Grading on a curve, because our expectations were low, and this food was a lot better than expected! And better than it looked. For a takeout order, we got: Pad kee mao: It came with American-style broccoli (which we could have anticipated), and the noodles were pretty ripped up (likely had been fresh noodles bought out of town, but refrigerated overnight or longer)--but it was tasty--and quite spicy! Thai Street Favorite: worst thing I can say is that the egg was fried HARD. One of the joys of this dish is enjoying a runny yolk seeping into the meat. But it did otherwise taste good, and was actually much spicier than anticipated (ordered this dish mild, was afraid that would mean bland). Definitely worth another go if I'm in town at dinnertime. read more

Wow am so much in love with this restaurant, the food was very delicious and quality was more than enough for one single person. I ordered 1 plate Shrimp tempura (5 pieces) one bowl of chicken red curry and ordered 2 plates of rice separately and one plate of Thai chicken fried rice. I came here with my husband along with my daughter for lunch. One bowl of red curry was more than enough for two people as after our meal was done a-lot was left so I had to box them even the gravy I had to box it. They served our food within 3-4 minutes it was very fast as well as super delicious. Best part which I liked about this restaurant is the people were very welcoming and had smiles on their face. My little family and I were traveling for a few days and my kid don't eat fast food. We were looking for something they would eat. Decided on Thai food and made a stop after getting gas. My kids loved it. My daughter ate mostly mushrooms and shrimp. My son ate chicken, mushrooms and rice. I haven't seen them eat so much in a few days since we started traveling. Service was great. Wow! What a find! U would never have expected to find amazing Thai food in the little town of Ukiah. I was tired so I decided to door dash and Thai food sounded good. I ordered a Mussaman curry with rice. The dasher was quick but my order arrived without the rice. The smell coming from the bag was so tempting that I tasted it right away. It was deliciousness. Then I had to get rice so I could eat it. I called the restaurant and they apologized and offered to bring me rice. Nice I got everything together, it was one of the best Thai meals I've had in years. The broth was creamy and perfectly spiced. I chose medium heat and it was just on the edge of what is too hot. It made my nose run and my eyes water. Loved it! Now I've never eaten at the restaurant but I will next time I'm in Ukiah. The person who brought me the rice was so kind and accommodating. Tried this restaurant twice and loved it both times! The first visit was takeout and the second was dining in--both meals stayed fresh and full of flavor. I grew up eating plenty of Thai food in SF, and this place absolutely lives up to that standard. we decided to try this, Tye offering in Ukiah instead of the regular spot. We go to further up north State Street in the Victorian house. The service was OK, the food was fresh, and the server had a bit of a hard time understanding us because English was the second language. We've eaten Thai food all over the country in the world, and this was somewhat unique. It seem to have different ingredients than we are usually seen and things like Penang beef curry, which included skinned potato pieces that were cooked, al dente, and the egg noodles dish was also unique. The seating was nice, and the wall photos and such were accurate and beautiful, is one yelper said earlier. All in all, I think we'll stick with the other Thai restaurant up the street, as it is closer to the traditional Thai food that I've had in southern and central Thailand, both the east and west coast of America, and in Canada. read more

We ordered egg rolls, satay, potstickers, papaya salad, chicken fried rice, and orange chicken. Everything was ready in about 15 minutes, and was cooked perfectly; standouts were the papaya salad and the (unexpectedly) orange chicken. Both had lots of flavor, but the orange chicken was especially bright and flavorful without being fried. The staff were helpful, polite, and very friendly. We have three meals from UTC. The first experience, about three weeks after they opened was fantastic. Unfortunately our other two experiences were poor. I should say all three orders were to go. The second time it took over two hours to get our food and the order was wrong on two of the three dishes. Today takes the cake. Ordered pad Thai and noted we wanted American spicy not Thai spicy - trust me there's a huge difference. It was served with, I kid you not, nearly an eighth of an inch of chili. I ordered the pad kee mao. The portion is half of what I've had before, it lacks its usual flavor and there were about five pieces of protein. Here's the icing on the cake: they tried to send me off without my soup, I had to ask for it. On top of it all, there wasn't a single customer in the restaurant. Food's pretty good but man they need to get their act together. Edit: I called and asked that they remake my food. Still didn't get the spices right-they left out all chili entirely. My noodles had better flavor but still not right. Good on them for trying to make it right. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll spend my money with them again. I had such high hopes for a better Thai place than the other one in town who are a total disaster. Edit 2: I just found a piece of metal scrubber in my food. I'm so done. read more

Have been a few times, once there was a new chef and you could tell... but I like to give places a chance when they are trying to make positive changes... it was good then, but the last two times have been great! My partner gets the crispy tofu salad and it has been so delicious and the crispy tofu IS REALLY CRISPY, and delicious and the salad is a delight unto itself. It has a very flavorful more savory type dressing. I even stole a piece or two of his crispy tofu for myself. It is definitely a meal salad and he enjoys it along with the veggie spring rolls on the side. I chose the Red Curry with Vegetables lunch combo with came with the rice and spring roll. We are pleased to see vegetarian / vegan options and have them be delicious too. The service is very friendly. We will be back and recommend it to others. read more
