Our daughter is currently in 3-year-old program at Challenger School - Almaden. This campus has been a great experience for our family. She simply loves this school. Safety measures during this Pandemic: As our daughter attends this campus (Challenger School-Almaden) we have experienced their amazing protocols for keeping the campus SAFE. They have incorporated the CDC and local health department requirements in order to keep the campus clean and their students and staff safe. Their commitment of implementing the following practices to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 which we as parents witness everyday while dropping and picking up our daughter at the campus. -- Face coverings (all staffs and students wear masks at all times), Physical distancing, Hygiene practices & Cleaning/disinfecting routines The amount of precaution and care this school campus takes to welcome the kids at arrival is amazing. Masks are required and our little girl puts on her mask all by herself while getting ready for school everyday and keeps it on throughout at school as well. Miss Geeta (The Program Director) says the kids they learn so much from each other. All the kids keep the masks on at all times in campus. Thanks to the teachers and staff: Miss Geeta, Miss Gayathrri & Miss Adriana. They take so many other measures above and beyond that words can NOT explain. You have to experience yourself, first hand. Teachers and Staff: Our heartfelt sincere THANK YOU to the Program Director, Miss Geeta, her class-teachers Miss Adrianna, Miss Gayathrri. Myself and my husband both with doctorate degree (Ph.D.) and working as engineers since almost two decades in the bay area have come across with many program directors both in academia as well as in industry. In our opinion Miss Geeta is the BEST program director we have ever met. She taught us how to make pick up and drop off a happy event. She genuinely loves & cares about all the kids. Miss Adrianna and Miss Gayathrri are extremely talented, loving, caring and understanding teachers. Whether it's Math, Science, English, Arts, Music or Yoga they teach and incorporate so effectively into these little kids. We've been incredibly impressed by the teachers skill-sets. Both Miss Gayathrri and Miss Adriana create the right atmosphere in the classroom, support and motivate students to sparkle their interest in learning tasks and helping them to focus while having lots of fun. Curriculum: Our little girl sings this song everyday while going to and coming from school in the car "Every day is a happier day, When we're learning The Challenger Way " Few days ago (March 1st), I asked my daughter what else did you learn today at school. She replied Music Magic, Mama. Then she went on saying our teachers Miss Gayathrri and Miss Adriana are very creative. We learnt an amazing song "Here Is the Beehive". At the close of the song, we enjoyed imitating the flight of the five bees by buzzing and waving our hands in the air. Then, she showed me her dance move while singing this song. THAT WAS ONE OF THE HAPPIEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE!!!! Social Scenes: Last month, my daughter said Mama, we are learning how to treat friends with respect. My teacher teaches us to manage our actions so we can make good choices. We were incredibly impressed with our daughter's progress in this preschool. Reading Readiness: Within 2 months of going to Challenger School - Almaden, she learned how to write all Alphabets (A to Z: upper case and lower case), Her vocabulary has increased significantly and she has been enjoying their reading program "Challenger Phonics Fun". She knows (reading and writing) all the five vowels. Last month, she told me, "Mama, Five Power Letters: a e i o u. These letters are special because they can say two sounds". She is learning all the diagraphs and their usage. Simply AMAZING!!! In her class the teachers have been building a foundation of visual and auditory concepts in reception, memory, and sequence. Science Sense Every month they LEARN and have FUN with so much science facts: Amphibians, Dinosaurs, Bees, Under the sea creatures, Solar System, foreign countries, their people, and customs, different modes of transportation and many more in their science class. Every day she comes home with so many colorful and fun artworks all related to these topics. Miss Gayathrri and Miss Adriana both her teachers are so resourceful and creative. Nimble Numbers We are super excited to see our daughter learning the fun game of Maths. This month she is learning "Adding and Subtracting". Our little girl told us that she learnt all about the founding father, President George Washington, the 16th president Abraham Lincoln and was excited to show us the related artworks she did in her classroom. As parents, it's gratifying to see our child excited about reading, math & science and keen to show off her new skillsets in artwork and music. We are so happy that our daughter goes to Challenger School - Almaden

