Right off of Main Road in downtown Willits. Parking was super easy. Restaurant and Restaurant are both very clean. Staff is very, very friendly. The vegetarian avocado and tofu summer rolls were superb. Peanut sauce was freshly made. Great find! read more

Tasty bowl of pho on a rainy day is hard to beat. I had the beef with medium spice, partner had the veggie with tofu, mild. Generous portion of noodles, service was fast and left us alone, and we had the whole place to ourselves, so the ambiance was perfect. Nice place to stop if you happen to be in or driving by Willits. read more

Tasty food. This was one of the only Willits restaurants open on Halloween and it really hit the spot. They also let us order lunch specials about an hour after lunch ended. I had what I believe was called the sweet basil with tofu. Tofu was cut a bit smaller than I like, but they crisped it well, and there were plenty of fresh veggies. Comes with rice and wonton soup, or tofu soup for vegetarians. The broth had a lovely comforting savory flavor. My girlfriend got a green curry, and this is where I think the negative reviews are coming from: the balance of spices was flawless butttttt the sauce was much thinner than elsewhere. I'd still eat the hell out of it honestly, but some might be thrown off. The server was quite friendly and outgoing and came and chatted with us while we waited for our meals. This is the worst Thai foods I ever have. Nothing taste right, every taste is totally off from the original foods taste in Thailand. We ordered Pad Thai, it taste funny like it is using some kind of sweet n sour sauce; Onion rings are small but taste just alright; Green Curry it is not even Green n thick like curry, it is way too watery; Mango Sticky Rice the mango is not supposed to be slices it supposed to be square or big chunks, Boba Tea ... the waiter gave me a small straw n i asked for the big one n when the big straw came OMG the boba is bigger than the big straw so boba can't even suck it up i have to use spoon?! I'm giving them four stars, because they were very kind, they have been open for less than a year. I was the only customer there for lunch, because they just opened. I was going to order for to-go, but they had back patio seating. Big Plus. It seems like a husband and wife running this place. Craving shrimp spring rolls and Pad Thai. That's exactly what I ordered. I wish the spring rolls had shrimp in it, but the peanut sauce was good. Pad Thai wasn't bad at all! I like how they had chunks of chicken breasts and it came with a few shrimps. The flavor was right. It wasn't too sweet! Added lime and it was perfect. I could have used more sprouts. Vegetarian alert!!! This humble town has this gem I may say, this is the best Vegetarian broth used for my Vegetarian pho.it is an intimidating big bowl of goodness but believe me even a small lady with a small tummy ate it all.sos o good. Juicy shrimp coconut is a good side dish for this soup that made me sweet. You can tell people respect the food they serve. Kudos to the chef..good good job!! Called and placed a order to go, enjoyed the coconut prawns, crab and cream cheese puffs and a plan stir fry chow main. The wait was a little over 25min. The food was good, coconut prawns could had a good flavor a little more crisp would be better, the puffs were delicious, but seemed to not notice the cream cheese. Stir fry was just how i liked. We were really pleased to find this little Thai restaurant during our family road trip. My whole family has a range of food allergies making it tricky to find good restaurant options for all of us while traveling. Plus the difficulty of finding outdoor seating during the pandemic. This little family restaurant offered dishes to please everyone in our family plus a small shaded outdoor seating patio in the back. With 90 degree plus weather, enjoying avocado fresh rolls on a shaded patio was a welcome break during our long drive. We enjoyed our first experience so much that we stopped for lunch here again on our long drive back home. read more

I've had the pad Thai (spicy) twice now. Personally I didn't think it was super spicy but it tastes great and a nice portion size for the price. Didn't take pictures but will next time! I also recommend trying the Thai iced tea. read more

