For context, I am from the Bay Area. So I have been to 2/3 of the CHAKAA location, this one and the one in SD. Compared to the SD one, I did think the drinks at this location are weaker but still good. I would say in the Thousand Oak area this is the best boba. Overall this location has a better environment. I love that there is a loft where you can hang out at. At this CHAKAA I would recommend their milk tea, I have gotten a few fruit teas, and they were a tad weak flavor-wise. Thirst quenched with the jasmine milk tea! It was floral and refreshing. Boba was decent. No restrooms available to customers- almost certain this is illegal for restaurants... I feel like they changed management or something because now this place sucks :( they got a kiosk where you can order yourself however this means you will NOT get your drink in order. I got my drink last and watched everyone that was in line after me, which was about 10 people, get their drink before me (I waited over 25 minutes) because they didn't track the order. My drink also tasted horrible and nothing like its tasted before. I always get a strawberry milk tea and I watched the worker make the entire thing with milk and then just add 4 real strawberries. THEY FORGOT THE TEA PART. The drink itself was literally white, that's how much milk they used! It's a legit boba place, originating from Arcadia, complete with random English phrases on their drinks that don't really make sense in this context. They have all your classic flavors, but I especially love their mango pomelo coconut drink. I love the aesthetics of this little boba shop -- so clean, minimalistic, simple, cute, and spacious!! There is an upstairs seating area in addition to the downstairs seating, making it a great place to study if you are a student/meet with friends! The prices are slightly expensive and there is only one size to choose from. There are a lot of different flavors to choose from. Very cute and delicious place. Family owners are awesome, friendly, and quick to bring out freshly made drinks. We loved our adorable Thai iced tea with almond milk and lucuously soft and sweet boba. I thought the Mango Coconut Pompelo (mango with milk and coconut) was alright, tasted a bit bitter, but LOVED the strawberry cheezo (iced strawberry blended drink with milk cheese foam on top). I appreciated the air conditioned chairs and tables seating on the first and second floor on a hot SoCal day and especially was so very happy with the cute bubble tea boba plushies everywhere and kawaii aesthetic. Thank you to the owners and cofounders of this place for sharing your yummy and adorable Taiwanese drinks with us. My house milk tea was delicious! The boba was tasty and perfect consistency, and the tea was not so sweet that you couldn't taste the actual tea. My only complaint is that the lid of my cup didn't actually seem to fit the cup and kept popping off, but that was likely just a defective lid. They were both okay, although I wouldn't re on end the watermelon boom, I would try something else. Maybe pineapple . I would go there again, but there are much better places in LA county. We go here a lot. You can order from the kiosk or in person if they aren't busy. Never had any problems with ordering and the teas have always tasted great with fresh boba that is never too hard. We especially like how you can adjust the sugar level. I LOVE this tea shop! I'm working through the menu and loving everything so far. I tend to put Boba and Jelly in my drinks, and it's too bad they are 15 minutes from my home because I'd probably go there weekly. The ingredients taste fresh, and the workers, even when they have lines and it's busy, always have a smile and are kind. The atmosphere is also quiet, with upstairs and downstairs seating. I wish the plushies they have for sale in the store were more reasonably priced so I could buy them for my kids here and there.
