Stopped in for the first time for a Sunday lunch. Was surprised to find a nice buffet, so we went with that. The food was all really fresh and flavorful and I thought it was a great deal. There were both veg and meat options and the buffet includes tandoori chicken and bread for the table. The space is really nice, great ambiance. We are looking forward to going back very soon.

My husband and I went out for a date night at Chakra and oh boy was it some of the best Indian food we've had in awhile. We arrived around 5:30 on a Saturday evening with no reservations (which was our bad). The hostess and manager (owners?) were kind enough to seat us even though it became packed around 6:30. We will know better to make reservations next time. We began with an order if Samosas which were packed with flavorful spiced potatoes and peas. Even the dough was delicious! It was a great way to start our meal. We couldn't decide what we wanted to eat for dinner and our waitress suggested that we share two dishes, which was a great idea! We ordered the Chicken Tikka and Chicken Korma. We also ordered two different naan, the Tandoori Naan and the Garlic Naan. Oh man, everything was SO amazing! We ordered it at a medium spice level and at first I was concerned that it would be too spicy, but it was just right. Everything had such a good flavor. The cashew based gravy was amazing, and of course having some rice as a base always brings everything together nicely. The atmosphere was very lovely and we had such a nice dinner. Chakra is BYOB so when we received the check it was a great price point for a nice dinner out. We are already talking about returning as soon as possible!

New Indian spot in Morristown hits. Traditional flavors executed at a high level that doesn't break the bank and appropriate portion sizes. Well decorated interior, clean and SUPER friendly staff. If you're in Morristown and looking for a new Indian fix this is it! The palaak chat was simply amazing, definitely unique not found everywhere - would recommend!

Excellent food and amazing service. This was our first time trying Indian cuisine and we went on a recommendation from a friend . This place exceeded my expectations. The ambience and decor was unique , vibrant colors and silk flower foliage throughout . The manager , Rex, was extremely helpful and even made suggestions based on our palate. The food was absolutely delicious, making our experience unforgettable. Aden was our waitress and she was lovely . I can't say enjoy positive things and I am looking forward to returning very soon. The Garlic Naan was unreal We tried so many different preparations with the meal we got and the flavor was beyond amazing. My fave was the Chicken Tikka Masala . Well done Chakra!!

Chakra features an all-you-can eat buffet for lunch Monday through Friday (priced at $19 during the soft opening) featuring a wide variety of traditional non-veg and vegetarian Indian favorites like tandooris, paneers, and masalas. The friendly, personable staff is always happy to recommend dishes if you let them know your preferences and dietary restrictions. The lunch buffet includes six or seven entrees as well as basmanti rice, a garden salad, and rice pudding for dessert. Naan is available upon request. I've enjoyed the Bhuna Ghosht, a slow-cooked lamb infused with a selection of Punjabi spices, as well as the Chana Masala, comprised of chickpeas, onions and tomatoes cooked in a thick sauce, and the Yellow Split Pea Daal, comprised of yellow split peas simmered with ginger and spices -- all of which were very tasty and very filling. I'd like to see Chakra offer additional appetizers such as samosas or pakoras and (non-dairy) dessert options. Chakra is a BYOB establishment, so feel free to bring your favorite wine or beer to enjoy with your lunch or dinner. PRO TIP: Chakra doesn't have a private parking lot, but there is plenty of on-street parking off South Street, including the municipal parking lot just a block away at the intersection of Elm Street and Franklin Street. Bring change or use the ParkMobile app for the meters ($1 per hour) Monday through Saturday from 8am til 6PM; all street meters are free Monday through Saturday after 6pm and all day on Sunday.

Delicious northern Indian fare served in a quiet dining room decorated with tree branches and flowers, like inside meets outside. My desi buddies and I tried pakoras (fried onion and fried potatoes), chicken kebabs covered in onion (fantastic), also daal (black lentil), chicken in masala and lamb in masala. The curries were served family style with a huge pot of fresh rice. Those super thick rich cream sauces had almost no heat and our server didn't ask us if we wanted mild or spicy, next time have to speak up. A side of naan was properly dripping in butter, a side of roti was properly dry & hot. Vegetarian rating: 4 stars for the many entree choices at dinner: aloo gobi (potatoes), bhindi (okra), chana (chickpeas), saag paneer (cheese) and dal (lentil). They serve buffet at lunch for about $19, order from the menu at dinner. That dinner menu was labeled "soft opening menu" so I think it might get longer with time. Bring your own Kingfisher (or any other :) beer and enjoy this new addition to Morristown.

There was some heat to both dishes but that's traditional for Chana masala.

So he falsely posted on Yelp he had refunded me. So what, huh? So I had to get the Better Business Bureau involved. Who cares, right? Now that they forced him to pay, I care less. But I had gone here hoping all the hype about the nice guy host true. However, personally seeing him repeatedly screaming at his staff was the stake through heart of the self-promoted image of the nicest restaurant host. Apparently an act. Everyone has a rough day time to time, tempers flare for us all: we are human. But from the repeated tirades I witnessed well within view and earshot of other patrons on April 11, 2026, I do not believe the outbursts were isolated incidents. So if you ever go, if you see something, post something. Never in a lifetime of patronizing peaceful pleasant Indian eateries have I ever seen such abusive treatment of staff. Anger and bullying have no home in Indian restaurants or anywhere.

The restaurant is located in a plaza and it doesn't look big from the outside but it was big and there were lots of tables inside. The staff were friendly and made suggestions when we asked. We ordered Malai chicken kebab, chicken momos, and gobi Manchurian. The gobi Manchurian was really good. The best I've had. The cauliflower lightly battered and fried and covered in the Manchurian sauce. I wasn't impressed with the chicken momos. They were plain. The malai chicken was good. For entrees we ordered, goat curry, paneer balti, and garlic naan. The paneer balti was good and different. My husband enjoyed the goat curry. The garlic naan was okay. Tripple rice (its combo of nooldes+rice+manchurian balls in schezwan gravy) was really good, took me back to Mumbai days, but they should have added chicken pieces in their rice as well, not sure why they are not adding it. The chicken was only present in the form of Manchurian balls. coming to Sizzler- that was definitely not worth $30. It's the same fried chicken, sauteed in chicken 65 or schezwan gravy with a small ball of rice. I did not find anything special with this item, so I would skip it for sure next time Apart from that- they have like tons of options on their menu and it is a very popular chain in India. would definitely try again!

Sadly they were out of the truffle chicken masala. We opted for the butter chicken - also delicious and rich. Palak paneer - always nice to see the spinach version. Very good. Both were great with the garlic and butter naans... sopped up with the naan or rice, delicious. The 'Rarha' Lamb Chops were ok, overcooked until the bone crumbled so a bit hard to pick up, cutting it was a bit tough, and the mustard-tumeric potatoes were very good but heavy. BYOB. Menu completely online and somewhat hard to see -- bring a big phone. Street or muni lot parking. Servers were pleasant but often busy cleaning up - a bit of dropping things all night - customers knocked over their lights, dishes fell, glasses broke - I felt like it was a Jewish wedding with all the wares falling on the floor mid-way through dinner. Portions are solid and they also gave to-go bags for the leftover naan and boxes for the leftover dishes.

The Kofta was rich and perfectly balanced, while the Achari and Sharabi Kebabs stood out -- flavorful, well-marinated, and cooked beautifully in the clay oven. Overall Great experience!