This place is seriously great, i love it so much. When i need a break from the sun or the sound of cars Bangkok is where i go. It's quiet, perfectly temperature controlled, and the food is always good. Usually i just stop by for a couple minutes to get a thai coffee and chill out away from people for a bit. It's a very good place to go if you are socially anxious like me and want to munch behind the safety of a wall and some AC (and that is a good thing!!!) I don't think i've ever had a bad experience here. The staff is really nice, the atmosphere is top tier, and they get your food out at light speed. 100/10 read more

On a road trip from Arcata to Sacramento I stopped in wanting to grab a bite to eat on the road. I was thinking spring rolls so I stopped in this Thai/ Pho place. There was a bit of a miscommunication because what I think of as spring rolls they call fresh rolls. The owner offered me a free soda while I waited. Anyways, the rolls turned out to be the best I'd ever had. There was an amazing mix of greens that gave it such great flavor. The peanut dipping sauce is incredible. Although, it was tough to dip the rolls while driving. I'll definitely stop here again on the way up and down the North Coast. read more

We have gotten takeout food from Bangkok several times. Tonight I was so frustrated to drive home only to discover that the vegetarian pumpkin curry I ordered was packed with chicken! This is the second time they have put meat in a dish - a couple of months ago, I ordered vegetarian Pad Thai and when I got home discovered that it had chicken and shrimp in it. Although they offered to replace it, I didn't want to drive 20 minutes back to the restaurant to do that. Don't think I will be back... read more

Open patio in the back for dine in and the food is really good a little different then what I'm use too from other Thai restaurant. My fav dish from the menu has to be the deserts mango with sticky rice it's has just the right amount of sweetness. I will come back soon if I'm passing by. read more

I went here for a date...food was pretty bad. I want to support local businesses but I don't think I'll come back here. The Panang curry was really watery and the beef with broccoli tasted off and had a weird oily rainbow look to it. My date took it home and told me his dog wouldn't even eat it . The Thai iced tea and the chicken satay app were the only redeeming things from my experience here unfortunately. read more

I was hesitant to try this place after reading some reviews, but I am so glad I did. The staff is so friendly.. we had coconut shrimp to start. It was some of the best I've had. My fiance had Panang chicken and loved it. He likes it extra spicy and they did not disappoint him. I had Singapore style with beef and it was so darn good. Very fresh. Cuisine is inconsistent but respectable. Certain dishes are well crafted, genuine and quite delicious--others are not. However, this restaurant is dirty. Unsanitary wherever you look. And your arms will "stick" to the table. It's dirty and sticky. And there are no table cloths or paper sheets. The place has a nagging smell of a raunchy bar. It does not smell good and it is dirty. The management hasn't a clue as to how to run a restaurant. Some culinary talent is there but it is negated by an utter insensitivity to the environment. read more

Called in today and Ordered the same thing I have 10 times before and it seemed like the cook had no idea on how to make it, completely different type of chicken and sauce. On top of that the chicken was soggy and the sauce was cold! So what was made wasn't even made good. But every other time i have gotten it it has been great so I don't really know what happened. read more

