Great find! Seems to be new, very clean, great decor, and very friendly staff. Located in a strip mall in Santa Clara, it's a find. Menu is extensive with so many things I am going to try. This evening I had the drunken noodles and my 95 year old mother had the red curry pineapple with beef. Both dishes were abundant in size, hot, with amazing flavor. The curry was a little hot. Surprised my mother was able to handle it. Just make sure to clue the staff on heat index. The Thai ice tea was amazing. Chaiyo Thai wins again. I stopped here after a long day of driving! My buddy ordered Thai Hot Pad See Ew and a Thai Tea. I ordered medium spice Cashew Chicken, Ginger Lemon hot tea and a app of crispy Spring Rolls to get us by until the main courses arrived. Service was ok... I think the gentleman waiting on us may have been new to the restaurant, as mistakes were made (and at the table next to us too! They received the wrong orders belonging to another table.) My friends Pad See Ew had ZERO heat, not Thai Hot. But he did say it was very good other than that. They offered to bring some hot spices for him, but he declined. He also enjoyed his Thai tea. My cashew chicken was very good, and the heat was an easy medium. Spring rolls were delicious, as was my tea. They did discount the tab a little due to the mistakes... which was appreciated. Really between a 4 and a 5. I ordered the crispy wontons and red curry. I love that this place is in my area of town, it's clean, and the staff was friendly. They have a lot of items that looked really good too. I asked for no bell pepper sub broccoli in my curry, and they did this nonissue, which I appreciated. I also loved the eggplant in the curry. Curry had a good flavor, good spice, and great portion. It was missing something, and. Little sweeter than I'm used to. Still super solid and I'd absolutely order again.The wontons were decent too. First time dining here and I experienced friendly service and appreciated the live plants in the dining room. I came in during lunch and the server was quite occupied by all the diners so you might need to wait a bit. Their menu does not identify vegan/vegetarian dishes although they do offer tofu and tempeh as protein sources. I ordered the house curry with tofu. I was served a bowl of rice first which was unfortunate as by the time the curry was brought out the rice was not very warm. The curry itself was piping hot but not to the medium spice level that I had hoped. It contained carrots, bell peppers and tofu. Overall I found it kind of bland. I will be back to give them another try. I think for the price point the quality/taste could be improved. read more

The pad Thai was shrimp I stead of chicken, and the noodles were too undercooked to enjoy the dish. Also, the sauce wasn't very good compared to other pad thai I had. Omg this place is a hidden gem and welcome addition to Santa Clara! Everything we tried was so delicious! The portions are so large and filling! I had the Thom Ka Noodles by recommendation of our server and I loved it! The server was so attentive and personable for being the only server for the whole restaurant. He took the time to explain the dishes and made excellent recommendations. We were a party of 6 and they were able to seat us right away. Ample parking and really nice ambiance and decor. Like others, we were happy to see a Thai restaurant in this neighborhood. The server was kind and attentive, despite being very busy. Ambiance is good, with an informal bistro vibe. Chicken satay was very good, and was served with an excellent peanut sauce. My partner ordered Panang curry with chicken, medium spice, and it came out very hot, which is right and proper for Thai food. The Thai iced tea was also perfect, stong and creamy. But. BUT. I ordered Rad Na with chicken and was kind of appalled at what came out. The menu reads, "Wide rice noodles, Broccoli, carrot, or just Chinese broccoli, with brown Thai gravy." I didn't expect spice, because it's not a hot dish, but it was honestly the most tasteless meal I've ever had in any restaurant. The noodles were overcooked to the point of being gelatinous, and there wasn't a hint of the brown gravy (there was some kind of gravy, but it was clear and completely flavorless). Nor was there a hint of soy or oyster sauce. I don't usually complain about food in restaurants, but I had to ask for a bit more flavor. The server brought me some chili, which helped a bit. But I still couldn't finish this meal. I have the leftovers and may try to salvage the chicken and vegetables with some store-bought sauce, but the noodles were just awful. And I love noodles. What happened? I'm going back because the other food we ordered was good. But I will never order the Rad Na here again. In retrospect I should have sent it back, but the server was so nice and was working so hard that I didn't have the heart to make more work for him. read more

The food was excellent and our server Louie was friendly, personable and very attentive. His smiling face and demeanor made the experience that much more enjoyable.