I just have to write a recommendation for Almaden Country Day Schoo!. We have been there for 2…read moreyears and have had a GREAT experience. They came highly recommended and I was obviously looking for a school with academics as a priority. Math and Language Arts are THE integral part of the school day. I feel confident my child will be more than ready for the most prestigious high schools. One hundred percent of this year's graduating 8th graders applying to private high schools were accepted I just heard. Wow. The hands on Science program and "Maker's Space"(which teaches children coding, robotics, 3D printing, electronics, etc.) are both phenomenal and I cannot say enough about their Art, Music, P.E., Theater, Foreign Language and Library programs. The difference however, with ACDS is its focus on each child. The moment I enrolled I knew I was entering my child into knowledgeable hands under caring and dedicated teachers that would encourage his gifts as well as continuing with academic rigor. Whether it be their after school sports or enrichment programs as well as the over 40 electives in middle school, he would find "his" path. Since that day, my child has broadened both in his academic knowledge and most importantly, his self confidence. He is an 4th grader and loves his school! The tenured teachers, under an exceptional Head of School, encourage self exploration and provide the opportunity for each child individually to find their path while still adhering to curriculum. No school is perfect and I am totally aware...but they ask. In a yearly survey we are asked, How are things? How can we do better? Does your child feel challenged and accepted? Do you feel a part of your child's education and development? Do you and your child feel a part of the community? (Along with much more!) Its other accolade is their TLC program which is one of the only specialized programs of its kind in the Bay Area. It provides 4:1 ratio for children who need small group education (within perimeters) in Math, Language Arts and Social Studies while integrating for other studies into the larger classroom experience in preparation for high school. It is a supportive environment with specially trained teachers that allows children to feel confident in their learning. My child has benefitted tremendously from this program while still feeling accepted within the larger program. ACDS has intentionally planned for seamless transitions within children's daily routines. I encourage anyone interested to go to their website or an open house and see for yourself. I encourage you to talk to other parents! Several! Or even the kids (whom by the way give the open house tours.). Your school choice is a big decision I know. I was there. The more information the better so you can make the decision what is right for your child and your family. ACDS was the right choice for mine.

My son started in the toddler room and has now made it all the way through to pre-K -- he's thriving. My daughter started in pre-K and is now in the after-school program, so I feel like I've gotten a really full picture of how the teachers, directors, and enrichment programs operate. The directors and teachers are wonderfully communicative, and I've always felt comfortable asking questions and getting clear, timely answers. The environment is safe, clean, and well cared for, and I have complete faith in the school to provide both a nurturing space and meaningful learning opportunities. What I especially appreciate is how they treat every child as an individual and truly value their relationships with families. It never feels like a "money-making machine" where your child is just another number -- it feels personal, intentional, and community-focused. Toddler Town has been such a positive, stable part of my kids' early years, and I would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and enriching place for their children.

Moving my son from a quiet preschool into the energetic, social environment at Toddler Town was one of the best decisions we made. He blossomed--making friends, growing in confidence, and thriving in such a diverse and supportive setting. I'm so impressed with his handwriting, his growing grasp of math, his ability to recognize and write numbers up to 50, and even start reading sight words! What sets Toddler Town apart is the consistently excellent communication and genuine care: the small surprises like holiday treats, popsicles, or fun accessories make each day feel extra special and consistent communication through the bright wheel app and pictures. Neeka and Sarah (the owners) are hands-on and clearly devoted to the children's happiness and growth. Thanks to Toddler Town's strong focus on both academics and social development, I have no doubt he'll excel in kindergarten. We're deeply grateful to everyone at Toddler Town--you made this year amazing!

I feel so good about how I've been able to contribute to my son's education and to the development of all the students and parents. The work feels so important that rather than draining me, it ends up inspiring me. I know I'm modeling for my son what it means to not be a passive observer in an environment but to actively co-create it and tend to it. That is something I want for him as he grows up. And with safe and nurturing relationships as the base, it makes the play based learning work all the better. My son learns that he is capable, that what he thinks matters, and he relies on his own internal drive and curiosity to push him faster and further than any academic program could hope to do.
