Overall, I'd happily stop by again to pick up some delicious baked goods when I'm feeling a hankering for sweets or savory breads! Everything else: Parking in Old Town Pasadena can be rather difficult so plan accordingly. The store is kept well lit, clean, and decorated with modern aesthetics. It's a nice space but fills up quickly. There's also a bar in the back with additional seating.

We were greeted with warm smiles, which made us feel welcome right away. The restaurant itself is small, cozy, and comfortable--perfect for a relaxed meal. We ordered the Tom Yum Tofu Soup, Papaya Salad, Pad See Ew with fried tofu, and Thai tea. The food was surprisingly flavorful and absolutely delicious! The Papaya Salad was fresh with a nice balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors, while the Pad See Ew was packed with flavor and had perfectly cooked noodles. The fried tofu was a great addition and complemented the dish well. The Tom Yum Tofu Soup was comforting and aromatic, and the Thai tea was a refreshing way to round out the meal. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Friendly service, a cozy atmosphere, and delicious food made this a spot worth returning to. I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu!

Dropped by to grab some dinner and grabbed 3 items: their orange chicken, tom yum noodle soup, and their pad thai. OOOF their dishes were like an average of $18 each?? After we got the food we waited outside and it's a shared parking lot with other businesses and I saw a rat literally ran across in front of me the minute I stepped out the door! The worker came by and shut the door all the way so it didn't come in but it surprised me! Can't fault them because this is outside in the public parking lot and the lot is small and smelled pretty gross, like old trash. Not sure I want to smell that before getting my food so we opted to go wait in our car. Once it got closer to time we went in to get our food and came home to eat. They're a Thai restaurant, I hear the staff talking in Thai so I HAVE to assume that the Thai food we got would be good right?? Their Tom Yum noodle soup is YUMMY. So flavorful and enjoyable! It was our favorite! But the orange chicken.. kinda bland.. and same goes for the pad thai :( Portion size not bad but still price is steep for the quality of food they provide. I don't think I'll be back unless I was craving for Tom Yum, but I would rather fly back to Thailand and have it there

The ice cream itself was plain vanilla soft serve, but when sandwiched by two entire chocolate chip cookies, I think the sweetness can be overpowering. Keep in mind that it also melts very fast (since it has the consistency of soft serve) and this makes it hard to keep the whole sandwich in shape. If you do not plan to eat it right away, I would not recommend getting this as it'll melt in a mere minute.

It's a comfortable spot with padded banquettes or chairs at the tables, which feature chrome frames and (very good-looking) faux marble tops; along with white walls and light-colored wood accents, the owners have created a clean, simple, welcoming environment. The mood is jostled even further into a specific vibe of calmness with the carefully curated music being played: bossa nova covers of pop hits from bygone days (The Bee Gees' "More Than A Woman" and the Bee Gees'-written Streisand hit, "A Woman In Love" being examples), but it all works. The menu offers a varied selection of dishes from several Asian cultures, from Chinese Beef Rolls to Japanese noodles and soups to Korean Beef over rice. It's not a huge menu, but there's definitely enough there for everyone to find something interesting to eat. The food is all cooked in view of the customers by a staff of chefs working in a sparkling clean kitchen enclosed by windows, and the staff is uniformly friendly despite juggling a lunchtime crowd at the tables plus quite a lot of to-go orders. I tried 2 really enjoyable and satisfying dishes. Beef Rolls featured thinly sliced brisket rolled inside crispy fried crepes with scallion, cilantro and a touch of Hoisin sauce. The brisket had a mild but distinctive flavor that spoke of careful preparation, while the slightly astringent pop from the onions and herbs was a nice foil for the inherent fattiness of the fried crepes. The Hoisin sauce was very subtly deployed, lending tasty support without overwhelming everything else. I added some of the house chili oil for a little extra spice and peppery depth, but these well-made rolls were terrific all by themselves. It should also be noted that the portion is very generous, especially for the price ($12.80), and more than enough for 2 people (perhaps 4 people, if each has 1/2). My other dish was the Qinghai Clear Cold Noodle, a terrific-looking, and even better-tasting blend of thick, chewy noodles, fresh chopped garlic, veggies, tofu and chili sauce that's got a bit of heat but more so a pleasing depth of Chinese spices. This appetizer is packed with flavor and just happens to be Vegan (as are a number of menu items), so it can be enjoyed by anyone. All in all, this was a fantastic mid-week lunch that pleased the senses without breaking the bank, and I even brought some home for later. Do give this Noodle St. a try -- and if you're not in Pasadena, check their website, because they have 8 locations, with a 9th opening soon in Sherman Oaks.