The lady that helped us was really nice as we ordered our order to-go. I went with 2 crispy pastor tacos, lingua street taco, and an elote. Upon getting our order, I asked for extra hot sauce stating I would like the hottest one they had. I LOVE hot and spicy food and sauces. She tells me they have a very spicy chili oil but it's extra. You better believe I paid for the super spicy chili oil. The oil was amazing. The chilis were blended down into a thick paste in the oil. She told me to be careful since it can irritate your skin. I started with one of their tortilla chips and dip a little corner in to try it. The flavor had a smokiness to it. It is similar to thai chili oil. It was spicy but it was manageable. I proceeded to cover my crispy tacos in globs of it. Well, the heat builds hahaha my lips were puffy from eating so much and my mouth was on fire a little but I didn't feel like I was dying. Some water helped clear it up. If you like spicy, this oil is definitely something to try. Be careful if you don't normally eat very spicy. The crispy pastor tacos were pretty good. The pastor was seasoned a little different than what I have ever had when ordering pastor but still good flavor it was just a little on the salty side. I probably will change meat type next time. The tacos came with lettuce, cheese, cilantro, and a little pico. I asked for no sour cream. The tortillas have great flavor and were super crispy. There was a lot of extra lettuce, which I appreciate. My tripa street taco came with radish and a grilled jalapeños tucked inside the tinfoil which was a nice surprise since I thought it was just the taco. The tripa was fried nicely and was crispy. The flavor was simple but good. This taco wasn't salt which I liked. I covered this in chili oil as well lol. I also got an elote that I didn't take a picture of. I think by the time I ate it the heat had caused it to sweat a little so the toppings were dripping off a little. The flavor was good. Not too much not too little tajin so it was good for me. The elote was ok. I probably shouldn't have eaten in hot. Don't know if I would order it again. I love this place. It was a pleasant surprise for sure. I will absolutely be stopping here again on long trips out of town. My boyfriend loved his food. That's my experience of Northspur. I've never stopped here with friends, but I've thought of my friends while I've visited. As in, this is a place my friends would really like. And, this: it feels like folks from around these parts that have friends come here with friends, and while they're here from all appearances they have a really good time. They could be faking but I don't think they are. The Willits bypass as observed by others and maybe other places by me was an unnecessary boondoggle that not only separated normal CA taxpayers from their money so as to avoid maybe five minutes extra travel time as they whisked north to ... to where would anyone need to be whisked in the north. I-5 is for whisking. 101 is for a different kind of trip. Not only that, the bypass also then has folks that don't know what's in Willits pass right on by. Their loss, though also a stake in the heart of the vitality of local business. Thanks, legislature, Caltrans and people that make money building things we don't need. This then for the people that would otherwise whisk by without stopping and are maybe hungry and turn to Yelp as the leave Ukiah to see what's ahead. Northspur is ahead, my friends. And if it's late in the day, get a room in town so you can sample every drop Northspur has to offer. The vittles aren't complicated, the menu isn't exhausting - but everything on it is good. The brewed offerings are delicious. Staff is straight out of Lake Woebegone (all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average). Friends with friends are having a rollicking good time and the vibe vibes with this happiness. I will stop every time. Try it once and I guarantee you will as well.

You could also find their food at Mariposa Market in the refrigerator case near the sandwiches. The Grab and Go just recently opened next to the Shanachie Pub. I don't think a lot of people know it is there because the opening was very quiet. It is not a restaurant, but a place to pick up Hatake Farm's delicious sushi and bento box offerings. I enjoy the sushi and picking up a roll has been a weekly thing for me when I didn't feel like cooking dinner for more than a year. I had never ordered on-line however. The other day, I was really curious about the new Grab and Go and ventured in. The space is beautiful. It is neat as a pin, quiet, and serene. The refrigerator is filled with SO MANY MORE OPTIONS than either their on-line menu or the offerings at the market. The prices are extremely reasonable. These rolls are made for taste with big nicely trimmed pieces of fish. I picked the hamachi and avocado roll which was big and only $12.50. The hamachi (my favorite raw fish) was really fresh and well cut. Avocado was perfectly ripe. It was absolutely delicious and probably the best sushi roll ever. It really is best to come to the Grab and Go, rather than the market, (although we love our market). But this is better. There are also a variety of lunch/dinner boxes that are simply stunning, with meat or fish, rice, home-pickled veggies and onions and lovely sauces. They also had a Poki bowl that I HAVE to try next because I love poki and this looked like it came off a page in a magazine. I also have to say something about the rice. They say a sushi chef must spend years perfecting rice before the sushi master will allow a student to do anything else. I believe it. Rice is harder than it looks. It is important that sushi rice is not mushy and that it is the right texture and that you can perceive every grain. I rarely see that. This guy has it down. The rice is perfect. It is really good. Right now, he has rolls, boxes, and poki bowls. I would love it if he started making nigiri! You should absolutely make it a point to come here as this is outstanding sushi, by any measure.
