Beautifully decorated Thai restaurant and very delicious food. We came here for a late lunch and other than the fried rice being too salty, all the other dishes were great. Thai ice tea was made perfectly. I like that each dish had different veggie pairings and were different tastes, which made it a better overall experience. I had not expected to find such a gem of place in the Clear Lake area. My absolute favorite item from the meal was the mango sticky rice, not only was it beautifully plated in the shape of a heart, it tasted amazing! The service was good and bathroom was clean. Here we go. It's another review by yours truly. I do have to compliment the server on his attentiveness to eagerly please. The ambiance was lovely, except for the bench seat. They were white once but now stained with some black goo. Not appealing. The teriyaki chicken was yummy, but the BBQ chicken was not what BBQ chicken should be. They gave me dried chicken with veggies. Additionally, I ordered tofu but got nothing. Not to mention the potstickers; they were burnt on the bottom and lacked flavor. Feeding four people was over $100, and the food was subpar. It was highly overpriced, and the food was below standards. But I have to say that the desserts were very yummy. Will I be returning to this place? My answer is no; I'm sorry to say I would not return. Overall, please do better, Mom and Pop Shop. Great place hidden away in Clearlake. Nice outdoor seating on a beautiful day, we started with the wontons which were nice but not breath taking. Moved to the pad kee mao which was tender and flavorful. The chicken was spicy and full of character. Then went to the basil chicken which is minced chicken. Again wonderful aroma and subtle but powerful spice. Then the red curry beef was the star. A wonderful medley and combination of zucchini and other veggies with the beef. The seasonings are really there, the service was excellent and the Thai tea was delicious. Possibly favorite Thai tea I've had. It was crowded and the food came out in a timely matter and everything. The only thing that was a slight disappointment is that the meat for all dishes were super dry. I had the Pad Se Yew beef and hubs had Basil Chicken along with an appetizer of fresh rolls. I love taking people from out of town there I could take people who are vegetarian or don't eat certain meat or fish and they can always find something. The food is great. The service is good. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and remembered us on our subsequent visits - making it even better to dine-in! The patio is metal patio furniture, while the interior is pretty standard, classic tables/chairs with a Thai feel. I can understand this may be the best Thai food option in Lake County. But if you're visiting and looking for authentic flavors, unfortunately Chalerm really doesn't cut it. It's decent, portion is good and service is good too. 1) Green curry (Pork) - the use of canned bamboo shoots was a little turn off but not a major concern. Definitely lack lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves in the green curry paste. That's the soul of green curry unfortunately. No Thai eggplant...only zucchini 2) Prat Phrik Khing (tofu) - flavor is good but not the authentic prat phrik khing flavor that I was looking for. Again, lack of lemongrass and heat. The sauce suggests that coconut cream or coconut milk powder may have been used 3) Thai BBQ chicken - regret ordering this. The chicken was very dry and could pass as soy+sugar chicken. There was absolutely no lemongrass in the marinate and the chicken looked like it was cooked for a long time and potentially reheated before serving. I am just glad my puppy enjoyed the chicken so we didn't have to waste any food. Sorry! I could have ordered Pad Kee Mao instead! read more

Superb Thai food in a little lake town. Clearlake has very few eating spots, so when Yelp showed me a well rated Thai restaurant, we made our way over to try it out. We are not disappointed. Welcoming vibe to the place, great large picture windows that frame two beautiful Japanese maple trees, which are perfectly pruned. We ordered the calamari, which was crispy, light and not oily. The papaya salad was just ok, I was expecting more flavor and heat in this. The jalapeño chicken was flavor full as was the star of the meal which was the Tom yum soup. The sticky rice is wrapped in plastic with sauce and mango separated. You have to make it yourself. Personally I think they should try serving it for takeout as it is in the restaurant. There was one person running the front phones, dine -in, and to-go. We waited a long time for drinks and food. I got a green beef curry which they charge you for the rice. It was almost $20 for a small bowl of the curry and an extra $3 for rice. I've never been charged for rice separately and I've had curry 100s of times. I asked to take my leftovers to go and was given a small container that would barely fit the liquid part and was given attitude when asked for a second.
