My first time trying a Colombian hotdog and it did not disappoint! The only complaint i have is that the actually hot dog was small and thin in comparison to the large sized bread and toppings. I come in all the time during the day and I order the same thing - a burger with the works - I come in this one time late at night and I get a burger that is burnt black - the empanadas were stale and old. My sister has been raving about this place as having the best hot dog she'd ever had in her life. That is quite the claim! After a long delay she brought several dogs to my work for me and my co-workers. I must say that it was one delicious, and filling, hot dog! Don't expect it to be your typical dog. I'd say it's more of a hot dog interpretation. The hot dog is placed in a soft bun then cheese is melted on top along with a mixture of what we guess is mayo and crushed, almost pureed, pineapple. Sounds strange? Well then they sprinkle crushed potato chips on top! I'm not sure how they came up with this combination but it works! Sticky tables and chairs, the guy cleaned one table one time with Windex. Crumbs and stains all over the dinning room floor, spider webs that look like halloween decorations behind a TV in a corner. It's a nice place to have lunch around here. Food is Colombian authentic. Bandeja paisa is your best choice here. Burger is actually really bad. Bun is hard ( they toast them), lots of mayo and the patty it's well done you can't choose how you want it. Fries, fries are ok. So if you are around and this is one of your options, do Colombian food don't try to go for anything other than that here! Custermer service is good. They are always nice! Cool little Colombian joint that's open late during the weekend. You can come here at 3-4am and have yourself some Colombian junk food. I always get the Colombian hamburger or hotdog, but my favorite is the Colombian hotdog. Best hotdog you'll ever have in town....hands down! If you're in the area, make sure to stop by. Don't forget to order a Colombiana soda with your food. :) And maybe brush up on your spanish. lol Not too sure about their other foods though. I've never tried them. About a week ago I brought my boss a hamburger with everything. By the time I got back to work and started to eat, the burger was raw not even medium well. I've been a client of Chalos for almost 8 years, since all they had was a food truck. When I came back I mentioned to the man on the register and he didn't even say sorry. I didn't asked for a free meal, just a simple sorry would do. He said why didn't I say something, I said I am right now. Tiny little Colombian spot in a shopping plaza. The place could be kept up a bit. They have a few tables inside and some tables outside. I've heard the Colombian hot dog is pretty good, but I decided to go for the burger with fries. I've had a Colombian burger before and this one tasted just as good as the others I've had. Packed with a lot of goodness. Messy burger or I just don't know how to eat a burger correctly because my ish was falling apart lol. I didn't like the fries, tasted super bland. Even after I dipped it with sauce. I've also had the Cholao before. It's crushed ice, fresh fruit, condensed milk and fruit syrup topped with shredded coconut and maraschino cherries! Mmm. It was really good especially to eat for the summer. They also sell some snacks that are popular in Colombian, chips and such. I didn't like it because they tasted super stale and then I read the bag and it's expiration date was from 2 months ago. Oh okay, let's put that to the side. I really go for the columbian hot dog. It is delicious! Only complaint is that they sometimes randomly close during work days...

Food is good but the service is horrible !! Called ahead and was told that it would be a 15 min wait time. I'm a reasonable person and understand if it was 5 minutes extra I had to wait nope! Had to wait an extra 30 minutes !!!! That is just unacceptable , I don't mind if you tell that it is going to be long wait but don't tell is 15 min and it's actually 45. I get it straight up with the melted mozzarella, crushed pineapple and potato chips, it has a little mustard, green sauce (not sure what it is but it is good) and a ketchup mayo mix. I've been coming here as a late night fix of junk food for the passed 5 years. I have only ordered this and their salad fruit. Don't let the name confuse you, this is not a low calorie treat! They added this recently to their menu, I would say about 2 years. The fruit salad is very common in Colombia, but no where in Orlando could you find it before. Chalo now has it yay!! It has pieces of fruit if I can remember correctly it has melon, pineapple, grapes, and apples (It might have other fruits too). Scoops of vanilla ice-cream is then placed on top of the salad and then drenched with cream. It finishes with shredded cheese. I know what you're thinking if you're not familiar... Cheese? Really? YES!! And I will venture to say this is precisely the reason why it is so good!!! I guess all of you who are not familiar also questioned the pineapple in the hotdog, right? The best place to get a Colombian hot dog! My favorite in Orlando so far. We also got the choripapas (chorizo and potatoes) one time and took it to go, and on the way home the smell it left in the car was amazing, we couldn't wait to eat it at home. I also had the sandwich cubano which is not like a normal Cuban sandwich, but is still very good. The tostone mixto was pretty delicious as well. It was very nice to snack on with my girlfriend. My sister drove me all the way down from Winter Park to try a burger here (she's been going on about said burger the past two years). She told me her lack of spanish language skills two years ago had the older lady at the register refuse to serve her, until another customer stepped up and offered to help. When we went there last week though- this was not the case, as they have a full menu, also in english, with number combos by the register (and the guy at the counter spoke english). We ordered 2 of the burger combos and sat at one of the few picnic tables they had in this small place, hidden within a Colombian strip mall in South Orlando. Since both of us have only tried the burger, that's all I can speak to. What came out about 15 minutes later looked like one mess of a burger- seeded bun stuffed with a burger, maybe cheese, ketchup/mayo combo, potato sticks, pineapple chunks, lettuce, tomato, onion?- I'm sure there were more things loaded in there. While not your typical burger, it was tasty and something different. As the burger was so heavy and rich, it did give me a bit of an upset stomach later on, so I wouldn't add it to my weekly list of meals, but it's a really nice late-night spot, place to stuff your face if you're still a teenager, or a good food destination once in a blue moon. read more

The food quality is mediocre. I had a Colombian burger combo. The sauces on the burger were good, however, the burger meat tasted frozen, tough and flavorless. The burger patty was also small and was engulfed by the bread. I had to literally peel off all the bread around the burger which left me with a burger about the size of a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger at best. The fries had no seasoning on them, which was okay with me, but were mostly undercooked. I hate undercooked fries! I love hamburgers but definitely go for better quality at places like Burgerfi, Red Robin or even Backyard burger. They should invest in a better quality fresh meat that is actually the size of the bun, it would make their burgers a lot better! I won't be going back there, especially not for a burger. read more
