Excellent food and atmosphere! This was my first experience eating a Venezuelan meal and I was not disappointed at all! The arepas are very fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The grilled beef was seasoned and prepared well. The sauces added the perfect touch and did not overpower the other elements of the sandwich. With each bite you can taste that the meal was made with love. I enjoyed the family-friendly environment and felt very welcomed during my meal (I am not Venezuelan and Spanish is not my first language). Went here for dinner tonight. It's a Spanish speaking only, Venezuelan restaurant. We ordered the Taquenos, deep fried with cheese. Not bad tasting but the sauce is the typical too strong tasting garlic mayo. We also ordered the Hamburger sandwich. The hamburger bun was too soft and the whole thing tasted like garlic mayo, they put way too much of that stuff on. Even the burger beef had a garlic taste to it. The chicken arepas had a nice corn shell, but the inside tasted too much like mayo. I would suggest this place go easy on their garlic sauce and let the customer decide how much of it they want on their food. Service was slow, they don't move too fast here. read more

Went I was in the Doral, I saw was around me and this place show on the top of the list, very small I will say kind of hard to get a table, the concept is to order, and pay at the front and wait for your meal minutes later, they where kind of fast with my order. Serve is very friendly, super nice and very patient. I order the pastelito, with is a son of the empanada, but smaller, the same concept, the taste was very very Bueno, crunchy, very good baked like the one I used to have back on my high school days. I also order the hot dog name Salchiqueso with is a Venezuela hot dog and brings, Cheese, cabbage, tartara sauce, ketchup, grated potatoes, very big a lot stuff on it and very very good. For my main course, I order the patacon this one come with some chicken, Carne and I added extra cheeses on it. This Patacon was quite awesome! I recommend it How can you go wrong with using fried plantains instead of bread? I recommend anyone that is in the area and want some Venezuela food to come to this restaurant. read more

This is authentic Venezuelan fast-food from the western region of the country where the city of Maracaibo is located. I have been coming here for years, when they had the place 79th avenue. The food is the typical fast-food you would find in Maracaibo and is slightly different from the rest of Venezuela. Both are great and yummy. They sell crispy arepas stuffed with your favorite filling such as beef, pork, chicken or cheese. They also sell hot dogs, burgers, snow cones with condensed milk on top, Tequeños and cachapas which are sweet corn pancakes stuffed with soft cheese. If you have never tried this food I recommend you start with the Tequeños, everybody likes them specially kids. I usually order a crispy arepa filled with pork and cheese and also a hot dog with string fries and cheese. read more

This May be the best food I've ever eaten. Wow. This was sooo tasty! I couldn't decide what I wanted to order so I got it all. I got the Tequenos (reminded me of mozzarella sticks, but way better), the arepas (chicken and beef), the pasteles (empanada but smaller- STUFFED with chicken), chicken patacones (BLEW MY MIND SO GOOD), and the cheese cachapas (Freaking epic). I am usually a pretty crazy eater, but this was a ton of food. A TON. They do not skimp with the meats nor with the cheese. I was having a rough day in Miami after work and with traffic, and when I began eating this food it just brightened my day. This hands down was some of the best food I've had on my travels within the US. The beef reminded me a bit of shawarma. All the meats and poultry were very flavorful and the patacones was to diieee for! I everything was seriously amazing and you can tell it's a great authentic neighborhood place. It's also right across from the TownePlace suites hotel, so this is perfect after a long day. You can just walk over and get some of the best food, for a GREAT price. read more

A nice place to go to if you're craving Venezuelan fast food but it wasn't the best place I've been to, at least for the price. The cashier was very friendly but unfortunately the food did take a little longer than expected to come out. I'm going to have to agree with Faby here about La Coriana. But then again, even as a Venezuelan, I'm not used to their arepas. I'm assuming their arepas are those from the west side of Venezuela, by the state of Zulia along the Colombian border. You won't find grilled arepas - these are more like super-crispy, pan-fried - and dare I say it - Colombian style (their arepas remind me of La Moon's arepas which I'm not even crazy about). You won't find the Reina Pepiada - those are for the caraqueños, not the zulianos. And so it is - you get the patacones and anything fried here. Kind of disappointing though - this is not what I think of as typical Venezuelan street food. On top of that, I didn't think the chicken filling was that good. What really brings down the ratings though are several things: - this place is of grease - the smell is of oil inside - the menu seems incomplete and also falling apart And these things are pretty much inexcusable considering that they moved to this newer and nicer location from the dump in the warehouse district by 79th Avenue where they got their fame. I don't see myself coming back here. There's plenty of other places that do it better, especially in Doral. Maybe I should have tried something else but arepas are definitely not the way to go here. read more

