7/6/2025: My First-Born Daughter and I ordered Miss Saigon Rice Plate, Fresh Salad, Combination Fried Rice, Seafood Pho, and two lemonade drinks; Miss Saigon's Chefs served us more than we could possibly inhale by Monday, i.e., more than likely, we'll be happily inhaling delectable leftovers until, Wednesday afternoon! Great service. Also opens late. If you're craving Vietnamese food - this is pretty reasonably authentic. Is this the best Vietnamese I've ever had? Of course not - that's the OC or San Jose, but for being this far away this place gets 5 stars for a solid attempt, very reasonable prices. You can't beat 13 dollar for a bowl of pho in California. i walked in here thinking would get some Pho with this strange cold summer weather we've had this week. After reading the menu I saw this was way more than Pho, but Sushi and Some Thai, my 3 favorite things. i ordered a Pliney the Elder (IPA) and Nigiri and this did NOT disappoint! i also ordered a roll and it as well didn't disappoint. This review was a slow Thursday evening and there were only a few tables seated. The service was fast, and polite. The food was great and the price was ok for the geography. I was back in Ukiah, and I remember my great meal from last time, so I decided to come to the restaurant this time. It was clean, and everybody was friendly and helpful. This time I ordered the catfish, and a Miss Saigon beef vermicelli bowl. The catfish was delicious. Lightly breaded, it had a good crunch, and was not greasy at all. It came with a sweet-and-sour sauce that had just a little bit of a "kick" to it. Not too spicy for me. The vermicelli bowl came with a pork eggroll, three grilled prawns, carrots, chopped peanuts, and the nuoc Cham. The vermicelli bowl was very good. The eggroll was not greasy, and it had a good crunch and flavor. I loved the prawns, the carrots were pickled nicely, the peanuts provided a good crunch, and the vermicelli was just the right texture. Once again, I loved the "funk" that the nuoc Cham brought to the table. The only thing I could say, is while the beef was delicious, it was a bit chewy for my personal taste. Other than that, a total home run. The price was reasonable, as I had the leftover catfish for breakfast, and then the leftover vermicelli bowl later in the day. Was recommended by Holiday Inn to try. Perfect night for Pho. Surprised at size of restaurant. Quickly greeted and directed to back portion which has bar and tables. Full service bar. TVs. On the way passed small sushi bar. Was quickly greeted by my server Hercules who was so friendly, gave reco's on Pho and made my experience a 5! Ordered the Chicken Pho and I could spice it up as needed with chili's. Came with bean sprouts, lime, lemon and mint leaves. Came out hot and smelled good. Perfect size small. Loads of noodle some red onion and white meat chicken. Would have like some more chicken. Taste was good. Added some red chili. Also ordered some Nigiri, Sake and Ikura. Smaller size but tasty and fresh. They do have several craft beers. And for a rainy night they had several large tables of guests. Will come again and try more items. read more

I ordered the catfish claypot meal which I have ordered on several occasions. The last time however it was over salted. It was obviously a mistake by the cook, and I did not take it to heart. I simply ordered lunch elsewhere for a few months. I finally summoned up the courage to try again from them, first explaining my last experience. I was told that since I did not have a good experience the last time, they would not be taking my order as they did not want any bad reviews. I have never written a review before but felt compelled to do so. I am one of the Doctors at Adventist Hospital and have not only recommend this restaurant to colleagues and pharmaceutical reps but have also placed large orders for my staff on several occasions. Obviously, whoever I spoke with did not know this and maybe didn't even care. The true measure of good service is not how you treat customers who place large orders but how you treat everyone regardless of status or order size. First time here and everyone from work that stays at the hotel says try it so I did. The spicy tuna hand rolls are really good and the pot stickers are to. I got the fried rice with everything in it and it was ok. Chicken and shrimp really didn't have flavor and the calamari was chewy. Besides that it wasn't bad. There was no one in there and the service was ok. The ambiance was nice and the place was clean. So my opinion the sushi was really good the rice was ok. We were so disappointed in the food at Miss Saigon Pho and Bar. It just wasn't very flavorful at all and not very satisfying. To begin with, the menu is huge! They're trying to do numerous Asian cuisines and have definitely failed miserably with the Vietnamese (can't speak to the others). The menu had 8 pages and that didn't even include the separate menu they gave us for the sushi and, probably, other "Japanese" dishes which we didn't look at. We ordered the summer rolls to share and they were so bland. The peanut sauce that came