The quality was solid, and everything came out hot. The chicken wings were great, the garlic green beans and cucumber salad were amazing, and the signature spicy ramen was really good too. It was a bit greasy, almost like birria, but the meat was tender and the broth tasted like it had been cooking for 48 hours deep, rich, and full of flavor. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the Korean beef. It was way too sweet and didn't really give Korean BBQ flavor. The meat seemed more steamed than grilled, and not even vinegar or chili oil could save it for me. Other than that, everything else was fresh, flavorful, and worth coming back for.

I didn't want to write this review. I used to love Kismet. I tend to go on Thursday early…read moreafternoons. I had 2 other experiences prior to this where the chicken seemed off but I kept trusting it would be as good as it when I first had Kismet when it first opened back in March 2025. On May 7th, 2026 at 3:30 PM I ordered for pickup my usual meat and potatoes plate. Weirdly, the order was ready for pickup in a couple of minutes when usually it would be ready in 10 minutes which would have been less sketchy. I should have trusted my instincts. I walked in to pick up my order and there were zero customers around, usually there are a few customers eating at the tables. Sign that the quality has dwindled and the regulars aren't retuning. I get back home to treat myself (I spent $28 for the meal plus a drink.) Much to my dismay I opened the plate and was so disappointed. It was half of what normally comes in the box but the potatoes were stacked high and of course extremely oily. I was like ok let's just eat this because I don't have more time to find another place to get food plus I've already splurged. The chicken was undercooked and rubbery and came with no chicken breast like it normally does just some boney legs. Since I was so hungry and paid the extra money for "light" chicken I still ate it. I'm sick now, the night of May 8th I'm still on the toilet. Save your money and go to Zankou if you want good rotisserie chicken they've been doing it right in LA since the 80s. Or Costco; 5$ chicken unless you want a $32 dollar chicken here to make you and your family sick and poor.

This time I got their mango aguafresca, flan, esquite, and chicken torta to try. The mango agua Fresca was sweet mangoy and refershing. The flan was firmer than what I'm used to but was still super creamy, not too sweet and had plenty of this caramely toasty flaves. It's corn season and the corn in the esquite MNM. Amazingly buttery juicy sweet and generously topped with rich mayo, Cotija cheese and tajin. The torta was also REALLY YUMMY and was filled with crunchy fresh onions, lettuce, tomato, and radish, soft beans, savory cheese, and tender limey flavorful perfectly grilled chicken. I even added some of their super fresh yummy guac and omg pure deliciousity right there. Overall this place is still pretty good. Mango agua Fresca $5 Flan $5 Esquite $7 Chicken torta $12 +$4 guac

Here are the problems: 1. $7 for Chips and Guacamole - a giant basket of mediocre chips - basically a tablespoon of guacamole. Sorry, that's a terrible value. 2. The tacos were good, but again, kind of a crap value at $3 a taco. 3. I also ordered a medium Diet Pepsi. I don't know the exact price, but I had just spent $27 with a tip for 4 tacos/chips and guacamole/and a drink, but they wouldn't give me a refill unless I spent another $1.11. It's not a lot of money, but come on! Food is decent/not amazing/service is fine/prices are high and not a good value. I don't think I will be dining here ever again.