My daughter and I went to La Coriana to try another Venezuelan place, I think it was ok. We ordered tequeños, papelon con limón and a malta. I didn't like the papelon con limón. For you those who don't know what this is, papelon con limón is a juice made out of sugar and lime. It's a very refreshing drink. The one I tried at this place was just sweet, I didn't taste the lime in it. The tequeños were ok but not great. First of all the plate where they were served was to small and this is more like a suggestion. Since you are giving a good amount of tequeños, you can place them in a bigger plate, I don't mind if it's a plastic one but bigger and it looks better. The taste was good but they were a little over fried. The Place was spotless. I loved that and that was the first reason why I decided to eat in here. Also, the background music was amazing, We listened to more than five songs and as we looked at the gorgeous pictures they have of my beautiful country Venezuela. Thank you !!! Stayed in Doral for a weekend and walked past this restaurant several times on our way over to the market down the block. We decided to try it, but could not communicate with the nice lady at the cash register since we didn't speak any Spanish. She pointed to the menu and seemed to be recommending the arepas to us. Luckily another person came out from the back and quickly realized that we needed help. He was able to help us with our order, and we got two arepas: one pulled pork and one chicken. The restaurant was pretty crowded when we got there, and we luckily were able to find a seat after we ordered. You can see them preparing the arepas behind the window, and when it is done, they will place the meal on top of the glass and call it out. They actually called out our order in Spanish, and luckily (again), another customer realized it was our meal and handed them to us. Both arepas were so tasty! They were crunchy on top and filled with so much vegetables, meat, and sauces that they fell apart as we ate. We ended up finishing the meal with forks. This was super delicious and induced an almost immediate food coma. read more

I used to work as a waiter in a 25 table restaurant/café before and during covid, we had staff cuts and I would be by myself doing register, preparing food, attending the bar, making coffees, cleaning, and serving tables, all by myself in a fast paced restaurant and I would have NEVER received any guest by cursing at them. When we opened the door AT 1 PM IN TO AN EMPTY RESTAURANT, we were welcomed with a "coño de la madre." The guy there incredible rude, gave us his back all the time, trying to ignore us, no food is worth the terrible experience never coming back. This small Venezuelan joint, you'll find inexpensive but very palatable typical food. We had a Patacon and grilled Arepa. They used a combination of sauces that went incredibly well with the meat which was moist and full of flavor. Both of out dishes besides its moistness, the arepa and patacon had the perfect crunch to the bite. To top it off these Venezuelan guys came in and made this place feel like home. They were cracking jokes and communicating with the owners as if they were family. let me tell you i love going to a place and feeling like I'm more than a regular or just somebody that is just coming in for a bite. This is a Venezuelan restaurant that has everything from tequenos, empanadas, and sandwiches. They have a spanish and english menu so there isn't really any language barrier with ordering. All you gotta do is point and they'll know what ye want. After ordering we waited longer than expected ~15minutes. There weren't a lot of people there and from what i saw it took 2 minutes to make the whole meal so they kinda make you wait on purpose. Maybe it was because I didn't tip but its not like they provide any additional service that mandates a tip. The food itself was ok. I got the chicken sandwich which came in a hotdog bun (not what i was expecting) but they top it with chicken, cheese and potato fries chips. It was pretty filling but something I could have jumbled up together at home after a drunk night. In their bathrooms they were out of soap and paper towels but this is something that occurs in a lot of other good restaurants. The price of the meal was only $7-8 so that was good and its a place i'd definitely recommend to others but definitely not at the top of my list. read more

3 stars for the food, 1 star lost due to the horrendous stench of this place. Think about mopping your floor with the same mop for 3 weeks and and leaving it in the same dirty bucket full of black water after each and every wash - multiply that x 10 and that's what this place smells like. With a hint of smelly feet. The place looks kinda run down, which matched the smell and not in a charming, cute little hole in the wall way. The service was good - owner was manning the place on his own on a lonely Saturday afternoon. My friend and I were the only ones in there, come to think of it he could've walked the food to us vs calling me to the counter to juggle my order. I'm Venezuelan so I feel I have a pretty good palate for my native cuisine. The tequenos were pretty good. The green sauce didn't really shine but it was OK. My Cuban companion loved it, but what does the poor girl know. The cachapa was good - the cheese was on point. The arepa was unlike anything I've ever had before - he makes it very different than what I'm accustomed to. It was super crispy and I prefer mine fluffier. The filling - carne mechada - was tasty. Sadly this place doesn't offer empanadas which is one of my favorite things to eat when indulging I don't think I would go back to this place. Great Venezuelan-style fast food in the Doral area. We come here often and are very fond of the hot dogs, arepas, tequenos, patacones, pastelitos and cepillados. You can also find here some Venezuelan products like frescolita (soda). They offer lunch specials but I have not tried them yet. The place is located in a shopping center with plenty of free parking.