with them didn't help much because the sauce wasn't very tasty. My friend had the vermicelli bowl with fried spring rolls and, while there were lots of spring rolls included, they were rather dry and hard. She ended up taking them out of her bowl and putting them on the communal plate to share. I had the vermicelli bowl with beef and the beef was so dry that it was hard to swallow. The veggies in the bowl were rather limp and not very satisfying. The nuoc cham that came with the vermicelli bowl didn't have enough flavor to liven up the dish, so it was pretty much useless. I feel bad giving them 2 stars because they were nice and they tried to be helpful when we asked questions about the dishes, but it's hard to give them more than 2 stars for the food. read more

First time in Ukiah and searching for a lunch spot. Hubs craving noodles and this came up after doing a quick search. Decided to check it out. Ordered Vietnamese ice coffees - pretty good. Not too sweet, good coffee flavor and not bitter. Also started off with the Miss Saigon roll ($15.99) - real crab meat and eel topped with fish roe. We liked it - tasted fresh. Hubs ordered the pho ($15.99). The soup, unfortunately, was very light and didn't have too much flavor. I ordered the catfish clay pot ($12.99?) which comes with a plate of rice. Good amount of catfish and ok flavor but nothing that stood out particularly about the dish. Service was good, on the other hand. She checked on us and we didn't feel rushed. We used to love this place. The food was always great. However the two times we have been under the new ownership the food has been terrible. Seems like it's several days old and it's just reheated. We tried twice just to make sure the first time wasn't a fluke and sure enough it wasn't. Sushi is super fishy. Fried rice looks like it's been cooked several times over. Between the last time I ate here and now it has changed owners. Ms Emily is no longer around to make sure everything is right. The quality of the food was beyond miserable. I should have known something was wrong when we entered the empty parking lot. I thought they might be closed. We walked in and the man at the front counter said, "Old owner sold the place." I asked the waitress if the food was the same. She replied, "Of course!" I should have known it wasn't the same because the place was empty and all the while we were seated, no one came in. I ordered the vermicelli bowl with beef. It came out with these paper thing cut sheets of beef. Weird and coated with some sort of sauce. Just terrible. Yan stir fry noodles looked terrible. Yuck. It doesn't look as good on the outside as it is on the inside. Don't judge the book by the cover ‍. The menu is Chinese, Vietnamese and sushi real fusion here but not confusion. I got the fried catfish for appetizer, Vinny did butterfly shrimp also fried, both were delicious but mine is top on my list from now on, was so crispy and tender at the same time, yummy! I'm so grossed out... First of all, the food isn't great. But what was disgusting was this: A woman came in and handed a baby to the female employee at the sushi station. She proceeded to breast feed her baby at the counter. When she was finished feeding her child, she fixed herself and buttoned up her shirt. The woman left with the baby and the female employee started scrolling on her phone for a good 5-10 minutes. She didn't bother to wipe the sushi counter or wash her hands before starting to make someone's sushi. I'm all for breast feeding, but my goodness... wash the counter where your baby was laying and wash your hands!!!! They were really slow and there was another waitress leaning on the bar and scrolling on her phone. She eventually put her phone in her pocket and proceeded to get some utensils ready to put out on the tables. Again, there was no hand washing. Do they know how dirty phones are? This reminds me of my trip to Saigon. I met many people and had a very wild time. Did you know, it's possible to go to Vietnam and not have any vietnamese food? It is! I do not recommend it, but it's very possible. Anyway, as I walk down the dilapidated streets, I am met with many fascinated looks because white people are a bit of a rarity in this part of the world. I would spend much of my time on Phố đi bộ Bùi Viện, the wonderful walking street full of excitement and diversity and booze. Loads of booze. You must ask yourself, "Do I eat food, or do I replace meals with alcohol?" Well lemme tell you friend - ya always go for the booze! And THAT'S how ya end up not eating any of the local cuisines! Would I do it again? Hell yeah. But I would probably just extend my trip so I could have filler days where I didn't have to drink like crazy. Maybe like, 3 on, 1 off, kinda deal. I've recently had dinner here, Crispy Chow Mein. Loved it. Went for lunch & ordered a Bahn Mi sandwich w chicken. By far the worst. I threw up on my way home. The chicken tasted off. I pulled it out & glad I did. One piece had a gross layer of yellow chicken fat stuck on it. It also had a ton of what tasted like Kewpie. I'll stick to SF for my sandwich!
